Tennis at 1pm, Wake sounds good. Hopefully my arm doesn't bother me.

    -------------------------------------------------

For anyone I missed or just ignored my original post (like sappy):

On Saturday, party at my place 7:30pm. There's gonna be so much alcohol you wouldn't be able to swing a dead cat around without hitting a beer/whiskey/vodka/rum/gin/lillet/campari/wine/tequila/scotch/SoCo/triplesec/cointreau/etc bottle. :)

DVI - good posts. I have some comments too, but don't have time right now.

BTW- I didn't have a come back for your last schlongstroker post, so I had to come back with the pink stickers on the lady tennis bag. LOL

BTW2- I stood inside the baseline on JRK's serve becasue sometimes I'm able to block it before it gets away from me when he serves wide. And it makes him think WTF?!?!?

So are peeps watching Davis Cup right now????

I'd love to play tomorrow, but risking losing business by closing shop is not an option.

I guess I am stuck destroying the craigslist competition, because I always seem to be able to find someone willing to play around my schedule.

thought you guys might like seeing this. found these old videos i had posted up from our TW MAC meet from probably February 2008.

the first video is the formidable duo of Sup2dresq and PurePrestige versus the equally formidable duo of Nitefly and Sapient. i don't even know how this matchup was deemed fair. and if memory serves me right - Nitefly and Sappy didn't even have any handicap points. muahahahahaa. Nitefly has since picked up a 1 hander backhand and improved quite a bit. Sappy is pretty much the same only he's got a busted calf courtesy of the TFM. yee haw.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc2fQiefhBo

second vid is Shintan and Shcmad versus Topaz and McLovin. i won't even comment on the amounts of topspin - the proof is in the video.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRDY6vTQ1ak

third vid is Sup/PP versus Topeezy/McLovin. i haven't seen Mclovin hit since this meet but our Topaz has definitely improved in all areas since this video. what a difference a year and a new racquet makes.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ynB4BlQgOA

last video is the pairing of TFM and JRstreaker in full on wookie mode versus McSpaz. JRstreaker has definitely improved by leaps and bounds since this video almost exactly a year ago. i had finally gotten over macho grande and now seeing this video and our subsequent loss is like reopening old wounds. *shakes fist at Topaz and McLovin* i'll have my revenge. in this world or the next.

holy smokes, that WORST TENNIS SHOTS of the WEEK is a hilarious video.
if i didn't occasionally blast a hole in the S&H ceiling, i would really mock some of those shots!

i totally had sup on the ropes. watch as how he double faulted to my victory in the first 30secs. my returns are that intimating

p.s i'm holding up a finger for you tfm. care to guess which one?

p.s.s ive enjoyed reading tfm's post stoking everyone's ego. are you looking to join voltron style with team schlongstrokers forming the mcbailingschlongstrokers? JRK forms the arms, head and chest. JRS forms both legs and the crotch. tfm joins the party forming the nut sac

JRK, thanks for the invite to the party. Unfortunately, I've got some commitments for tomorrow, so I probably can't make it. But, I'll make sure PP drinks for me too. Great to see that you have your wife back with you.

Hahaha, good stuff and TFM, thank you very much!

If I remember correctly, el Jefe was on zero sleep for that meet. Still, I love playing back that drop volley I got him...over and over and over again!

    McLovin! Where are you?

Hey guys, as it turns out I can't make it to the tennis this afternoon. Or as far as it looks right now I am gonna be missing out on the tennis. I am very disappointed, I wanted to play with the MAC'ers this afternoon.
I'll try my best to make it, but with a current development I am not sure.

Couldn't make the meet or the party, but I did have a rescheduled league match at 8 fricking am this morning.

I don't know if it was just the time of day, or the fact that I got there late and didn't warm up as much as I would like. But I felt like I played like crap. I won 6-1, 6-3, but it felt ALOT closer than that.

Serve was gone, backhand was gone, couldn't finish mid court balls. Ugh. It was mostly a lot of slice and running. Plus the other guy kept hitting DTL and couldn't make that shot. Second set was ugly. Kept trading service breaks. Dude's picking on my backhand. I'm just slicing because that's the only thing that's working. At 4-3 on my serve, I'm like F-this and go serve and volley. I made one volley that game, but he missed all the rest of his returns. In the final game I finally found a way to hit a few aggressive forehands to finish it out.

