I always hit Harwards when im in the area - funky place (the shop is in a neighborhood behind an older home very odd set up like a garage that's been turned into a store) and the guy who runs it is a hoot - but for central Jersey ive never found a good shop even in the Cherry Hill region. Your best bet is to cross over into Philly, Strings n Things in Ambler, Tim's Racquet just north of Philly is good and Tennis Junction down the road from Villanova U both been around for years.
I have a card from Everyone's Racquet with a Mt Laurel address but I can't remember what it was like.

    Live near Hapward's in Bloomfield-
also check out TennezSport (who's a poster on the board) in Union City.
There's also What A Racquet- in one of the Caldwells, I think. Never been there though.

I live in Jersey City and unfortunately there aren't many tennis shops around unless you go to NYC but in Union City there's a shop called TennezSport and i go there all the time for my tennes needs and the service is great. Hapward's in Bloomfield is another awesome shop, the owner is a really good guy. I'll go there for shoes but I don't know where i'd go to hit there.
I recommend both Tennezsport and Hapward's!

I believe it's on Weaver, a side street not far from Bloomfield Ave.

Remember the store itself is the converted Garage behind the house - there is a small sign in front of the house but you must turn into the driveway and go behind the house and park. Easy to miss the irst time.

Great shop -- they come all the way from Houston to shop there. (Not Michael Russell, of course!)

Everone's Racquet is the best tennis store in South Jersey!

I usually go to Soccer Post & Tennis Net in Pennington. Not a super huge selection since it's mostly a soccer store, but they have the essentials, the prices are decent, and the people who run the store are very nice, so I'll keep going there.
