Just off for summer break. I will be here until early august. Anyone know of any good round robins or clinics anywhere in orlando? Or a good teacher to get lessons from? 60 bucks to be fed balls sucks :(. Anyone familiar with the friday round robin at lake cane? Thx

mikeler....playing a flex match at Sandolo next week....first time playing at that facility....any thoughts? You know how court 10 at Ft. Gatlin is not the most desired court?....Not to be picky, but is there a most desired/least desired court there? Thx!

Sanlando is huge. Not really a bad court there like the famous 10 at Gatlin or 4 at OTC.

To me, every court at Fort Gatlin and Lake Cane stinks. The pros hog all the courts for the rug rats.

Man, my body is so tired from playing tennis 6 days in a row! Good thing my schedule is flexible now so I can play in the mornings when it's not hot and no rain. Fortunately, 2 of my hitting partners are 5.0 ex college and with flexible schedules too! I'm happy with my tennis schedule; now I just need to be in better shape...Hope everyone is having a happy July 4th weekend!

ps that Del Potro/Djoko match was incredible!

What is the rule when ur opponent catches his service ball toss about 15 times during a match and then on one particular serve he "fakes" catching his ball toss then serves an ace.

LOL - serves you right - not using a " ? ". How are we suppose to know what you were asking? LOL.

Really - who did this to you? That is a cheap trick - right up there with the under handed serve or stealing your underwear in the locker room.

You should steal his gel he has been putting on his legs. I think it is the same stuff he used to put on his strings.

By the way, all of you that are paying extra for expensive tennis balls. Stop! They are all the same ball. The manufacturer simply puts a different logo on the ball. Mikeler has proof now.

The truth will set Wicked free. After throwing about 15 errant tosses, number 16 was pretty bad but I decided to hit it to avoid Tennis Warehouse ridicule. It happened to be an ace on a game point. If he had not blown those 2 match points right before the 3rd set TB, I would not be here defending myself.

Might as well clear this one up too. So Wicked opens a new can of beautiful Pro Penn Marathon balls. He grabs all 3 and we proceed to warm up. Because we are both so incredibly consistent off the ground, the first ball gets hit maybe 3 times and then goes into the net. Wicked pulls ball #2 out and immediately I noticed the color did not look right. It was very dull, much like my wardrobe. So we hit it a few times and it does not feel quite right, like a cheap Wal-Mart knock off of a premium ball. I examine it and it says "Penn Championship" on it.

Since El Cheapo Gatorito is next to us, I just figure we picked up one of his balls. He "claims" that he did not have one of our balls but I'm pretty sure he stole one of our premium balls. I went to the Court House to get a search warrant of his bag but when I returned he was gone.

I've never seen gator so excited? It was like he was in tennis heaven? "These are the same balls? See? I told u so? ". He was practically yelling?

Thx for mentioning 2 blown match pts mikeler. I'm taking back my compliment that u played a good TB. I'll be putting that comment in memory bank.

Go ahead and keep believing those balls are different. They came out of the same can.

You probably believe in man made global warming too.

Gator I'd like to amend my statement that u were in "tennis heaven". I think u were actually having a tennis-gasm.

He was giddy but that still does not make up for the fact that I noticed the ball was different IMMEDIATELY. If they were the same ball, then you would think that it might take awhile to notice.

I'm a tennis Warehouse Mid Atlantic Chapter member visiting Florida on Saturday 8/10 and staying at the Holiday Inn Club at Orange Lake in Kissimmee.

Just wondering is there anyone around in the Orlando/Kissimmee area that would be up for a short hit Saturday?

I play USTA 4.0 - Sup2Dresq can vouch for me.

Send me an email through my profile - Thanks!

I vouch that he plays 4.0. I also vouch the following:

He sweats a lot and creates small puddles around a tennis court..
He yelps like a wookie during a match..
He's a super nice guy... but I would let him win...*insert star wars quote about wookies and games*
If he wears green to the court.. beware the YOTW.

Wow, is it something in the Florida water?

Is that like 7.0 anywhere else?

No takers? Looks like I'm going to have to hit with the resort pro. This should be interesting.
