Stamina feels soft but still crisp to me. I never have an arm issue. I haven't felt pain in my shoulder or arm since using the 4d200 and hybriding. I am sold on the hybrid now that I use 18x20. More open patterns snap way too fast for me, but the 18x20 lasts a long time.

It is really worth buying 1 pack of stamina and seeing what you think. A lot of people do not like it, but many people love it. For me it has a feel that I can not get with any other string. When I hybrid it, I get a super crisp feel from my string bed. I string tight in the 60s with it and BAM and have zero pain. It sounds like a shotgun and gives me great control. I could go on and on..lol...but everyone is different.

I need to play more, but I am hitting well right now. Just need to get more court time so I get my consistency dialed in. I am down to hit with folks after tuesday if any of you guys want to do 5-530 hit arounds. I am also working on getting my slice serve down..it is all I am practicing for now servewise.

Weather today was a tease. A glimmer of hope over blanchard but it rained just barely enough to soak the courts.

Anyone able to get together this weekend? Forecast is grim but you never know.

I like to practice, but I don't want to be the uneven number, if nobody else goes, then you guys should practice.
Even I put like 10 hours of practice this week, but I have problem with my head lately again(ala youzhny),and I'm trying to mellow down.

Played terrific today against P.M. I won 2 and 3. I only had 1 double fault which hit the top of the net and went long. I also did not get broken the whole match. My forehand was on and my backhand was solid. Always tough playing a lefty but he was a little off his game today.

No tennis for me today. My son has a low platelet count and has been hooked up to an IV all night. He is going to be OK, but it will be a long day.

Bob, I'm sticking practice serve and other things around my neighborhood today, but if the weather looks good at 6pm, I will pass by here to see if we can practice.

Thanks everyone. We are out of the hospital and he is doing much better. Mom and Dad are exhausted but that hopefully will not stop Dad from tennis therapy in the morning. All the grandparents have been a great help through this. This definitely makes you realize the important things in life.

My therapy went well this morning. Once again I held my opponent to 5 games and came back from 4-1 in the 2nd to win 5 games in a row. Playing on a hard court is such a different game than clay. Threw in 3 DFs but one attempt was going for an ace. The first DF I was thinking beforehand "Wow, I have not double faulted all match". Immediately after I thought that came DF #1!

Don't know how you do it mikeler. I can't play after I wake up. I get dizzy just looking at the ball.

^ I played "late" this weekend at 9 AM. The wife likes more time in the morning these days. I don't really care either way although I do like playing when it is slightly cooler.

The symptom is called ITP. The "I" stands for Idiopathic. What that means in simple terms is that the doctors don't have a clear idea of what causes it. The most common belief is that it is caused by a simple virus and/or vaccinations. We all were sick a few weeks ago and he had his MMR vaccine last month so my guess is that it was probably a combination of the two events.

I played last night and my game is really clicking again. So I think I'm ready for a rematch with the Gator soon. Had probably 7 aces with 5 DFs, 3 DFs in one game. :( Three of them I was going for 2nd serve aces though and I did have a few 2nd serve aces to cancel those out. The guy I played last night likes to cheat over to his forehand on 2nd serves, so it becomes a cat and mouse game on the serve.

Yeah the rain has been coming very late the last few nights. I like it! The hail is not good though. May go up on the roof and check the shingles tonight.

I hate playing in the AM too, but it makes sense on the weekeds. I have been riding bikes a lot and I have hurt my wrists unfortunately. It is part of getting them strong and absorbing some of the landings from the jumps that we take. I rode up to the courts 2 nights ago and was in some pain hitting balls for a while before the wrists loosened up. Kind of sucks, but the riding is a great rush and is also getting my legs in killer shape. I am moving real well on the courts, just need to give my wrists a few days relief.

^ I used to bike for years before I started playing tennis. Sounds like you are doing some off road stuff because I never got wrist pain.

Yeah all off road and then street bmx. The bmx is better for fitness because I have 1 gear and obviously it is taxing on the legs. But no suspension makes absorbing jumps a lot more technical. You just have to have good form or else you really feel those landings. But then when you go back to trails you are so much smoother and better, so it pays off. There is a nice little 7 stair jump I was hitting near my house and I think that is where I jammed my wrists landing a hair too far forwards..who knows.

Anyway, if my only sporting outlet was tennis I'd go crazy because you need a partner to play unlike riding.

Let's hope this weather clears for the weekend.
