I sometimes wonder if everyone should have just 1 term in office. That way they only vote on what they think is right since re-election is not a concern.

Got a report that the Gator's team lost their first team USTA match 3-2 in Daytona today. Going to hit some balls tomorrow AM to test out the knee. If it feels good, I might try and find some dubs.

If you are still interested in a pure storm tour I have an original (pre-GT) one I would sell at a very reduced price. I also have a lot of pure control teams.

George should get an award from the USTA for all he does to promote tennis.

Got back out on the courts for 3 hours this morning and my knee passed the test. Heard the Gator's team won today.

Well, that was a fast healing, that's good. Now you and coyfish can play his "goodbye match". This handicap here will like to see it so let me know when & where will happen. :)

It was just a minor knee sprain. Beware though, this time I have my serve working normally.

Yes, maybe I will see you around there. I hope you're not injured? We should hit one of these days but as you know I only hit on the clay courts. :)

Goran and I had a blast today with a radar gun! :D We were consistently delivering 120MpH serves! A few more months and we will match maybe even surpass mikeler!

I'll hit on clay. I like it now a lot more since I learned to slide.

I am just resting my wrist..still making sure not to strain it too much. If I feel it acting up I just take 4-5 days off and thats what I have done this week. :) I should be back in action and good to go now.

120 is pretty good for a couple hackers. :) Who bought the gun and when are you bringing it to Blanchard at lunch so I can time my serve?

How much is radar testing at sony erricson again?
Please everyone bring $5 for EVERY serve you would like to measured. I know that NOBODY would chip in if I asked to do a Group Buy now everyone wants to use it :)

How much did you pay for it? When I was in high school, they used to have an ATP tournament down at Grand Cypress. One year, it moved to Heathrow Country Club. They had a radar gun at Heathrow the year I went. It was $5 to have your serve speed measured. You got two warm up serves and they measured the 3rd one. Not the best warm-up. I of course mis-hit the serve that they measured and it was 98 MPH. That of course pissed me off to no end, because my friend was ragging on me that I could never hit over 100 MPH. The line was too long to try again, plus $5 back then was a lot of cashola for me.

    ^^^

I hit 115 on that thing at Heathrow..same tourney that Agassi won. It was when my serve was a complete bomb (when it went in), but my form was probably awful.

My entire juniors career was based on 1st serve and forehand..lol. terrible.

It was $150 on Amazon, was that a pro radar at Grand Cypress (measured right after your ball leaves the string bed) or like mine where it measures the speed of the ball around the net (before the impact in the court)

Can't remember if Agassi won it or Sampras. My serve is bigger now than back in high school, which is why I'd be interested in seeing what it is with my shoulder healed now.

It was at Heathrow on a practice court directly behind center court. I'm pretty sure there was a guy right next to me measuring it.

That was most accurate form of measuring than, like in the pro tour, they take it right after the ball leaves the string bed, nice...

Yes we went 1-2 in the tournament this weekend. I did not exactly have a great weekend - in fact I lost all three matches played. First match on Friday, I played #1 singles hoping to match up against the older player. He killed me 2 and 1. Next I played #1 doubles and lost 3, 5. Yesterday I played #2 singles and lost in the 3rd set tie breaker 10-7. Most teams had very young singles players 19-23. Kid I played yesterday was 19. Seniors - here I come.

I was down in the Keys all last week and only got to hit on a backboard for a couple of hours, but still felt ready. I played OK yesterday and had chances to win.

It is always tough to play new people when you know nothing about their game.
