I'll have to check again but I think it was $99. I don't think I will get it. It will just end up being another racquet in the closet. If you are interested I'll grab it. It was a L3.

No reason in particular. I had just done @downs_chris 's frames, and that was where he tied off, and the grommet looked flared as if that was where it should go.

Looking at the Klipper stringing patterns, I now see I should have started at 6T.

Yeah, I use 'T' for 'Throat' and 'H' for 'Head', but the Klipper site used 'T' for 'Top' and 'B' for 'Bottom', so I thought that was the standard. Guess not...

I always knew Head and Throat.

Never saw anything on Klipper, and Im glad I didnt. That would have consufed the liing crap out of me when i was teaching myself to string.

playing ok with APD (lets be honest i crush the ball with it and have to sign autographs after i play) but i am pulling a Downer and switchin it up to the DR98! I should probably get a sponsorship for making the change.
i got a bunch of gear in the classifieds... dont make me trade it all to Dennis for a pair of used nike socks!

The blower worked pretty well. Snow ended up being over the top of it so there were multiple passes that had to be made.

If you were cool enough to be one of my facebook friends you would have seen a couple pics

no, however i can include, as a 1 time offer, a 10minute video depicting the patented "twisted wrister" which supposedly makes the serve direction impossible to read and 2nd serve harder than 1st serve!

just for the MAC yo! current members only.. don't be tryna sign up now to get this dealio! ACT NOW!

After hitting with it for a few minutes, I now remember why I liked it so much 8 years ago: its stiff.

Back then I was coming from a Pure Control + 'Swirly', which is rated at 70RA. I could feel the stiffness from the first shot. However, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. Forehand felt solid from the start, as did the serve. Good depth, pace and spin on both. Backhand took a little while to get going, mainly due to the lighter weight. In all honesty I didn't get to volley with it much because I was serving so well I really didn't get many opportunities at the net. That, and @downs_chris was struggling w/ his Warrior on returns. HIs serves, however...

All in all, I think I'll keep it. Its a nice frame to hit with, and I might throw a little lead in the throat. Its already balanced as I like it, but it could use a little more heft.

But my main stick is still the Fischer Black Granite Pro No 1. It just feels like an extension of my arm.

Stringing can be therapeutic. Second job was a success.
