Nice...i may head up there in a bit. Just got a nice little BMX bike to ride around town with and torture myself with only 1 gear. I usually ride up there around 4 or so on saturdays. It is is blazing hot out right now.

How much did it cost to play at Azalea? I went to Gainesville Friday night to catch a baseball game. Stayed overnight to catch the mens and womans tennis match on Saturday. The Woman advance to the national tournament. The Men are playing Auburn now and if they win, they will also head to the nationals.

It was $5.33 for hard courts. I think clay was $8 last time I played there.

Lost to S.K. in 3 today. Getting close to 100% on movement but still not quite there. Had 5 DFs today, but 2 were on the first 2 points of the match. Should have taken a few more warm up serves.

Cardio Tennis at Azalea next week. Im definitley giving it a go.

I have been playing with my dad a little bit. He can still chase down drop shots with some serious speed at almost 70. I gave him an Mfil to use and he likes it a lot.

When do you have JN? Suppose to being playing doubles with him on Sat at 9:30. I have a feeling you might be playing doubles and you dont know it.

Yep, just texted him and realized we got our wires crossed. I'm going to look for singles first and if I can't find anybody and you need a 4th, then I'll show up.

I used to do that before. One hot Florida Summer day in August, I left my Wilson Ultra II graphite racquet in my car and the next day it was warped and also melted!!! :( That was a lesson I never forget!

^ I've left my sticks in my trunk for years and never had a problem with any of them.

^ does the heat shorten the string life (especially polys) ? or no?

^ I've found that heat actually extends the string life for me with synthetic gut. With a poly/synthetic gut hybrid I have not noticed much difference. The poly always snapped on me so durability of the synthetic gut was not the problem. It seems like my MT is lasting a little longer these days too. It's not a huge difference but I can usually get an extra set or two when the weather really warms up.

I never sell rackets because I break them first.

Thermoguard won't do much over a long period of time like a long day at work.

*runs out to get his tennis rackets out of the car*
haha I always leave my rackets in the trunk... maybe that's why they have different balance points?

is this your racket? I'm tempted to demo one now :D

Volkl PB 10 Mid was the name of the game lol. I mean this is really one of the better rackets they made in the last 10 yrs. I was curious what the hoopla was all about after reading reviews and it really is all that and a bag of chips.

PT630 is the best racket ever made as far as I am concerned and in many ways I still play the best with it but I keep looking almost to confirm with myself that PT630 really is THE ONE, I almost cannot believe that I found my holly grail.

That being said out of all of the rackets I have tried and that and god knows I tried(read own) a lot. This one is the closest to PT with added benefit of swishing through the air quicker courtesy of volkls 19mm(feels like 10mm) beam. its like playing with 355gr badminton stick, and there is something strangely perversely cool about that.

Cant wait to pick up my typhoon reel so I can suit my volkl with full typhoon bed :)

If I was a pro (I know I know "if grandma had a penis it would be Grandpa") BUT if I was a lower ranked pro and could not get head to make pt630 for me I would buy 20 volkl's PB mid 10 and call it a day...

^ There is a store in my area that has a double IPA that I've never tried before. I forget the name, but a single bottle is $3.50. I plan to try it when my health returns.

Anyone else get rained out yesterday. It rained just enough on the west side to ruin hitting for the evening. Doubles tonight.

yeah..sucks because im ready to go. Got some racquets strung up and im ready to hit. Maybe it will be clear for tmrrw. I am doing some cardio tennis..it's free once and then they charge $10 a session. A little too much for me, but maybe now and then if it is cool, I will do it.

Excellent. You need to be able to trust your string jobs. I'm excited because I'm actually going to play singles again tomorrow and then try to play all 3 days this holiday weekend.

almost could not find the thread since it sank to the bottom of the SECOND page. Come on TW Orlando post some **** lol

I am itching to play sooo bad. I am not sure I will be able to in the next few days. That will make it 10 days w/o tennis NIGHTMARE... I think I am past withdrawal stage when you are shaddow swinging your racket or palm of your hand LOL

Played last night in some unseasonably nice weather. Had 6 aces with 2 double faults, so my strategy of just hitting all topspin serves seems to be paying off. My groundies were rusty since I had not played singles in 10 days. The Gator was 2 courts over and got his revenge against the guy who knocked him out of the Citrus this year.

I'm hoping they start making the old Maxim Touch again because their new version is not getting great reviews. What are some other multis out there I should try that won't break the bank?

I played last night. Realized that I love wilson stamina so much that I can use about any poly in it. I have the Dunlop Explosiv in addition to the BAM, and it hit real nice. I will stick with BAM because I love the thin gauge, but I have this Explosiv hybrid strung at 65#s and it feels fantastic for control and hitting out.
