Well TFM if you are German dont you have to play with becker frames then :) I had an idea you were not 100 % asian because you dont wear reebok pumps and use a POG

    Happy Birthday Topaz!

We should have made a MAC vid awhile back, it appears now Zap wears real tennis clothes! Also Shcmad no longer hits so hard, he goes for placement and hits with moderate topspin.

    YOTW is truly over...

    Happy Birthday Topaz!

TFM - I played with the Becker 11... I thought the Becker 11 and the Vokl C10 were the exact same racket, with different paint jobs.

Sup - Clinic this Thursday? I got my new shoes, although I think I got the wrong size in the Ballistecs. :( Now I've got to return them to get the right size.

Yes, Yevgeny had a great 2-handed bh. For some reason, quite a few of the Russians (looks at Safin) have great 2-handers.

    Yes!

Guys, we have JRS, Vitaly and maybe Magma for Thursday. I think Auzzie got confused when the invoice was being printed out. So hopefully he decides to continue for the next session.

    This weeks line up

HW, Vitaly, TheJRK, Auzzie. Let me know if its different.

Sup - aren't I in the line-up for thursaday and the next sup clinic? Or is that a line-up for something else???

TFM - you are on sucka! Bring on the warm weather.

McLovin - YOTW is based on the Krypton calendar - ask sup...

BTW- what happened that Hewitt is better than Fed thread. I wanted to take a look and it vanished.

There is preliminary information that points to the end of the year of the wookie as being Jan. 26.

Sup, I don't think HW is coming for anymore Thursdays...that's why we celebrated his 'bday' at Dogfish that one night.

Safin does a lot of things in twos...two handed backhand, two black eyes...

jajaja, that's not a nice thing to say! I'm saddened to hear that this will probably be his last year. Whose fanboy am I going to be when he retires?!

Haha, at the 6.5 rating. 4 1/8, how the hell do people use rackets with such a small grip? That's the size of a baby's hand.

Someone snipe-bid a Ti Rad oversize for me on the bay, I suck at bidding.

  18. TOP/SUP can someone send me the group picture of our winning team from Santa bowl?
was it S&H camera or a team member's camera???

It looks similar to an RD Tour, but isn't Mr. High Horse supposed to be a one racquet guy? :)

I can't recall ever feeling cheated like I did that day, and each of the teams did it. (Not just the last one at 2-1 in the final set 9 point tie break)

Have already contacted that seller. Had his frames for over a year, just doesn't get out to play enough, and wants to switch to a more forgiving tweener oversize. Seem in good condition though, but I bet they are more like the Prestige Pro from the Santa Bowl, and less like the mis-strung Pure Storm you were rocking at Turkey bowl.

I'd demo it if someone had it, but I don't have much of a desire... not sure why.

Now this gets me a little excited! I wish I could find yellow/blue donnays new. If I could, I would never bore anyone with racquet change/demo talk again. Hopefully full Big Ace in my Donnay will just shut me up forever. Thursday there shall be answers...

  26. oz... i've always had a "thing" for the yonex 90s but not really the game for them. but now that it is 93.. and i am using 95... it just gets me thinking again. they also look perty. doh!

prolly won't come out til Feb, so I've got a few months to keep practicing those kickerzzzzzzzz with my RQISTour1l

Now that I have recovered from the fumes of painting my office today.... did I mention that my partner hit me in the head with a racket yesterday? I was my fault really.

Don't know WTF happened, I hit a ground stroke and slipped and dropped my racket. The other team hit the ball right back at me. Me being on the ground and knowing the point was over decided to head the ball for laughs, little did a I know my partner (Topaz - I played with JJ) was behind me lining up a forehand.

Thank god she was trying for a lob. I got smacked, but I have a hard head and it didn't hurt too bad.

Oh, she also pointed out that I had my shirt on inside out to the other team.... thanks partner..... ;)

    YOTW is OVAH!!!!!!!

Ok, so my big sis sent me an appletini cocktail kit, and I can't get it open.

    *sigh*

Oh oh! Just got it...though it appears to just be four bottles of vodka. Hunh. No JRK, you can't have any. Thank goodness it isn't lemon drops.

morning TWMAC. woke up early. and i'm at work early. ugh.

topaz - bring that vodka to our next meet. we should all do shots every 15 minutes and play king of the court. i'd be curious to see who's the best at playing inebriated. i'd place money on Sup, JRK and Vitaly.

i like this return of the prince graphite. wonder how it plays. this might be the racquet that brings me back to the prince lineup. used to play with prince all through juniors and high school.

Yup, it was a typo. I meant JRS instead of HW.

    So again the line up:

JRS, TheJRK, Auzzie, Vitaly for this Thursday.

    See you then.

Saddest news of my life: that seller already had a buyer for the yellow/blue Donnay. It HAD to be the one day that I was making a concerted effort not to waste time online, and running errands all day, that a glorious post like that comes around.:cry:

Prince always seems to get me a little interested, but if it feels like any of their other stuff, then I am definitely not going to like it...except for the O3 Silver. Awesome stick!

I would have to say that those three may be the top three liquored up performers. I would rank as follows:
    1) Sup
    2) Vitaly
    3) JRK
    Last) Me

I have a feeling Sup plays inebriated more than any of us realize :). Vitaly seems to summon some sort of inner strength after a couple drinks. And does JRK need to stand up straight to serve aces, df's? I used to play inebriated all the time for high school matches, but now I just can't do it. It makes me happy and nice, when I need to be cutthroat.

The sauce may what Vitaly needs to work perfectly with his ltwist wristed serving motion.

Ala Lamar Latrell's limp wristed throwing motion.

    LOL...hahahahah...

HW... that post was pretty darn funny.

P.S. Thanks Auzzie for what I suppose is a tennis skill compliment, which I believe is rare. Alcohol helps me forget about the war.

Damn those frames bring me back. I played w/ the Graphite Comp, then the Spectrum, then Graphite (mid), then a stint w/ the Donnay Pro 1, then back to Prince w/ the CTS Blast, which was a non-dampened version of the CTS Synergy. The CTS Blast was last used in '91. I haven't been back to Prince since...

Vitaly, Auzzie, Shcmad, PP or whoever else has time off today.

I'm trying out some tennis video software and need some test subjects.

12-2pm at Skyline. light warm up then video session.

P.S. Shcmad confirmed... he better not show up with black eyes and bruises. Or I'm sending fanboy home.

If you really need another person, I'll show up. But if Vitally or someone else is gonna show, then I'll just hang at work.
