street fighter moves are tough dude.

it either a quater circle one way and a button.
one direction for 2 seconds other direction and a button
tap forward or backwars then a quater circle and a button
    half circle and a button
or full circle and a button
Oh and tap a button very fast repeatedly.

How is that game btw? wasd contemplating on purchasing, but may go with GTAIV and the new DL Pack for 360.

asians get a free quarter circle.. that's why they ruled the arcades when the first gen street fighter was unleashed along with killer instinct

    anyhow, the game looks deep..
    http://video.google.com/videosearch...sa=X&oi=video_result_group&resnum=7&ct=title#

however some 12yr old has already sent me home crying after getting a beat down about 5yrs back and my *** is still sore

p.s.s quake live is very good especially considering it's web based. the physics engine must be ~ 100k.. <-- efficient
i'm going to buy some of their stocks.

    ^^
not really on the stocks. the wookie pretty much single handedly took care of that endeavor of mine with 2008

Killer Instinct man that brings back memories. I remeber when I got the 38 hit combo with TJ COmbo and got my name up on the machine at all the arcades. It was me and one other dude that could bust the 38 hitter.

The rumor is that Rare is making Killer Instinct 3.

Saw the Quake beta, but haven't had a chance to play.

BTW- the Xbox 360 D-pads are horrible (not the analog sticks). Someone had to mod his uding PS3 parts to get true diangonals - http://kotaku.com/5123013/modder-building-a-better-d+pad

JRK if you have SF4 - you have to buy a SF game pad, the normal xbox controls just don't cut it.

I remember Killer Instinct -fun game. I was never very good at street fighter, even though I think I wasted all my allowance on that machine for about a year. I was a bit better at Tekken.

The JRK rocks a PS3 if I recall so he should be fine with D-Pad stuff. And yes the 360 D-Pad blows hard.

And because MS wont let thrid party companies develop hardware it makes it tough for companies to make stuff for it. I would have to pay 100 bucks for an adapter to use my X-Arcade stick on my 360, and I simply dont play enough to justify that expense. But man the X Arcade is perfect for that type of stuff.

TFM: Apparently, one of the web devs here is a former D1 tennis player. We may have to try to get him out on the courts (fat chance).

H-Dub: Wow! That X-Arcade stick is sweet!

BTW- maybe Ms is letting 3rd parties develop hardware? I saw cheapy, gamestop brand xbox 360 controlers for $20. May have to pick one of those up for guest use.

With the X-arcade you buy adapters to worfk with the other systems. And they say for whatever reason MS wont let them develop a 360 adapter. You have to buy some other adapter for 80 bucks or something like that. If I played 360 enough it would be worth it for the XBLA games. And if they release Killer Instint on XBox live they they have said they may happen. then ill probably rock the adapter to use the stick.

    Flank muscle????

For a muscle pull, ice it and rest it up. If it's a bad muscle pull, it may take a feww weeks to be 100%.

In the words of master P:

    Uhhhhhhhhhhh! It ain't my fault.

I have PS3, 360, and the Wii but I bought Street Fighter IV for the 360 since most of my friends have that system.

I've actually gotten used to the analog stick, but yes the d-pad sucks on the 360. I still might pick up one of those arcade sticks though, pretty sweet.

BTW... All MAC members, I need your email addresses so I can send out an e-vite for the party I'm throwing. Please provide them ASAP. :)

JRstreaker -- you tell that dev that i'm ex-division IV tennis player. i had a promising career til i got drafted and did a couple of months in nam. never did find charlie.

JRK -- you gotta have a streetfighter iv tournament.

hollywood -- much as i love your tecnifibres - not sure i wanna go tfight 325. i am considering the newer tfight 320 vo2 tampon to the maxipad OB-GYN specials. sounds like my old sticks but with more spin and pop, same amount of control and just a bit less feel and emotions.

i like the x gaming one better than the one tfm posted. is sf 4 still using the classic jab, strong, fierce and short, forward, and roundhouse? the last one i played was marvel vs capcom 2 and they changed the button format which was terrible so i quit fighting games after that.

Thats just a good deal on those puppies. They still sell for 70-80 a piece and you would be getting 2 for 75. Thats a better deal than the McEnroe's

I never hit with the old 320 so I cant directly compare the old 2 the new. but the new 325 compare to my old 325 were like night and day. the new ones had more pop than the old ones, but felt noticbly stiffer to me which I didnt like. and they had alot more vibration than my olds. But the Paint one those guys are sweet. so give them a shot maybe they will be be all that you wish for and themsome.

JRK add me to you 360 friends my name on XBL is hollywood9826

and if you go at Hotmail you can email me as well

I'll add both of you guys to my friends list on Xbox. Last night I unlocked Sakura and Fei Long. I guess you have to beat the game with certain characters in order to unlock additional characters.

