Done! I just emailed the team, but again...I would give it a bit more time after this Sunday just because of the holiday. You can tell your big boss that you just need a bit more time, but the interest is there!

What happened to Jerry and those two guys from the Turkey Bowl?

I just drafted an email to all my tennis contacts...of which there are quite a few. Didn't send it though...what do you think? What happens if more than six people 'drop in'???

I think we can take our chances on more than 6 people showing. If it happens, its a good thing. I'll figure something out.

^^Don't forget to wear your nikes. We already have you playing with a smaller frame, now we just need to work on those horrible shoes you wear that always cause you injuries.

Sup, I got the Black Vapor V's. SWEEET. They are so effen light compared to the Wilson Trance I have been wearing. and low to the ground as well.

Nike gives you wings.. much like Red Bull claims.

    Adidas gives you stone feet.

    That is all.. move along.

We are a go for FF right after.. Games start at 1pm though. So you'll have to sing and dance for us until the games start. Or at the very least find us a place that opens around 10-11.

No headcount yet. I figured TFM was up for getting away from the kids/wife/relatives. So he was a go. I hope he is coming out for tennis.. so unsure as its not a set clinic (hence why it could be cancelled).

    Sure!

Just be warned .. its doubles. Only doubles. No singles. So just doubles. So sooner or later you'll have to volley to the open court.. hopefully not on match point *and miss - looks at PurePrestige*.

Are the college boys home? Will they be coming out Sunday morning?

I got lots of interested replies, but people are basically tied up until after the holidays...hope that helps some!

    It's official.

*sup gently walks up to the wookie, and with no warning kicks him in the family jewels*

Got a call to play a match with a college player this morning.

D1 player with lots of confidence. Sparky goes up fast on me 4-0 before I could blink. I held serve, broke back, and held easily one more time. His next service game was not so easy. I had to finally start moving and sweating. I felt like TFM during my clinics. Couple dueces, badda bing, badda boom, broke, held and after a couple games broke again to win 7-5.

I'm sweating .. good sweat.. */end seinfeld reference*. Anyways, the kid is just being a *****. All talk, all how he had it, he let it go, he should of would of..

Lets say it was enough to get me to finally want to play hard. Second set, I went up 1-0 hitting what I think is Drakuline murderous forehands.

*Again kicks wookie in family jewels*

Approx 11:55am, short ball, standing sideways *that reference is for you vitaly*, I crack a forehand that echoed for a second. Winner in the corner. HOWEVER. My precious APDC, ... is.... is... iss... is... is.. BROKEN!

    *cries on ground*

Near the cortex with a good rattle in the racquet head. You can feel the sucker about to break off.

I've been trying all afternoon to fix her, but she was pronounced dead at 4:00pm.

So YOTW. I pulled out the Kblade and we ran out of time 3-1.

I wasn't planning on buying anothe racquet as a back up since I have 3 kblades. Also the club doesn't have a babolat deal, so I'm not in the mood to bargain hunt.

    *kicks wookie again*

Honestly ... what a year.. I am sort of not surprised.

    Sup
    *insert tear*

    She died a good death.

Trying to find out more about this guy. I'm not buying his credentials. Though his serve was PP sounding, it was his ability to hit corners and crazy angles that was impressive.

Correction noted: Talked to my relative. Kid is trying to walk onto a D1 team, and the coach there has verbally given him the okay.

I'm not the best, maybe a bit better these days in competitive play since i have pros to hit with, but I should of been "put away". In the first set.

P.S. TOpaz, talked to Drak and joked about sending the babolat to the bar at his club.. to proudly hang in the graveyard.

    *plays taps*

Sup, I've got a few you could demo if interested. I'm doing nothing next week during the 10 - 2 time frame (other than work), and could use some good hitting before the tournament next Friday. Let me know if you're interested.

Oh, and congrats on taking it to him. Its nice to see us older guys teaching those young whipper-snappers a lesson every now & then.

