1st hit with YYDR98... it was sublime! played exactly like i wanted it to play!
lots of spinny 20 ball rallies (which for me is amazing) and the feel was SO comfortable yet not too noodly like i found the ai98. just felt like the perfect racquet for me!
finally i have found the gRoat!
i could stock up with 12 of them jolly-style! wooot

    gRoat gRoat!
    puppy monkey baby!

have you tried the magical DR98? I didn't like the AI98 I demoed... maybe it was a messed up frame? cuz i literally couldn't hit one ball
over the net. zero spin or power for me.
but the DR98 feels awesome. can't believe i bought them without demoing.. but it turned out to be a brilliant decision!
plush but not too flexy in the throat. man, i played like a boss with it!
    i used Maxim Touch17/MaxPower17 at 57/54.
    Total gRoat-ness monster!

(i might still be honeymooning.. but i really think this is the ONE!

I've been hitting w/ a player the last few months who can rival @downs_chris and @auzzieizm : @rc.hudson1 . And like you, he thought the DR98 was 'the one'. He bought one, hit (well) with it, and picked up two more the next day. Hell, he even grabbed a Yonex bag to boot.

Then, I saw him this weekend sporting his Pure Strike Tours...

Then we hit Sunday and he asked me to pick him up a Blade 98...

I have tried a friend's DR98 a few times. I liked it because it played just like the Ai98 but I wasn't 'wowed' by it. I wasn't 'wowed' by the Ai98 either the first time I tried it but I could definitely tell that it was a racquet that could replace my heavier PT280s. At the time I was looking to go to a lighter racquet. I have no complaints with the Ai98. At first I didn't like the muted feeling but it played so well that I was able to get over it.

I'll take his Yonex bag! if it's a 9 pack tour bag!
    I've got 2 18x20 blades for him!

I really don't think this is gonna be a short fling with the DR98.
    I'm in LURVE!
I also really liked the XI98 but switched to the Blade (which i played well with too).
But I think the SW of the newer Blades is just a touch to high for my glass wrists.
So I then decided to just go for massive spin with the APD for the 6th time (which i was playing great with too)
but the RPM 16 made volleys and even serves just feel horrible. I could have tried trying hybrids to make it better
but I just missed having more of a player's frame.
I could use Blade or DR98 but prefer the DR98 by just a little.
I used to change racquets because I played horribly with them and hoped that a new one would fix my problems... fortunately
now i play about the same with any racquet and it just comes down to personal preference and how i want to play.
    cuz i'm AWESOME!
    VAMOS!!!!

I think he returned the bag & frames since he never used them.
    Repeat after me:
Hello. My name is @datsveryinterestin, and I'm a racquetaholic. Its been 5 days since my last racquet purchase...
