Hey guys, I'm gonna be in the Orlando area on the 12th and 13th and was looking to see if I could get a hit in with someone? I'm a 4.0 and wouldn't mind playing singles, doubles, or even just rallying. If any of you would like to hit, shoot me an email (se.gold@Yahoo.com) and we can figure something out!

What part of town will you be in? I definitely can't play either of those days but I wouldn't mind stopping to say hello if I can.

I'm staying off of international drive, but I'm renting a car so I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance.

I've got a league match or ssGator80 on the 12th and another match already scheduled for the 13th. At this point, you may want to do a lesson at Lake Cane (hard courts) or Orlando Tennis Center (OTC) downtown (Har Tru and hard courts).

Im also going to be there on the 14th (I leave in the afternoon). I could potentially hit early in the morning if that could work.

On the 14th, you could drop by OTC and find a pick up partner.

Just found out my Orlando plans will be cancelled. A family emergency is forcing me to come back early.

Has anyone tried this at Sanlando yet?

    http://www.xglosive.com/

I know it looks like more of a cardio workout for beginners than actual tennis, but I always thought glow in the dark tennis would be cool to give a chance.

    Tennis at Blanchard Park

Is anyone interested in tennis once a week at Blanchard? Whatever happened to the group that played there weekly when BobFL was still living in the states?

what about the idea of swapping mains and crosses-so that the poly is on the cross and the multi on the main?

Use Gut poly. If price is not an issue it is the best setup. Just use Babolat Tonic plus in the mains - it resists the humidity and is 1.35 gauge. It lasts a long time.

My 18x20 plays like an open pattern frame in terms of spin. It's crazy.

Power, you like tonic better than touch? good point about the moisture and heat in FL.

what about the poly, solinco tour bite 17?

    Thanks

MCS will last about 1 set for me as a main string with a stiff cross but maybe your mileage will be better.

I'm hoping the first or second week of June. The way you are barely losing to the 5.5s up there, we need to setup some singles too my friend. Are you still living in Reston with access to the clay courts?

    Hey Salamon

Its Goran not sure if you remember me I use to be regular at "Blanchard Open" 2-3 years ago...lol

What is your email..I want to talk to you about possibly hooking up and training our kids together...

My daughter is 3 and I am trying to get her into tennis...

We can meet up at Blanchie like old times and see if work out for your son and my daughter...If they dont like it no biggie I dont want to push it on her or anything just thought it would be cool way for her to see someone her age playing...

3 is a tough age for tennis. My son liked to try and hit the ball over the fence at that age. Just let them do any activity on the court that is fun and helps with hand/eye coordination.

Yes I 100% agree that's what I had in mind as well... just let them hang out there (meanwhile) salamon and I can hit a bit you know just to get them use to hangin out at the court...

Perhaps I assumed msal son is also around same age as my daughter...

    How old is Zev?

yeah I get low mileage with Mantis even as a cross---but it still is a decent string for the price. I ordered some VS touch for the mains and some mosquito bite 18 for the cross-cant wait to try that out.

Solinco Tour Bite for me is very dead. yeah it bites the ball but it just doesnt have that crisp feel I prefer when playing with a string.

I tried tourna black 7 and it has a great reviews and has me pretty happy so far with the spin potential, feel and control.
Mikeler I just strung up my frame with the Volkl cyclone you gave me thanks for that again...cant wait to hit with it.

    Hello Central Florida Chapter,

I'm new to TT after following the forums for several weeks in the process of updating my rackets. Thanks for all the complementary info to be found around here!

Now I will be departing for a holiday roundtrip of Florida and, being as keen on tennis as ever, would really enjoy the possibility of playing one of you guys during our stay in Orlando around april 24th-29th.
After 25 years of tennis, being 41 years old, and reading well through the NTRP rating discussions I take the courage to consider myself to be playing at around NTRP 4.5 level (different system over here in Germany).
    Playing style is flatter-stroke all-court, 1hbh, 1st serve around 90mph.

So, if anyone might be interested in a match, I would be happy to add a racket or two to my luggage!

there used to be a guy here on the forums selling strings-anyone know who he is-I bought some Klip Optic Nerve and some other stuff. I'm looking to change things up a little-my Weiss cannon and Mantis reels are just about gone--plus the Mantis really does not last at all in the mains. I'm looking for a nice smooth poly to cross with my vsTouch mains. Anyone know where I can score some here in Orlando?
