No... now I'm starting to wonder where the hell it is. Normally TW sends an email saying that they received the returned items but I haven't even got that yet.

If I don't hear from them this week, I'll send an email.

You know what did come though? <looks at auzzie>

The demo rackets, yippeee!!! Just swinging them around in my condo I rate them as:

    1. Fischer M Pro Number One 105
    2. Wilson KBlade Team
    3. Wilson K95 Team

I shall bring them on Thursday and pwn Vitaly with his MG Extreme!

    Mhwu-hahahahaa!!!

  3. my order is in limbo too... sniff.
musta been a lot of tennis orders after Nadal and Fed played. i think TW and others are behind schedule.

Oh yeah, I never thought about that.

Nadal wins the AO -> Everyone orders the Nadal outfit -> TheJRK sends back the Nadal outfit (too small) -> TW runs out of Nadal outfit -> TheJRK's order is delayed -> cry

Well, at least they got the stuff. Looks like you won't see the Nadal scuba suit for a while though. Next time I come to a clinic (besides this Thursday) I'll have Mrs. TheJRK with me and the scuba suit. :)

Maybe he doesn't want to be Michael Chang (http://www.slate.com/id/2194929/) ... LOL...

With a name like Meyer, maybe more like Borris Becker ;)

Whoever wrote this piece suffers from a great many things besides tennis envy. While I always thought Andre was the best player of his era (even more so than Pete Almighty), there was no shame in Chang's game and his ability to milk every bit of effort from the gifts he had. Not everyone can win 14 slam tournaments, you know.

Glad your game is improving, even with grad school and familial duties. We'll hook up when my knee gets strong enough.

True, Chang was incredible. I think the writer meant to be funny and fell way short.

Yeah. think my game has gotten better overall, but I lost a little of the swagger I had a few months ago.

Look forward to playing again. I have to improve on my last score of 21 against you.

As for grad school, nearly had a heart attack finishing my lab on PKI encryption tonight... which is due tomorrow. I was sweating bullets.

Sounds like a nice little Saturday we could have going, assuming the car doesn't need too much work done. You could be out of there in like 30 min :).I guess we could either play it by ear in the morning or just try for the afternoon to be safe...

    *Yawn* What's up TWMAC peeps?

Haha, now it all makes sense. I saw that dude and he was driving an old pick-up truck. Definitely, not a BAH employee.

Well video sessions take 1 hour and it goes by quick. So up to you guys.

I suggest maybe I video your 21 hitting session at the end.

Maybe tonight so we can see Vitaly yell at the Heater units.

p.s. Vitaly, they changed the filters on the heating units. I think that may help.

Time to show peeps what a wookie and a plastic man can do with combined powers!

<imagines a really stretchy wookie, with long arms and legs, wearing tennis shorts>

    Uhhh, nevermind.

how do you know they were cheering for safin

  28. cuz they were sitting in his player box and wearing passes he gave them after he b*ng*d them the night before...

from various articles on the web...
But there was no sign of Moscow model Katja Bestojeva, 22, who gained almost as much television exposure as Safin last January as she sat with two other blonde members of the Russian's "family."
    ------
Bestojeva sat in tight-fitting clothing at Melbourne Park along with Safin's three coaches and two more blonde supporters, Russian student Anna Gorski and Melbourne sales executive Di Vekoso.
"Marat never has difficulty finding female supporters," a tour insider said. "His little black book would be pretty impressive."
Safin's coaching retinue and female supporters have been a cause of wonderment since he gained extra popularity with his 2000 US Open win.

    ----
The glammed-up regulars in his supporter
box included two Melbourne girls he met at a trendy restaurant and a
    Moscow model, Katya Bestojeva, 21.
Anna Gorski, 22, a one-time Muscovite model studying marketing at
Melbourne's Monash University, who had met Safin on the practice court
during the open, had this exchange with journalists:
Gorski: "We met here and got along well and just hang out. We've been
seeing Melbourne a bit, but it is not very exciting."
Reporter: "What? Safin had three blondes in tow all week and you didn't
    have a good time?"
Gorski: "Oh, he had a good time. I am sure he had a very good time."

    ----
marat has also denied they were with him and said they were not his type.
    (he is funny too!)

evening TWMAC. unlike his old man, TFM junior didn't mcbail. delivery started at 3:05pm tuesday and 20 minutes later we had a very healthy baby boy. 8 pounds 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long. mom and baby are doing well and we all got home this afternoon.

sadly i am not sure how much tennis i'll be playing in the next few weeks. but fortunately i'll still be around to give everyone grief, backhanded compliments, possibly mcbail a few times and complain about the lack of racquets in my bag.

if it doesn't make the guys violently sick i'll post a few pics tomorrow.

  31. yay. congrats. big boy!

    baby has a mom.
the dad is supposed to play tennis and drink beer and bring home mcDonalds and diapers.
see you this weekend on the courts.
she will understand. i am sure.

vitaly -- the mcdonalds is likely why i'm in this mess with too many kids. but i've already been told that i'm such a nuisance that i will be asked to leave the house and play tennis and drink beer very often. my plan worked perfectly.

somebody set up our next TWMAC meet. it's been too many moons.

  33. sorry to bailer on the DFH after clinic.
my ankle gets wrecked every week during the clinic and i needed to wrap it up asap... and also that 21 at the end always makes me mad cuz i blow so many easy shots and i can't use my right leg cuz my ankle and i shank the ball all over the place.... aaaaargh. sorry for my mcEnroe like tantrums every week.

the ankle limits my ability to hit forehands, serve, play basketball, climb up steps, jazzercise, moonwalk, everything...

    p.s. - i think, after reading this
    http://www.aafp.org/afp/20020901/785.html
my ankle (talar dome) has had a medial fracture for 4 years!
at some point i need to try a boot out for 4-6 weeks (now would probably be the best time). i guess i need to get in for an MRI cuz the xrays i had a long time ago didn't show anything but it has killed me ever since.
sigh... more beer i guess. :(

edit: i wonder if a wearing a night splint 23 hours a day would be almost as good as a cast... hrmmmm

I want to see pics!!! :) Yay for Baby Boy TFM!

Have you thought about wearing a brace while you play? I had no idea you had this going on?

    DON'T YOU WEAR NIKE SHOES?!?

    ***************

You missed an interesting night! Tonight was...the Night the Lights Went Out at Dogfish!

And, blocks were dark...pretty much until you got closer to Skyline. Cops were blocking off the left turn onto Glencarlyn...isn't that over near you Vitaly? What happened over there?

  35. my lights have been on.

yah, maybe a brace could help.. after i had a cast or walking boot. the pain has really started to pizz me off. i should have gone back to the dr years ago, but my health insurance and DRs office is so bad. you have to bleed for xray and cut off a body part to get an mri.

i'm gonna buy a night splint and wear it as often as possible and then if that doesn't work i might have to get a friggin cast. sigh.... <glug glug>

Hmmmm.... nice way to win 2 out of 3 games of 21 on that ankle. ;) of course JRK helped too.

    Congrats TFM!!!!

  37. i swear we played 4 sets of 21! hrmmmm

i can always use the "broken ankle excuse" every time i get crushed by krappe acta players this summer.

What makes you think that you fractured it and need a cast/mri? I don't know if you are just kidding, but putting a night cast on when you don't need it will weaken your joint.
