    So what's better to follow a big dinner? A bigger lunch.
    What's for lunch today?

    Our big dinner was Friday night when we had some family come up to visit.

    Have no idea what I'm going to lunch on, but I need to find something soon.

    McLuv, wuts ur string setup?

    I think Im giving up on full poly for a while.
    Im trying maxim touch with thin poly crosses but it doesnt last long.
    going to try string savers but if that doesnt work I might have to be a $ natty gut guy$!

    my go to multi right now is prince premeir control (thanks to paulman suggestion) -- it's super crisp with a fairly slick coating...so it doesn't seem to move a ton...like some multis (still moves a little)

    I have been a gut main/poly cross guy for 6+ years now. I've toyed w/ different polys over the years (TopSpin Concept Pure, Lux Ice, Kirschbaum Pro Line II, MSV Co Focus, etc.), but they're usually in the 1.23-1.25mm range. Gut is almost always 17g, except when going down to FL, in which case I bump it to 16L.

    Current setup is Pacific Tough Gut 17 / Pacific Poly Power Pro 1.25 (Pacific sent me some samples w/ my last order, and I really liked the Poly Power Pro).

    going with the 7g...way more usable...the q5x SW becomes too much in faster paced 4.5 dubs...

    I never got down with the maxim touch. Full bed was OK but always seemed to go back to biphase. now that crap is like mad expensive.

    Gut is pretty sweet.

    One of those Ti-80s I bought came with gut/PHT. played pretty well, but tension was too low for me with that frame.

    Im scared to try Gut/Black Code because the black eats through my Bi Phose so fast im scared it wont last.

    Maxim touch mains are playing great for me. Poly crosses play amazing for an hour but then notch and dont get the same spin.
    im thinkin bout trying string savers byt I should prolly just try full maxim.
    want to try bkack zone cuz it would be $2 per half set!
    or quasi armor&bighitterblue
    Or gut/poly but it better last or id be pizzed
    The number of string possibilities has left me dazed & confused

    Paralysis by analysis I guess!

    It's constantly changing haha I usually sell what I'm not using but I'll snap a photo. I think I have 3 q5x's, 2 7g's, 1 ki5x, 2 pure storm tours, 2 technifibre tfight 325, poglb, poglb that's chopped, some pure drives, bunch of head prestige classics? There are definitely more - just can't think of them now.

    If next week you see someone in a winter coat shivering in the DC area ...during your so called "spring weather"... it's probably me.

    I'll be visiting the folks for a couple days then hitting Del. -- Did someone say Dewey beach?

    hey HW, send me that Wise tension head if ur not playing. Wooo!
    ~~~
    hey Sup if you want to drink 10 beers and then play to the death... let me know! :twisted:
    ~~~
    im going crazy trying to find the right strings for the blade. hybrids feel great but not enough control for my delpo forehand winner attempts. no full poly has played well for more than 1 outing.
    just want to forget about the 1billion string varieties and focus on my fitness and technique.

    I usually take tha bet 9 out of 10 times. Except Dats found the one drink that takes me down easily. new years or most celebrations don't end well for me because of this drink.

    Darn you - part of France - drink.

    I did a little research. I've played 3 matches for our 4.5 team, all of them doubles, and all of them vs. 4.0s. No offense to any 4.0s out there, but if I don't start getting some competition soon, I'm going to get crushed at Districts.

    On the positive side, I'm playing in a tournament this weekend at Rock Creek Park, so hopefully there are some good players.

    the other team in our 2 team league, has a lot of new 4.5s or 4.0s on the team...i think our team is very solid, but we won't really be "battle" tested...

    Got you.

    ------
    On a random note.

    Played twice this week. Feeling like a boss! LOL!

    My reason for playing Sat and Sunday? I have to commit to both because one of my tennis days might get rained out.

    I use that one all the time when the regular PM thunderstorms arrive which is pretty much this week, a month earlier than normal.

    I'm starting 5.0 league next month. Many opponents have won Open tournaments...can't wait.

    -Well I have to get on the court more often. Once a week is not enough. One of the guys who has a similar schedule said "Man, that's only playing 4x a month!"

    Wow! Stepping up Mikeler.

    -----------

    BTW - TWMAC, I think we may have a MrHan sighting soon. I"ll keep you updated.

    I suck at doubles which will make it even more difficult. Harder to get away with all the junk balls I like to hit with an extra dude on the court.

    anyone tried out the Steam 99s? Was thinking about picking one up used and trying it out? is it low powered and is it really crazy spin?

    Was thinking about needing a reason to get rid strings I don't like besides selling it or trading it for something that I'll end up selling again. =P

    Was thinking about trying the VCore Xi 100 as well. Really like the Ai100, it's really predictable but needs lead to increase swingweight. The racquet is amazingly stable and easily cuts through the air (ahem... easy to swing with) for it's head size/weight.

    McLovin: Them PK's are still going but not as strong as I am getting weaker.. I need to get some of them Spinach in your diet to get your Popeye Forearms.

    Speaking of Spinach and other healthy foods that i tend to avoid, what's for lunch?

    They're having a demo special now @ TW: $1 demo for their spin frames (see http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/tradeinspin.html ). They have two packages: The 'pro wannabe' and the 'pu$sy hacker' (may not be the actual package names, but I'm its something similar).

    I ordered the 'extreme hacker' for my wife as she commented the other day about maybe trying some new frames. It has the Juice 100S and the three Steam 'Spin Effect' models. They are also offering a trade-in program for a Spin Effect frame. Not sure how this compares to TW's trade-in program, though.
