I bounce between Crystal City, the Pentagon, and Capitol Hill so I can hit wherever. I think there is a park with some courts near Pentagon Mall too, that may be an option.

You're right about Tuesday being the better day... what the hell is up with this weather?!?! How can it be 75 one day then 45 the next day? This is getting annoying. :x

this is the best thread ever. hahahahaha

to 2nd JR, i just strung my racket up with a full job of blue gear. i had krischbaum pro line in it before, and this feels MUCH softer on first hit. but i only hit like 5 minutes with it so no concrete analysis yet. i also love the blue color.

How about I meet you at the Pentagon City Metro at about 6 pm on Tuesday. Would that work for you?

Yeah, DC weather is nuts. It can be 30 degrees and rise to 70 in one day, then drop back to 30.

Zap - full blue gear? I use a hybrid.

HAHA, Sapient and TFM, you guys are hilarious. I'll take it as a compliment. I don't think he's a bad looking guy. But, he does have 3 Adam's apples.

TFM, I just wanted to know...did you grow at all since the last time I saw you? Just Kidding! :p

Yeah that works. I actually park right up the street from the Pentagon City Metro exit so I could come scoop you up and we could head over to the courts.

Yeah, well I was at practice!

Why would the team captain cancel practice in advance, because of the weather? Usually that sort of stuff is done... uhhh, the day of. At least I did go over to some other courts and found some random dude to hit with. I just can't believe I drove all the way up to Loudon County for nothing. That is faaaarrrr for me...

I emailed that guy by the way too see if he could put me on the team email distro and I got an out-of-office reply.

Topaz - 4 different teams?!?! Yeah, it's time to put down the racket...

Whoa!!!! I didn't realize you called me from those courts.

    Sorry about that.

Yeah, I was surprised he canceled - instead of saying - if it rain sat, we meet Sunday. Actually it worked better for me as I had to watch Little Bri this morning.

I am getting a chuckled how it was suppose to rain on Sat.. and now its raining today, Sunday.

Sadly, I was looking forward to crashing the TFM hitting session in Reston. I had my peeps looking for an asian, waiting in a car by the tennis courts....more than likely chewing on some korean ribs....

Next time fellows. Seems like mother nature has other plans.

I was looking forward to it, too, but as you say, Mama Nature has final say on ourdoor tennis.

Just as well; I'm still hung over from celebrating my Tigers' drubbing of UCLA. Man, did they look good. And KU looked scarey for 25 minutes. KU-MU should be a game for the ages. We'll see if they can run with the Tigers. :)

Hopefully is good game 2-nite. I think memphis has better starting 5 (If rose's tummy is fin) But Kansas is way deeper. Especially with the 4 dudes they will put on Dorsey they got like 2 6-8 dudes and two 6-11 dudes. If dorsey can somehow beast inside and grab 13 or more rebounds memphis will win this game. If not KU will cut down the nets.

I'm Just glad UNC lost. I was really getting tired of hearing about Pysco-T's love of sushi.

    Okay guys,

Lets get feedback for the following dates. Then we will talk location.

This weekend is shot .. .since Sup is playing.

So how about the weekend of 19th or the 26th?

    The majority wins.

Weekend of the 19th = yes.

Weekend of the 26 = probably no.

Both depend on league matches. Weekend of 26th is also tournament time.

    Keep on voting for days.

Let me throw this idea, if we do have on the 19th, ... want to make it a tennis/bbq? I'm thinking tennis at 10am - BBQ at 1pm.

Answering the above will help me put together location ideas.

    *insert TFM drooling*

Hmmmmmm...... that could be a good idea. I'm thinking Jerk Chicken on the grill.

TFM - we could bring out the kiddos.

Oh - and a warning to the TW MAC peeps if Sup breaks out the brews - don't try to keep up.... Even party machine Drak in Florida couldn't keep up.

That was where I was going. Maybe a TWMAC BBQ with tennis.

My thoughts were Glade Clay Courts in Reston. It has a pinic area, a swing/jungle gym, a nice path to the lake, and a water park with a slide if its warm enough.

Oh and 4 clay courts with lights.

I made a call into the association to figure out costs.

Other places I can think of are Nottaway.. but is it kid friendly and is there a picnic right there by the courts? Can you reserve courts there?

