dang it. had played out during lunch. Didn't know heat had so much impact on strings. I guess the heat loosened up my multi's. It's spraying like crazy. Since Cicada's aren't out yet, that's what I am blaming it on.

Yeah, the ball gets live in this hot weather.

Good idea to go up a few pounds in tension.

Hot weather is soft poly hybrid time. Cooler weather is when I go back to full multis. Cooler back here in Orlando than NOVA.

Haha, yeah... looks like the ultimate camping vehicle.

In related car news, I traded in the A4 for a new Ford Fusion, losing major cool points in the process. But for a car that was 3 years old with only 15k miles on it, I could no longer justify a $500 car payment on a car that sits in a parking spot 90% of the time. Oddly enough, the Fusion is actually bigger inside and I can actually fit the two car seats in it.

I should never have made that joke about it being cooler in Florida. The last 2 days in the afternoon have been quite brutal.

Fusion is actually a decent looking car from Ford. Looks like the put a little Aston Martin DNA in the design.

    So what's good TWMAC?

Got back from the US soccer game with Sappy yesterday. Some great strikes from Dempsey and Altidore and one comical own-goal by the German keeper. US defense is still a bit shaky. Good win before our WC qualifier vs. Jamaica friday.

Post game picked up a Farmer's daughter from &pizza. Tasty!

Pretty amazed at the development off East Capitol street. Lots of changes since the time I lived a few blocks from RFK doing Habitat for Humanity.

Yeah, no doubt they tried to make it look like the Aston. That's the exact color I got, black... it's actually black with some sparkle stuff in it so I can activate My Little Pony powers. It's a fun little car to drive and Ford didn't take any bail out money from the gov which is a plus in my book.

Took Rio to a kids birthday party this weekend at some indoor bounce place... whoever thought of that ***** is a genius.

yep, days of Chucky Cheese's have long passed. I heard the start up for one of these is rather very little (<$100K). All you really need is a tall office space and partner with some nearby Pizza Parlor.

I was thinking JRStriker and I can start one up and we can play tennis dodge ball. Wookie can practice his precision during his off time from groin injury.

Yeah, those bounce places are exploding everywhere. I swear, there's one office park where they have about 2 or 3 of those things next door to each other.

Start up cost may be low, but what's the insurance costs? Just let some kid fall off the high slide or break an ankle.... boom...lawsuit.

Some serious shot-making going on in the Gasquet-Wawrinka match. Worth watching if you are telecommuting today.

Lots of one handed backhands deep in the French Open this year.

Was treated to the Almogro / Robredo match the other day.

waivers are signed and part of the $30 per head fee is covered with Gross Negligence Coverage. I think the key is to find a cheap but easy to get to location.

Surprised Wawrinka went down 2 sets? I hope Sloan Stephens gives Marsha a good match. I really want a grunt-free final.

When we pulled up to the bouncy place there were about 30+ Sienna minivans in the parking lot. I thought I was at a Toyota dealership, lol.

It's on like DK. I am hitting after work. Hooked up a set of Cyclone 18g's on the PK Q15. Hopefully I won't leave my arm on the court afterwards.

Good match to watch; Almagro's brain kept getting in his way. Thought he had it won about a dozen times. Robredo/Ferrer should be interesting.

Not getting to see much of the Gasquet/WaWa match now; I understand the American angle with Sloane, but Maria seems to have her number. Hope she's nice to the kid at the handshake.

These two guys are blasting backhand winners from everywhere; fun to watch.

Hoping Jamie Hampton makes the next round. IIRC she had a real gutsy performance at the AO, playing through an injury.

she's half korean too. so i'm half rooting for her to win. her dad is former u.s. military too. so i'm 100% rooting for her to win as well. i think that adds up that i want her to win 150%.

anyone hitting today? someone hit with me. i haven't hit in over a week since lugging my kids to the beach for a week. sunburned and tired = not a vacation.

Jankovic is a tough customer, no real offensive weapons but very quick and consistent, if her emotions don't get in the way. Should be a good test for Hampton.

Saw on CL a set of three RQIS1 Tour's XL racquets + decent strings for $75. Too bad I am already over the 3 stick limit or else would consider getting.
Anyone played with this stick before? Looks pretty comfy with a RA of 64.

Jrk, just make sure your ford doesnt try to kill you! (insert pic of upsidedown wtewlf)
P.s.- how old is ur youngest? Sydney is 9months old and gettin cuter every day!
    ---
My wrist is recovering and i think if i do more forearm pronation and less wrist snapping i migh be able to keep playing.

P.S. - after 1 match, when it was amazing, cyclone performance deteriorated a ton. Im going back to black code.

Thanks Dats. Very nice of you.

As for your wrist.. how does the Brad Gilbert commercial go? Wrist assist.. the best 49 dolllars you'll ever spend? Or does the price keep changing?

Roland is 6 months... took him to the pool for the first time on Saturday. You should come over to the pool with the kid. We can talk about tennis and HVAC units.

Take care with that wrist... remember when I had my elbow problems? Three cortisone shots later and I was out for 8 months. It was time off or surgery.

thanks for all the tips guys!

most of my problems have been caused by wrist snappng on serve without pronating my forearm. ive tried everything but the right way in attempts to get topspin on my serve.. or kick.. or somethin.
oh well. it usually goes in and goes pretty fast so that should do for most of the guys i play.

im just glad my racquet doesn't feel like 500sw still.. hopefully i can ice and ibu it after i play and keep playing this frustrating sport!

I haven't checked the match results yet, but did Fed's exerted effort vs Simon yesterday take its toll on him today vs Tsonga?

Fugured that would be more forearm than wrist. But he did say he isnt getting proper pronation. So maybe that will solve it.
