thepower is 12.5 oz 6pt HL and 65 stiff

then there is the A5 OS 110 sq, 12.2 OZ (346g), 10 HL, 327 SW, and even 60 Stiff.

Does anyone have a guess as to how much grommets typically weigh? The $60 grommets I just bought for my Donnay have a full head guard unlike what came on the frame. It is throwing the balance off, and feels too head heavy now. So I am probably going to have to counter weight, which I really don't want to do. Any ideas on how much lead I should add?

p.s. how was the clinic tonight? any doubles strategy take place?

  18. k i'll see u there at 11

  19. good clinic fellas!

my prestige sticks felt like 25lbs last weekend, but today they felt fine.
weird. i guess i am still just getting used to them.
the prestige MP and the storm ltd both felt so easy to swing in comparison.
i didn't hit with either because i can't afford any more of them!

strangely i thought i hit better with 2 giant wristbands on my right arm.
maybe it slows my arm down and smooths things out... dunno. i bet
    it looked cool!

i can't believe sup says i need to bend down more... i promise i am REALLY trying to get low.
my first 5 volleys were so bad, and then it started to click.
my first service game was also very embarrassing, and then it got better.

thnks JRK for letting me know i am still doing the "magic trick" toss on my serve. it should be simple to throw the ball up, but i sure like to make a mess of it! glad to hear it confuses the returner though!

i might get me some non-nike kicks. i have horrible balance in the vapors... it could just be uncoordination or my bad ankle, but it seems worse when i wear them. i might get me some asics... hope they are comfy!

nice serving JRK... except for the dfs! (i can't really talk about that though!)
    nice forehands JRS and HW.
i can't remember doing anything worth noting.. maybe a decent serve or two.
i usually only remember my bad points, and the clinic gives me plenty to remember!

dogfish is 10x better than chilis. i'm getting that bbq burger next time!

remember i give very special TWMAC price for YYRQIST1L !!!! :)

p.s. - do NOT share a cab with JRK.. i heard he goes KraZeeee

auz, i recall a few times that doubles strategy was employed.
1 time JRK made a nice lob return, but they lost the point
1 time HW took off some pace to hit a kicker and rush the net, but they lost the point
1 time JRS serve and rushed the net, stuck out his racquet and somehow volleyed back a well struck HW return.. i think he won the point.
Most of th time though it was ACE/ service winner/ or DF.
I think we need to play with only 1 serve next time....

Who had a Pure Storm LTD????? I have been looking at that frame all week!

I am gonna stick to my theory, that while not necessary to win in the clinic setting, the team employing actual doubles strategy should easily win.

Yeah, it's true. Having a strategy works. I just think everyone is too lazy at that point in the clinic to want to think about it - but we should.

Vitally, you had some good plays and we came back for the tie breaker win so keep ya head up man.

    Other highlights-

    - HW creates a 10 foot crater in the court after obliterating my short backhand down the line.

    - JRK uses his plastic man powers to get to everything.

BTW - That BBQ burger was top notch!!! Man, I could eat one of those right now. Dogfish is the spot! Great food. A real wood fired grill. Heard the beer isn't oo bad either.

I'm waiting for Vitally to go Sebastian Bach during one of these clinincs.... lol!!!!

It is extremely pleasant outside. I am meeting FL***** at 11 to play @ Nottaway. I would love to try that frame, and pretty much any frame in the name of DEMO.

Those two guys finally figured out that I knew what/where and how they were demoing. So I called them on it and got the clearing for these demos. Unfortunately I dont like any of them. I am starting to appreciate the Kblade 98. The Babolat is still in the running though.

Yeah. I hit with FatandLazy and Auzzie.

We played games and it was fun. I definetly like my Kblade 98.

P.S. Korean had an Esquire racquet. Auzzie has hand blisters. I found a pair of XXL black Nike pants that I'm going to give to JRS> appease the wookie.. perhaps you get better luck.

    Sup

  43. dang it, my neighborhood courts were full. sigh....

    JRK, still interested in trading.
TWMAC, still interested in AYCE korean food: IL MEE $20 !

FREE DOGHEAD BEER tastings at Westover market tonight 4-8pm.

    c'mon people.. talk to me!

My first match is at 10:30 @ Quincy Park. After that <assuming I win>, I will be playing at Bluemont Park. You?

FATLAZY brought an awesome racquet- an Esquire Grand Slam. Ceramic tennis racquet. SOOO soft, sooo flexy, if it were an OS I might like it more than my Donnay . And as a close runner up- despite the leather grip giving me blisters the day before a tournament- was the Babolat Pure Storm Ltd. Decent flex, nice and low powered, good spin, if it were an OS I might actually buy one. First racquet still being produced that I have liked in a looooooonnnnnnggggggg time. And I demo alot of racquets- in case anyone hadn't noticed. Sup commented on how he feels like a drug dealer when bringing me demoes. I guess I looked like I was feinding.

p.s. I gotta start researching ceramic tennis racquets. That feel was mucho bueno!

I sent you a text to come to Nottoway. I just assumed you were playing around on facebook, and didn't have time to come.

  45. i have no TXT capabilities.... plus i was sleepy until noon!

oops, I think you tell me that everytime. well it would have been swell if you joined us, and you really need to try that Babolat Pure Storm Ltd. That is an amazing frame. Finally a racquet manufacturer is doing something right.

On the other hand, Dunlop needs to check themselves, before they wreck themselves. The Aerogel 1hundred was awful!

Sorry I couldn't hit with you dude... I don't get off work until 530-6ish on Fridays. Just in time for Happy Hour!!!

I wish your racket had different strings in it, but I did like it despite the fact it was 4 1/2 and not the 5/8 I normally use. I was hitting pretty well with it too. How about this... we trade one racket for like a week or two. We can change the strings, remove/add lead, whatever. At the end of that trial period if we both want to trade then we trade. If not, then we get our original rackets back and they sit in our bags... forever.

*EDIT* Sup - where are those pics of the new Vapors you were talking about?

*Double EDIT* Auzzie - I'm sure you've seen this site before... you better hope your restaurant business takes off.

https://www.tennis******.com/racquets.htm blocked out word starts with "M" and rhymes with "tennis".