Glad the guy said that his daughter took his Babolats, so he was forced to play with a back-up Wilson Racket.

Looking forward to the meet/JKR party update today.

It was two days of no sleep and doing corporate forms submissions. I wasn't suppose to play at all, but zap mcbailed without notice. Only to show up the last twenty minutes.

    I was totally drained.

Also, was your drop shot the one where I hit a ball toward you at the nef? the fetal position, closed eyes, racquet in front for protection and yelp one? that was pretty funny.

    you sure got me there.lol.

And so it came to pass...the first WHS TWMAC mini-meet was held today!

It started off with us frantically grabbing one court...and then eventually taking over three of the seven! Muwhahaha!

    Highlights included:

*Seriously, not three minutes after we start hitting on the court, a SOCCER BALL lands right around the service line. Ahhhhh, Wakefield!
*If you need someone to keep an eye on available courts and jump on it...Skunk's your gal. Must be why she wore her running shoes instead of her tennis shoes today!
*Eventually, we had F1 (welcome back), DVI, and Skunk on one court; TFM and JRK on one court (TFM sporting his new sticks and a nephew and his manhood still intact so far); and ShcMad and I on another court.
*Then TFM left (as he really only came to get his new sticks, but hey...shows dedication...the man drove far to once again wield his own racquets!), so DVI came over and hit with ShcMad, JRK and I hit, and F1 got run ragged by Skunk.
*Then F1 tapped out, so Skunk and ShcMad formed team SchSkunk and DVI and I formed DatsTopaz to play some doubles. We didn't get to finish, and team DatsTopaz got broken to leave it at 2-3 when we stopped.
*The team of DatsTopaz could be formidable, if only one of us could volley and the other could serve. I'll let you all figure out who is who!

ShcMad had enough foresight to bring a camera, so we did get a group shot (minus TFM and F1) at the end. He'll be posting them later.

    Ahhhh, Wakefield!

Thanks for coming out guys, it was fun! Let's hope we are blessed with more and more warm weather!

-It's nice to be back at home and playing tennis with some great folks!

-Oh, and one thing: I'm never going back to Wakefield again. Wakefield is to me like Wimbledon is to Marat. That place is a joke. It's a circus.

-Skunk, it was nice to meet you.......for the second time (I think we met one time at Wakefield last year). You were a good doubles partner.

-The highlight of the day came when Viktorr purposely whacked a flat 115mph serve to some dudes walking right behind us while we were in the middle of a set. I don't know if you could hear it from that far away, Viktorr, but one of them whispered "Take it easy, man." I laughed a bit inside cuz they deserved it.

-Sup! We all missed you! Why didn't you say hi to fanboy when you dropped TFM's racquets?

great pics. i don't know which is more amusing -- the one where DVI has his arms around Schmad or the one where Schmad has his arms around DVI. it's all very conjugal if you ask me. good stuff. you guys should play doubles with schlongstrokers. if i knew you guys were gonna take pics - i would've given my nephew a 40 ounce malt liquor and stayed out longer. oh yeah -- bonus points to Topaz who nailed my 4 year old nephew with a backhand bullet. just missed his head and hit him in the foot i think. muahahahaaha. i have visions of bringing him home bloodied or lame and his mother giving me my vasectomy early.

thanks to Sup for the sticks and to JRK for putting up with TFM McLongShanks in warmups. i think i hit a ton of balls out and off the frame and about 20 feet too long. but on the plus side JRK got to practice the really useful baseline volley. in matches that's really important. the sticks came in individual velvet sacks. kinda like bottles of crown royal. i'm pretty pleased. i was told the sticks have more spin and more pop than my old TF320s. and for once - they are as advertised. more pop and more spin than my old sticks. i likes em but will take a while to get used to. i was able to hit one twist serve and it looked somewhat decent. yay. no more TFM McMoocher.

also to JRK and Mrs. The JRK -- have a great party tonight and thanks for the invite. one of these days i'd like to see casa de JRK and play some streetfighter 4. :)

Hey, Dats looks very much like his much younger cousin, Vitaly. And he wins the coolest shoes contest by a mile - only because Auzzie isn't there with his awesome ASICS! :)

p.s. Lady Topaz, when are you getting your new ASICS? Get the ones with color, cuz they stand out more. ;-)

Haha, I tried sending you a friend request on Xbox but it said "name not found" what is your gamertag?