The last boss is pretty diesel... it took me like 10 tries to beat him with Ryu.

Thats because Ken is better the Ryu. Akuma owns both though. Although in my prime I was deadly with SAGAT. I could take Sagat and concquer the whole game on one play. Sagat is the man.

    TheJrk,

I sent you an email via TW board. Seems like you better half's email was bouncing back. I sent you the error message.

P.S. Party at TheJrk's. Should I bring poker money?

    *Newsflash*

This may come as a shock to some of you.. but the economy is going to take a big hit in our area. No.. not the financial market.. but the local bar business.

As of 12:00am this morning. Sup has given up alcohol for Lent. I've warned my local tavern and area bars to avoid Police visits to see if I'm okay.

Other things Sup has given up: Pirate inquisitions

PPL and Topaz, while having drinks at dogfish have also given up things for lent. I will let them tell you what they gave up.

Things Sup thinks should be given up by TWMAC members for lent:

    TFM - mooching
    Sap - cafeteria food
JRS - any place that serves waffles
    TheJRK - random purchases
PurePrestige - applying lead tape to anything and mayo
Auzzie - racquet purchases or demos
Vitaly - any online sales or auctions ******
    Drakulie - cursing
    Shcmad - Safin/Gulbis

As for the party... you could bring poker money, a lot of my friends are poker nuts though and if you mention the word, you'll likely incite a riot.

mooching?! ppl are always happy to let me play with their sticks. although they likely don't like the fuzz between the strings and my sweaty hands moisturizing their grips though. :(

thought just occurred to me -- if Schmad borrows someone's racquet -- will they have to readjust their strings at all? figure you kinda need some spin or the strings won't move.

sappy you should give up this thing called "lunch" for lent.

    What about the haircuts?

    *dirty look at Sup*

#1 - my soapbox (not my idea)
#2 - going to bed too late (my idea)
#3 - sweets (totally not my idea)

Anybody want to buy my girl scout cookies off of me?

I'm pretty sure #3 would never have been agreed to if it weren't for that 3rd glass of wine!

There was something about a tattoo in there, too, but it is dependent on Sup's new piercing.

    This is good...would only add...

JRS - Xbox all night before a mixed match
    TFM - macbailing
Vitaly (and all his cousins) - beating up the A/C unit at Skyline
    Magma - *lurking*!!! ;)

Xisbum - you should give up not posting very much, we miss you!

    OK, PPL, YOUR TURN!!!!

huh? i don't have any recollection of this... :p

but... hypothetically lets say i did and one of the things that i had to give up was not to play any video games after 10pm. so that means no video games from 10pm - 12am right? at 12:01am, i'm good to go right?

Watching a replay of last week's Rotterdam final, and some of life's inexplicable riddles flashed through my old head:

If a word in the dictionary is mispelled, how would we know?

    What's the speed of dark?

If you're going to shoot a mime, would you use a silencer?

How can The Flying Scot Raggedy Andy figure out how to beat Nadal when the best tennis player I've ever seen can't?

    Hmmmmmm.

    1. Play Nadal when he's "injured."
    2. Use a two-handed backhand.
    3. Refuse to poop your pants in the 5th set.

PPL, you may not remember.. you know with all the beer spilling... on appetizers, the waitress, yourself... but the condition was: No video games when the sun isn't burning bright in the sky (conditional to 10pm to sun up).

So my vampire friend. You best get playing before the 10th hour appears.

You know xisbum. I actually edited you and a couple members out. Tried to keep it happy.

But if you must know. I figured with your knee aches and your "free lovin ways" that you should give up: Xisbum - not passing the dutchie to the left hand side.

    My answers:

1-If a word in the dictionary is mispelled, how would we know?
1 - Answer: Zapvor is using it correctly

    2-What's the speed of dark?
2- Answer: The same answer to "how much topspin does Shcmad generate = zero

3-If you're going to shoot a mime, would you use a silencer?
3- Answer: Yes or anything Sappy cooked. Both tend to produce "silent but deadly" results.

4 -How can The Flying Scot Raggedy Andy figure out how to beat Nadal when the best tennis player I've ever seen can't?
4- Answer: Both knew each other in juniors me thinks. Oh and Murray hits it flat, like another player who gave Nadal problems (Blake).

Congrats on your lenten goals, Sup. You can do it!

I myself, may be in danger of attaining my lenten goal and refraining from racquet purchases and demoes (I know you all are thinking this is BS), but I had an extremely pleasurable hit with the Gamma's today. EXTREMELY pleasurable. The frame plays amazing (lowest powered frame I have hit with), looks amazing (white on white). Now just need to test out serves, compete with it, and find a good setup...
