Count me in too! I normally hit with ShcMad so I would certainly be up for some hitting with TW'ers as well.
I'm still down at college till May 4th though, so if we have a meeting after that. I'm all in.

hehe, you're very right. I was so happy to see so many members showing support for the mid-atlantic chapter that i forgot to cast my vote.

I'm pretty much free almost everyday these days since school is over and I have to yet get a summer job, so I'm pretty flexible with timing. But, the thing is that next week, my family and I are moving from house to house, so I'm pretty busy until May 3rd. But, after that, I should be free. By then, my hitting partner PurePrestige will also be back from school.

The public courts do get a little full over the weekends and week nights. Reservation is not essential I would say. But, it would be a nice thing to have. As far as park choices, I'm up for Nottoway, Wakefield, or any Reston area parks. I usually go to Nottoway or Wakefield to hit with friends. Wakefield has a lot more courts than Nottoway which has 4 good hard court ones and 2 rubberized crappy courts.

ILoveCarlos and Starlite should also come out for the meet since they also live in the DC area!

    Just sent you an e-mail.

FYI - Sundays are usually best for me. I can also do Wednesdays sometime if my soccer team isn't playing.

Thanks, James. That's very kind of you.

It's been two years since I've really taken an interest in tennis, so I definitely feel like I lack the match experience that comes with time. And, I'm still in the process of adjusting/improving my strokes little by little, so I feel there's still a long way to go. But, I really love tennis, so I don't find it hard to devote time into improving my game.

Besides, I think I was born a self-destructing nutcase (like Gaudio), so don't worry too much about me being too harsh on myself. :p Thanks for the encouraging words though.

Ok boys...this week is kind of bad for me...but next week, as far as Mon and Wed are concerned, may be a possibility. I'm playing on three teams right now, so the matches are starting to pile up.

I'm still wary of this whole thing...worried I'm gonna feel like the 'mom' of the group!

    update

    Update:

In order to make it easier to keep track of suggestions, votes, random comments, etc I am going to list the voting options on here so we can all get a better feel. This way I am not sending out emails constantly and answering questions. A lot of you haven't replied to the emails anyways.

List of courts to pick from:
    Wakefield
    Nottingway
Reston area courts (MrHan & company has the hook up)
    Lee district
    South Run Rec center
    Haines Point?
    Jefferson?

As you can see this list is short because a lot of you have not made suggestions!

As for day, it looks like everyone is busy this coming week, so let's plan for the week after. Please let us know what day works for you so we can find an overlap. Finally, best wishes to those moving, playing matches, studying for final exams, etc.

    zapvor,

I appreciate you seeding me #2 but that's putting me pressure under pressure.

And, I'm voting for Nottoway, Wakefield, or Reston area courts. But, Nottoway gets packed easily in week nights and weekends, and there's only 6 courts in total whileas Wakefield has about 10.

    Wakefield has nice courts.

I actully will have final exams all through May (stupid HS schedule), so I hope this gets off the ground and I might be able to join y'all in June.

MrHan -- Thank you for the welcome. Interesting that you're playing at Haines Point on Monday nights; last summer my USTA league played there on Saturdays. As the proverb said, I lived in “interesting times.”
