I can watch tennis all year, I can only watch the Olympics every 4 years. I have no use for tennis in the Olympics. And I hate to break this to you, but the only people making a big deal about tennis at the Olympics are a minority of people on a tennis forum.

    I can't agree more.

For juniors, they can participate at the Youth Olympic.

In men's football. I believe the rule is that each team is only allowed 3 players aged 23 or over. This rule doesn't apply to women's football.

I don't mind watching tennis at the Olympics. The more tennis events the better for me. It's not as important as a slam but so what? It's still more fun to watch than WTF for instance and it has better coverage than a master. There is also a special intensity to it, you can tell how much it means to a lot of players. It's a cool event because it's very unique and it's the only time when tennis is mixed with other sports. The athletes care how well their country does in different sports than their own. There is a conviviality and a solidarity at the Olympics that is very pleasant. Like DC but on a grander scale.

When I see tennis at the olympics, I just say "Ehh another tennis tournament". Tennis has their real olympic events.. The grand slams. The olympics to me (as far as tennis goes) is just another tournament.

For guys like Phelps, Lochte, Bolt etc.. Its the biggest stage for them.. For the tennis players, its just another tournament, but not the ultimate like the slams

Do you have written down in your notes how many Olympic medals the real king of clay Max Decugis won, I can't find the information anywhere, and I am curious. Thanks in advance.

I agree. Football would also overshadow many smaller sports if it featured all the big stars. I feel football has no place at the Olympics.

What's the purpose of having a diluted event. Better not feature at all.
