PP, we will play for sure tomorrow. 6 hours of tennis here we go

BC, I really did jinx it. I brought all my tennis gears and am even wearing tennis shoes right now. we may still be able to squeeze in 1-2 hr later in the afternoon if we get lucky, though.

If my wife lets me :) I have not seen her all week so tennis might be kind of touchy subject:

"Hi Babe I missed you oh BTW see you later I will be playing tennis for 5 hrs now:)"

    I might have a problem:

I heard. When I started playing again at age 30, I decided to jump right in and sign up for a singles league. I was winning the first few games handily and then I was out of breath. So my opponent wisely started drop shotting me and a few games later the calf muscle went. I think I was out 3 weeks.

Just make sure it does not bother your elbow.

Played 3 sets today. Used NXT Control and won the first set easily. Switched over to Prince Premiere LT and lost the second set. So I went back to the NXT Control and won the 3rd set.

How's NXT Control? probably not very durable? I have a set Wilson sent me few months ago. broke the string today so need to restring tonight. Should I hybrid it with something else (I have some cheap nylon, gosen ice poly, and luxilon m2)

NXT Control is a poly/multi hybrid all in one string. I got 4 sets on it so far and it still is in decent shape.

The injury appears to have not been as serious as I had originally thought. I'm still walking gingerly but the normal motion is improving each day. I still plan on taking time off - probably 2 weeks. I dont want to rush it.

Sounds like your calf strain was about the same grade as mine. It took me 3 weeks to get back on the court. The nice thing is, any other lingering injuries usually disappear when you take an extended break from tennis.

I played the guy you got hurt against twice in league matches years ago. Not fun returning the serve of an ex-MLB player but once you get the ball back he is inconsistent.

Did you beasts hit Blanchard on Sunday too?

I went home and strung up some Typhoon..it's a little high, at 59#s, but I figured out how to get the tension better. Like BobFl has said, the dropweight is usually 4 pounds less off the stringer. Over night the tension dropped 2 more pounds.

Anyway, what I was not doing was raising the tension 5 pounds on the last pulls of the mains. That is key to getting the tension right for me.

I was a little envious between BC's 93 Square inch prestige and Bob's 93 SQ inch Black Ace. I love those smaller heads..they just feel so easy to swing. Only thing about that microgel prestige that messes with my head is the real short grip length.

I'd shank balls like crazy with those smaller heads.

chores, etc nixed hitting Sunday. :( think the MG Prestige Pro is closer to 94 as compared to Tebow's Bio 200 (95 sq in head). imagine the MG PMid less than 90. weight is 12.2 oz for the strung MG PP i've been using.

curious what my serve speed is averaging these days. feels like i'm getting more pace lately since changing to a more shoulder friendly serve style.

So BC, your racquet I hit with was the MG Prestige Pro? I have always liked it, the Black Ace gets compared to it a lot.

I don't really shank that much with Mid size sticks..it makes no sense, but I seem to hit fine. I am a huge Safin fan and always loved how he crushed with his PC600s. That is a little small, but 93-95 is definitley doable for me. I noticed a difference as soon as I hit with BC's Prestige..it is heavy, but swings light. I feel like you can get more racquet head speed with a smaller head, but that could just be in my mind.

I am not sure how hard my serve is, but I am not going for big ones yet. Just trying to get going with nice placement and spin. Huge difference for me in going more eastern. That really changed it up for me. I feel like I can do different variations just with slight changes in toss placement. I double faulted a lot less, but that sun in the face was a challenge..lol.

Haha..good to see ya Bob, glad you liked my outfit as well. :) All purchased at Ross if you ever want to recreate my fashion!

You are tall enough to make the 98 look like a 93..lol. But I want to try a mid again for fun sometime.

Man, I never get tired of watching the 2009 Australian Open final. That's THE BEST match ever. That' a tennis lesson from both of them. I feel like playing immediately. Does anyone want to play right now, I think they never shut the lights off at UCF LOL