If the racket has to go, it's better to go in the heat of battle.

I'll lay a wreath at the national Babolat memorial.

I was going to say something along the same lines...

McLovin, I am extremely free next week, and am dying to give the MComps a second go-around. If you think I wouldn't derail your tournament preparation...

Oh and if you are interested in the Head Radical, just come out to the next meet up, and I will let you hit with it to see if you like it. We don't need to deal with any paypal jazz for interTWMAC transactions.

and p.s. I am not trying to get a bad reference on these boards, in case you don't like it ;)

Not at all, provided we can get court time indoors. I'd hate to hit outdoors w/ 50-degree temps 3 days before playing in a bubble. Besides, forecast for next week sucks.

Hey MAC, the college boys are back in town :)

Also if anyone knows anyone selling a APD, APDC, PD, or PDC. All standard length. 3/8 or 1/4 grip for cheap(CHEAP) i'm looking to pick one up. Doesn't even need to be in good condition as long as it's structurally stable lol. :p

    Hi boys!!!

You should come on out to Sup's clinic tomorrow!

Plus, PP, I think he might have an APDC he's willing to sell! You said it didn't need to be in good condition, right? ;)

    PS...Topaz is baking cookies today!

PPS...Had another nosebleed, too...right in the middle of Macy's!!!

Hahah, like I said. So long as it's structurally stable. Sup's racket sounds like it would be better suited to use as a wishbone.

    Wookie stop it!!!

While working out at the gym this morning, i managed to hurt/strain my left wrist. I'm having a hard time typing at the moments and its hard to squeeze my hand.

    Grrr.. that is all!

P.S. I notice that anytime we put a pic of the wookie up.. something bad happens to those who posted. Just an observation.

You know what's weird? I've never had a nosebleed. I've been punched in the face a bunch of times and my nose never bleeds.

I will sneeze though if I get popped in the nose...

Well, until this week, I'd never had one either! I got one earlier this week, and totally wigged out and called my mom (she's a nurse). She said it was more than likely due to that whole cold I had. Then this morning, just washing my face, look in the mirror, and blood! I had it for about a half hour, too, just wouldn't stop! Then, in Macy's, it started again! Ugh! So weird!!!

It is odd that you've never gotten one, especially with all the abuse your face has taken! (too many bar fights JRK!) Maybe you have less blood vessels than the rest of us?

    TheJRK,

Good game. Unfortunate that you lost our bet. Please pay $20 and do not pass go.

p.s. since there is no more clinic for you, when and where can I collect?

Does that mean you won't available to hit Monday or Tuesday this week?

I'm bringing my sticks to work both of those days this week. I'm simply going to throw out there that I'm ready to play both days ~ 11. I'll let Sup/Auz let me know when & where to show up & I'll be there.

The draw was just posted, and I play Matt Remen from VA in the 1st round. Anyone know him? If I win, I play the #3 seed, Albert Asiedu-Ofei.

want to try to play at Herndon Comm Center so that you can practice on their courts (if I remember correctly the tournament is being held there)? It used to be only like 20/hr for those courts.

    Found the rates:
Prime Time (after 5pm Mon.-Fri; Sat & Sun all day):
    Contract Time Random Time
    Adult TOH Resident $24 $28
    Adult Non Resident $32 $36
    Non-Prime Time (until 5pm weekdays):
    Adult TOH Resident $20 $22
    Adult Non Resident $28 $30
    Youth/Senior TOH $18 $20
    Youth/Senior Non Resident $22 $24

Sounds great. Hell, the non-resident, non-prime rates are about the same as the club I belong to!

So, Monday @ 11? Should we reserve a court? I'm good w/ 1 1/2 hr if we can get it that long.

I thought there was one more Thursday in January. If not, then I'll just show up to Dogfish one evening and give it to you then. I still have to meet up with JRstriker or TFM to get my money. Maybe we can all meet-up at a strip club, like in the Sopranos.
