The clay courts at OTC are practically flooded when it does not rain. Once you get heavy showers, those courts are done for 4-5 hours. Still, it could be an option in the afternoon if just sprinkles are going on.

They are some of the slowest drying courts I have seen. I think they get to much water to begin with. The last 2 days Court 2 has been wet and unplayable near the rear. You can hear the water running over at the controls.

Had a nice match with MS last night. I have been seeing the doctor and he has me on some prescriptions. They about killed me last night. They had me taking two of the same types of medicines, that lower my already low blood pressure. I felt winded and my heart rate was way high. That is why I hate going to the doctor.

Ever since they canned Felix down there, the courts are always soaked. The balls catch that water and become heavy which irks me. MS told me about your epic match. It's killing me not playing this weekend, but I'm not going to be an idiot with my shoulder like I was with my elbow. The sooner I rest, the less time I'll be off the court. Might as well take a chilly weekend off now than a beautiful spring weekend off later.

I was just in the area and it wasn't too bad out, just cloudy with no wind. accuweather and weather channel both indicate thunderstorm around 6pm.

    I checked cr4ppy weather.com and it was 15% at 2:05PM. When I got home (2:55PM) it was 100%?! Duh! I mean, really??? :)

I always check multiple radars especially in the summer. Some radars will show no rain in an area while others show a small thunderstorm.

I love this winter with these sweeping cold fronts where they say 40% chance of rain. It's a gigantic line covering the state! That's 100% guys!

Last weather note. A few weeks ago I was down at OTC in the morning looking at the WFTV radar on my phone. Bob Opsahl was down there looking at it with me and I told him that I was not sure if we could trust that company. So I asked him if he had ever heard of WFTV and he said "A thing or two".

I don't want to give away all my secrets!

OK, my favorite for looking at local radar on the computer you'll need to visit Wunderground.com and type in your zip code. Then click on WunderMap at the top left. You can also visit the super long URL below:

    http://www.wunderground.com/wundermap/?lat=28.50370&lon=-81.33060&zoom=10&type=hyb&units=english&rad=1&rad.num=6&rad.spd=25&rad.opa=70&rad.stm=0&rad.type=N0R&rad.type2=&rad.smo=1&rad.mrg=0&wxsn=0&svr=0&cams=0&sat=0&riv=0&mm=0&hur=0&fire=0&tor=0&ndfd=0&pix=0&dir=0&ads=0&ib=1

For a larger scale view radar where I check out the entire state, I like the radar at Intellicast.

    http://www.intellicast.com/National/Radar/Current.aspx?animate=true&location=USFL0372

For mobile phones I like WFTV's mobile radar. It looks kind of funny on the computer btw:

Here is the National Weather Service forecast for the area:

C'mon man! 5G is not that bad! :)

I am just curious: how much can you push? Not necessarily now but when you were in the best shape. In my best year I was able to push 209lbs 14 times in 44 seconds and my max was 308lbs - twice. This is not really special if we factor in my weight at that time (245lbs) but since I am tall it is ok...

Are you talking about bench press? My max was 130 lbs, once. That was when I was at the peak of my fitness. :) 5 lbs less than my body weight. :)

Yeah but im trying to lose weight, including muscle. Last year i was too big (muscle) to tennis. I have lost about 10 pounds only of muscle (20 total) to play again. I was looking good but very stiff for tennis. well, i guess you can't have all at once :???:

Well right now at ~165lbs my best bench is 225 for 10 reps. "Dwight Howard" can vouch for that one :).

I got up to 175lbs at one point but I am probably stronger now with all the years of training.

Also Bob if you have any double sticky tape could you please bring it tomorrow? Really want to try this leather grip and almost went to etennis to buy one but $20 for a grip is just absurd.

I'm jealous you guys are getting in some tennis. I get back from the Bahamas and instantly got sick. I'm still recovering, but about better. I'd love to hit, but my body may be 1-2 days away from having the energy to play well.

I am sure Coyfish can rep 225x10, hes in great shape. That was my best at around the same weight 170#s...8-10 was always nice. Nowadays it is 5-7 or so at the same weight. I personally don't go past 225 barely at all anymore.
