I agree its powerful vs other polys, as it seems to have a bit more elasticity that stays for a longer period of time.

The main thing with scorpion is the control IMO is so great that it allows me to feel confident going after the ball with great ball rotation and confidence. Heavy slice ...

The new pure drive + was just a bit too powerful for my normal gut mains / poly cross set up.

As soon as I switched to this string I beat 2 undefeated 4.5's in the 18+ league. When you feel you cant miss, it really relaxes you and you play even better.

    Cheers

Like I said, if it works for you don't change. Unless we face each other in Nationals, then you might want to try out some new strings...

Hey Sap. Did u ever end up with the smoker? You mentioned you were getting the Masterbuilt Model. How's the build quality? Just afraid i'll end up with a giant thin can with metal shelves. Amzn has a model on sale.

Funny I made a mistake. I fixed it :) .... I'm sure we would have a close match. The heat might be to your advantage, but I'm usually good with it.

I take it trash talking is not your strong suit! Our team is thin going into Sectionals and all of us play on Har Tru almost exclusively. So we are certainly no slam dunk for getting to Nationals.

It's been close to 100 degree here almost every day for a week!

If I wore those shorts above would you have any problems concentrating if my junk popped out?

Probably true - when I was at 8.0 nationals a few years ago I played a guy who should've been rated 5.5 and the girl should have been a 5.0 (guy wa currently playing in college and girl just finished playing college). Is your partner making the trip?

    Congrats!

One nice thing about 40+ is it eliminates the college kids sneaking into 4.5. Sure many played college ball but 20 years ago. The experience of going with the team is more important than the results on the court.

Cool, Tuscon in November? No idea. I hope it's warm because it won't be here! It's outdoors.

Downs, yes, I remember JD telling me about that. My partner made 8.0, 9.0, and 10.0 sooo...I think he's going out and coming back in between. His gf wants to go so I believe it's been decided. If not, we can share AW.

Mikeler, good point! My 40+ got knocked out in playoffs, after losing a clutch pair to injury. Gut and I remained undefeated though!

Your "4.5" partner has beaten me twice in 5.0...I hope that gets me bumped down haha...good luck at nationals! Your team is pretty stacked -- assuming everyone goes...

I would figure if its really hot outside, wouldnt they have indoor courts? Maybe a good business opportunity.
