I got a sample few weeks ago but didn't get a chance to string it yet. Typhoon on the other hand is best thing since slice bread but its not for everybody (only serious ball slappers need apply hahaha). Basically for me its ALU rough substitute and for that I am forever grateful to Genesis for creating it and in the process saving me tons of money not having to buy Lux every 2-4 hrs.

I am curious about 3Blade but typhoon works soo well right now that I am reluctant to even try something new.

Black Magic by genesis is another awesome string just typhoon gave me that little extra spin that I needed playing with dense 18*20 95sq in racket.

oh man i can not wait to string up typhoon..aha..that fired me up. I am the same way, if i get into a string i hate to try another, but I am still only 3 months in with the pure storm and am still learning optimal setups.

On my "top 5 biggest tennis related disappointments" list Typhoon and BM are pretty much at the very top. Goran and I usually share opinion about tennis stuff (not so much when it comes to handling our spouses....oooooops that would be OT :D) but we almost got into fight over Genesis!! lol I absolutely HATED both T and BM and I truly am looking forward to reading your thoughts/impressions :)

Guys beware of 2 guys in an SUV "paramax" electronics scammers. I have never been scammed so my ignorance followed them into a gas station near blanchard. They had an elaborate story with receipt's, paperwork, warranties, etc. Not to mention the products looked great. I just looked online and they actually have a semi legit looking website and everything. Amazing how far people will go to scam. The stuff apparently works too (youtube).

Anyway I saw through their crap and I wanted to call the cops but I decided to simply leave ASAP. Next thing you know someone pulls a gun.

Moral of the story = deal sounds too good to be true . . . it is. I learned my lesson.

Just bought the Dunlop 200 lite and a set of alu power rough. We'll see how that works out. Not sure about strings tension though.

True dat my friend definitely different opinions but that's the beauty of tennis everyone is slightly different but generally speaking one which likes Alu usually likes typhoon and if memory serves me correctly you do not like Alu as well correct. Simply you like softer poly which is not a bad thing. I wonder if you would like signum polys?
That Kirsch competition is definitely good find that u told me about.

Also curious what did you think about cyberflash in your pro kennex being a similar stick to pt

What was the product? Was it audio gear? Usually I find those guys trying to sell car audio gear.

I cannot believe you folowed them to the gas station. Usually don't even let these guys finish their sentence I just say sorry man I'm in a hurry and that's it. Unless you live in Seattle where people genuinely are approaching to help or sincerely ask something. :)

I email back and forth with user KCraig on TTW. We agree on 90% of all strings but there are 10% that we are adamantly opposed on.

Thats the scam except the guys were in a blue SUV with only a couple things in the car so it didn't seem quite as "scammy" lol (look at me trying to make myself feel better) . . .

They had a home speaker system that they were trying to sell me and the projector that is in the video.

I have been looking at "paramax" (knockoff brand) stuff and actually some people say that their products work well. Maybe I should have paid! Joking of course and I am going to report this. No reason not to.

no no lol no guns thank god. I was just saying I never risk getting into any sort of hostile engagements with strangers if it can be prevented. Didn't want to have them catch me calling the cops. You never know who is an MMA fighter or who has a gun these days . . .

Wow, Coyfish, that is just bizarre. How did they pick you? Where? I remember the "white van scam" story from 2006 I think. Two guys approached me at the gas station in Cape Coral if I remember correctly. They looked very enthusiastic to sell stuff but when they heard my 'Russian accent' their faces changed instantly and they just walked away :)

The Gator is down. Popped a calf muscle tonight at Sanlando in a league match. I was up 6-0, 5-3, 40-40 - two points from the match. I was moving to my left - no big deal and I felt this pain. I actually stopped and thought some one had hit me with a rock. I was looking through the fence trying to find the kids who hit me with a rock. Then I thought it must have been a tennis ball - but it was my calf. I had to retire and the team lost the match. Probably out for a while - and probably will get fat. Oh well - I will get over it - things could be much worse.

think they pick those who look to be somewhat cool and with cash. happened to me before as well. this was while the white van was driving beside me. have bought stuff before but only legit items (no need for elaboration).

need to find the white van with pt57a, pt630, etc.

Nobody messes with mother russia !

It was just fate I guess. We were both at a red light in traffic and they were right next to me + my windows down + exhausted after 5 sets + College kid in batmobile = prime pickings ... It was at goldenrod and university at marathon gas station.

Well it was a tight battle between what I got you and the cheetah bag but regardless you will be styling tomorrow!

This thread is getting harder to keep up with, so many posts every day lol.

I've had those scammers approach me last summer at RaceTrac on Alafaya. gave me the usual "over-stocked-need-to-sell-asap" bs story. I said no and they moved on to the next victim who actually seemed to fall for it... so I said something is fishy and those scammers walked up to me and told me to mind my own business LOL.

Oh and my friend popped his calf muscle about a month ago and it took him 2 weeks to get back to tennis. funny(?) he said the exact same thing about looking around for kids who threw a rock... hope you recover soon

I got scam approached in the white van off of Fairbanks/Mills in the Publix center. They seemed like nice fellows, and $1,500 later I am watching Law & Order through my brand new 10.1 surround system.

Just kidding, I brushed them off knowing it was the van scam. I don't watch Law & Order either.
