1st hit with YYDR98... it was sublime! played exactly like i wanted it to play!
lots of spinny 20 ball rallies (which for me is amazing) and the feel was SO comfortable yet not too noodly like i found the ai98. just felt like the perfect racquet for me!
finally i have found the gRoat!
i could stock up with 12 of them jolly-style! wooot

    gRoat gRoat!
    puppy monkey baby!

i hope none of you are walkin around with only 1 thermo compartment...it just looks... well kind of SAD really!
check my classified listings for more details homies!
gotta clear out some Wilson and Babolat gear to make way for Yonex!
i give extras for local pickup!
the wife is gonna kill me if she continues to see 6 racquets and 3 12 packs lying all over the house.
you gotta help me out! i know some of u are pullin in 200k! its tax time, write it off as charity deduction!

have you tried the magical DR98? I didn't like the AI98 I demoed... maybe it was a messed up frame? cuz i literally couldn't hit one ball
over the net. zero spin or power for me.
but the DR98 feels awesome. can't believe i bought them without demoing.. but it turned out to be a brilliant decision!
plush but not too flexy in the throat. man, i played like a boss with it!
    i used Maxim Touch17/MaxPower17 at 57/54.
    Total gRoat-ness monster!

(i might still be honeymooning.. but i really think this is the ONE!

I've been hitting w/ a player the last few months who can rival @downs_chris and @auzzieizm : @rc.hudson1 . And like you, he thought the DR98 was 'the one'. He bought one, hit (well) with it, and picked up two more the next day. Hell, he even grabbed a Yonex bag to boot.

Then, I saw him this weekend sporting his Pure Strike Tours...

Then we hit Sunday and he asked me to pick him up a Blade 98...

I have tried a friend's DR98 a few times. I liked it because it played just like the Ai98 but I wasn't 'wowed' by it. I wasn't 'wowed' by the Ai98 either the first time I tried it but I could definitely tell that it was a racquet that could replace my heavier PT280s. At the time I was looking to go to a lighter racquet. I have no complaints with the Ai98. At first I didn't like the muted feeling but it played so well that I was able to get over it.

I'll take his Yonex bag! if it's a 9 pack tour bag!
    I've got 2 18x20 blades for him!

I really don't think this is gonna be a short fling with the DR98.
    I'm in LURVE!
I also really liked the XI98 but switched to the Blade (which i played well with too).
But I think the SW of the newer Blades is just a touch to high for my glass wrists.
So I then decided to just go for massive spin with the APD for the 6th time (which i was playing great with too)
but the RPM 16 made volleys and even serves just feel horrible. I could have tried trying hybrids to make it better
but I just missed having more of a player's frame.
I could use Blade or DR98 but prefer the DR98 by just a little.
I used to change racquets because I played horribly with them and hoped that a new one would fix my problems... fortunately
now i play about the same with any racquet and it just comes down to personal preference and how i want to play.
    cuz i'm AWESOME!
    VAMOS!!!!

    i'd rather have BURNT ENDS!
p.s. - i can get most of those beers at costco.
p.s.s. - not sure ribs can take travel and 40min of reheating in an oven and taste anything close to how they would fresh. but i dunno what fresh tastes like so leave them for me.

but im not hatin... bring that stuff over here... PRONTO!
glad you are back in time to experience this weekend's weather! welcome to the DEEP FREEZE!
lucky for you that you have stocked up on every REI basement sale! fleece and down jackets in every color!
i can hear SUP laughin at us idiots.
might as well move to cleveland!

the 1/2 lb of burn ends didn't make the whole trip.. they were consumed during my 2 hr wait for the flight along with a Z burger.

don't think you can get the smoke stack series of boulvard from costco.. but i could be wrong

mmm Burnt ends... i ate several pounds of them from WIllard's in Chantilly but that is as close to OKJoes as Bud is to Dogfish. sigh.. one day!

I like the Ai 98 Pj better...

I completely forgot about Maxim Touch. I can't remember, does the string last at all? Has anyone tried Alpha Gut 2000? Are full multi string beds in??

@McLovin, what frames are you dealing out of the trunk of the car these days? Anything I would like?

MT17 feels great.. but no, it doesn't last very long. Snapped 2 mains yesterday, ok grommet sheer from a mishit..doh. It also notches pretty easily. I like it but think I need to start testing 16g multis. isospeed like that junior? they don't even sell it down under do they? how'd he get it? weird.
