just wondering which tennis string has been available in the market for the longest period and is still doing well now? Is it Prince Synthetic Gut?

Babolat VS has been around for quite a while and is still a very popular string.

i believe babolat was the first to make gut string....so im guessing it's Babolat VS gut. since im pretty sure all the other stuff came after.

VS Gut - I sure it has change a little (processing, etc). But it is still been their number one string...

for non-gut, Blue Star is still available in limited circles. It had that scratchy velcro feel

If we are talking synthetic gut, Leoina 66 and 77 (as Nuke pointed out above) has been around very long. I recall using this stuff 25+ years ago. Blue Star, which I did not know was still on the market, goes back to the same time period.