Sounds like the 19th is working.. well I want TFM to go, since I enjoy his jokes, so I'm leaning to the 19th . When I tire of him.. then another location will be chosen.

P.S. We may want a TWMAC baby race with bets. We can put a racquet with a clean grip at the finish line.. watch them drool and crawl to victory!

So thats how it works. Majority rules, then its all about lord TFM and what he wants. You know what really grinds my gears?

You Sup2dresq, you grind my gears.

Nah dude it appeared that 19 was gaining momentum. April was bad month for weekends for em. But if something happens in May as long is it aint the 1st weekend im good. Stupid national guard always at the worst time :)

    I'm losing the joke Spider?

Maybe time for a goodfella quote (as I'm watching American Gangsta).

"You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little f***** up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to f****' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?

Hmm. Sounds like the national guard has you pinned. Do I need to make a call? Though you are out passed Towson. The drive just sounds painful. I will be in your neck of the woods in May. Literally in HG. So maybe we can arrange a hit, when i meet up with some "people"..

Again, I'm ok for the 19th.

The 26th is the beginning of DC USTA league, which happens sometime during Saturday mornings. It is also the weekend for the Reston Invitational. Please don't ask me how I'm going to juggle both, as I have not figured that out yet!

Sunday afternoons is ACTA league, which will affect me, JRK, and magma.

baby races? my baby doesn't crawl. she's like her daddy - sedentary. there's no crawling involved.

tennis bbq sounds like fun. how many people can we accomodate for this outing btw? for example in our indoor sessions, we usually capped the number of people who could join us because we had limited numbers of courts. does having 4 courts mean we can have some round robin singles in? does it also mean zapvor can be 2 hours late and still not miss the event?

Can i least bring some minature homes, and set it around her.. put some godzilla music and make a video as JRS kids makes an appearance.

I havent heard back from the association. Need to find out details. If we only have 2 courts.. than 8-10 peeps of round robin doubles, but with a big time limit and burgers on the standby.

You want round robin singles? You want a piece of me TFM? Cause you know you can take me.. you are far superior. BTW, how much money you got?

It can possibly be like Arthur Ashe Kids day at the USO.

Some doubles, some singles, some target practice for prizes?

Am I making this too much to resist?

Hebrews, Bubbas, maybe a rack of ribs! Yeah i said it.. Ribs!

Potluck .. we need something green and something with mayo for PurePrestige.

do i want a piece of you? well yes. but you are lucky. there are others on the docket that i want a shot at first.

first i wanna take on topaz. then i wanna play zapvor. then i wanna play schmad. then pure prestige. and i figure after 45 minutes i'll be pretty tired but i'll play you even if i might not be at my peak condition.

muahahahahaaha. ooh and then i wanna take all challengers in a buffalo wing eating contest. and then i wanna take on the winner of the buffalo wing eating contest in a set of tennis with the condition that if you blow chunks you lose.

JR's bri and my chubby baby destroying a miniature city godzilla/mothra style would be hilarious. i'll have my girl do it with a babolat - it's the only thing those war clubs are good for.

rock creek park is usually first come first serve, but if the group is obnoxious enough, i'm sure ppl will leave on their own. :)

but the good news is that those 3 looks reservable... we may also want to try 16th/park since it's a larger complex

    Wheels are in motion.

Glade Clay Courts are nice. That weekend is the first weekend they are open, so the courts will be fresh.

The costs are what will be tricky. Waiting for call. However, for the price, the fact its clay and reserved and it has a picnic area and kids area.. may be worth the small cost.

I should email TW to get a banner or some sort of give aways. We really promote/meet up than most chapters.

    *laughing* Still bitter, hunh?

As far as reservable outdoor courts go...both Wakefield and Jefferson District park take reservations. Not sure about other facilities though...but Jefferson District has the kid's playground, and mini-golf. Hopefully though, Sup's courts will work...I want to play on clay!!!

Sounds like a plan hollywood. Just one thing.. you have to say that top gun line when I hit an ace..

"where did who go.....".. Just kidding.

I know a lovely couple up there. Near that main street. Figure see them and then go up to Bel Aire to see an old tennis friend.

No decoys show. However, do they have ones in the shape of skinny chinese guys who come to meetings 2 hours late?
