We used to take a family vaca in January out to Keystone, but my God, it gets expensive quick.

First, take whatever you guys pay for flights, lift, and food, and multiply by 4.

Second, I need a larger vehicle, normally an SUV.

Third, since the wife is going, the hotel we stay at needs to be nice, normally one notch down from the best (it's just easier than dealing w/ a p1ssed-off spouse).

I want to say the last time we went it was upwards of $6K, and that was with me getting a great deal on flights ($300 round trip).

I went to Beckenridge once and landed in Denver and took a 2 hr drive. It's so nice there. We went during Jan. I've never seen so many luxury cars packed in such a small town in my life.

I honestly need to look for a house down there. It must be nice enough for even Mclovin's wife to approve.

downs, swerve, paulman sighting last night. lots of demos.

downs may or may not have settled down with the pontiac aztek of tennis racquets: prokennex ionic 5 315.

it's ugly but i hit with it and it has amazing comfort, good pop, good spin, good control. it's like a stick of butter.

also got to hit with swerve's wilson 95S. it took me 5 shots to decide i didn't like it. good sweet spot, good spin. flimsy and not buttery in the slightest.

pacific xfeel tour was low powered, middling spin, great control. but it felt great. easy to swing quickly.

my graphene speed mp's have so far been decent. it needs a lot more weight in the hoop. but even stock it's not terrible. great for serves and overheads though.

i'll admit it...i publicly love this racquet now...i have zero expectations for it, but the frame is soo money...even with the prince syn gut clone that's in the demo, or the poly in the one i bought -- they both feel great! now, i haven't played a match with it yet, so we'll see what happens tonight when i play mixed...

with all that said...i'm hungry...what's for lunch?

it's a sweet stick. i recommend you cut out the strings. take out the grommets and grip. then sandblast the funk out of it and repaint that one matte black. maybe some menacing hints of red around the hoop too. get some decals and rename that racquet the CD 315i.

I had the Q5 315. brought it out in the last outing with skriker and monkey. it has ebu spin, good plow and power. couldnt get used the feel. maybe the Q5 has less feel. I had a kI15 pse as well. really dig the.stick as it has plenty heft. just got tired after 1 hr play.

isn't the PSE one, like 40 oz??? haha, those specs looked WAY too heavy for a normal human being...the ki 5 315, actually lined up with my pure storm tour plus chopped frame -- in terms of specs...definitely glad i tried it...

Q5 315 looks to be similar to Ki5 but MUCH stiffer specs...

the stick was felt like hurling a Olympic discus every time I swung with it. stable as heck and plows like a snow thrower but hurling a freight train takes a toll very quickly.
actually one of the few sticks played with no lead. lol!

was thinking about it as a kinder and gentler pdr replacement. didn't really work out that way...

what do you mean by chopper? you mean old man slice and dice like me? not a chance.

or you mean you are gonna be cutting down old men slice and dicers like me for breakfast?

or you mean you are gonna have paulman find a racquet that is extended length and have him cut it back to 27 inches in length and BAM -- play with a porkchop for life?

cottage cheese and coffee. Going light. I refuse to buy a new suit for a upcoming interview.

got my OV1 MP! Can't wait to hit with it. I bet it's going to have a firmer feel than my V1 Pro because of the thicker frame. Wish they make a thick frame smaller size frame. Anyone got buddies that work for racquet companies?

TM is my monkey slice mentor. After a mini-lesson he fixed my BH-slice to the point where it's almost not repulsive.

thanks, I will still be a govie and won't rest until we make a law to:
    1. Make bacon as an official food group.
    2. 3 sticks per household rule is considered unconstitutional.

But did u hear there's talk about eliminating the govie pension plan for folks starting after the law passes?

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...d-end-defined-benefit-pension-for-future-feds

@sappy I didn't know it's really hip now to get a house near the capital. some of the properties there are over a mil.

i may or may not have seen paulman and the swerve in the forest moon of endor last night.

i can confirm that i tried the graphene radical mp. i only hit maybe a dozen groundies with it. i gave it back to swerve because i liked it too much. buttery, great pop, great spin. it's a fantastic stick. makes me really wanna try the graphene radical pro now.

i can also confirm that i have corrupted the swerve who already has the title of best 3.0 i've ever seen. but now with 20% more monkey slice.

    what's for lunch?

I have gotten my hands on the Pro demo...I will bring the Rad Pro to our next Endor hit and will once again make you question your racquet choice  you were hitting silly monkey slices with that Speed though.

i hit silly monkey slices with a 2x4. i need to learn to hit topspin. i put the graphene speed mp's on the for sale forum. i may be switching to the graphene radical pro. let's hit wed or thurs nite owl.

lunch is pizza. it's already been decided by the office. i'm kinda on the fence about this.

i saw someone hitting with the graphene radical -- so i guess people enjoy it enough to switch fairly quickly!

    not sure what's for lunch...probably something healthy-ish?