Also, that was a nice twist serve. I was thinking "He's not gonna be able to twist it with that new racket," so I start moving to my right and it kicks left and almost hits me in my face!

    1) skunk is REALLY good. she was returning all of my shots, without any problems. i would throw in a short ball, and she ran up to them and easily slapped them into open space. these were not easy shots, they were below the net and she was on the run.. but she made it look easy. and i kept trying to hit my high bouncing forehand to her forehand and she really wasn't bothered by that either.
    2) shcmad has gotten good too. sure he doesn't have much net clearance, but if it comes over, it is coming at 100mph and you don't have much time to react. trying to keep up with him power-wise was tough. and then when we started playing points, he employed a frustrating sequence of dropshots and lobs that almost blew out my knee. oh and then he got to poach on a lot of topaz returns in doubles and drill them at us. i was totally impressed with his game. (of course, he will deflect all of this praise, but his game was solid!)
    3) wakefield is a nightmare, kids stole my ball from the other side of the FENCE and I had to yell at them to get it back. I had to watch them out of the corner of my eye constantly. plus the soccer balls bashing into the fence, the people walking through our courts to find a shortcut to the soccer field, the rude people that wouldn't help when a ball went on their court, the thieves that when we said we had a US Open ball gave us a used Dunlop in return, etc... AARGH So when those people walked a full 7 courts behind people, i was like "ehh, why not" and blasted one down the middle and popped some dude. I didn't know he said something back.. I prolly woulda smacked another! I am actually surprised my serves didn't go in the net given my horrible serve performance today. I've GOTTA figure that out again quick! I have no idea where my spin serve went (except into the net and long) :(
My legs are killing me now... that concrete can take it outta you. oooof.
good times TWMAC! thanks F1/Skunk/ShcMad/Top/JRK/TFM/SUP for coming out.

Great pic. Anyone notice how it goes from tan to "no tan".

Also, Dats.. is that a ball in your pocket, or were you really really happy about something?

Shcmad.. I couldn't stay. I had an appt across town. I wouldn't of stopped by, but TFM seemed more than anxious to get his new sticks. I hope he likes them.

Was thinking of a proper meet this coming saturday. However, it all depends on the weather cooperating. So we'll play it by ear.

P.S. Kudos for PPL calling me from Mcdonalds to see if soup counts as fast food. I'm still chuckling.

*Attention TWMACers: Sup will be out of town the end of this month. He is heading south to Castle Drakulie. However upon my return, I think we should get a TWMAC bbq event going.

    I suggest Saturday April 18th.

Dats, thanks for all the praise. I feel as if I don't deserve it. I was scared for my life when I was up at the net, especially after you blasted that serve right at the body of that classless dude. To Skunk's credit, she picked up almost all of your hard-hit returns. I was really surprised.

Sup and Sapient, lay off the homosexual jokes, you infantile. The only guy who needs to come out the closet is PP (Maybe TFM and Sappy too).

Sup, well it's a shame we couldn't get to hit with you. But, it's ok. Seeing TFM made my day as I was not expecting him to show up. LOL.

upon further investigation, it may seem that JRK's hand might of been on vitor's right shoulder. schmad very possibly went for an *** grab causing vitor's gluteus maximus to tighten resulting in him doing "right said fred" pose for the camera

But you gotta watch when you just roll up outta nowhere and ask something like that around this bunch. There at least 4 of us that instanly would be thinking of what Glen Quagmire Would say.

TheJRK knows how to throw a party, that is for sure for sure.
It was quite an interesting night, introduced to new drinks, some new favorites for sure. And some serious quality liquor.
Nitefly showed me what's what in pool, and interesting game. And I got to talk with some TWMAC related peeps that were quite fun to talk to :)

JRK, your neighbor is really cute, how old is she? :-O

Thanks to all the MACers that made it out to the party! :)

PP was a drinking champ. He was pretty much downing whatever I was making, and these were some stiff drinks. Whiskey (bourbon) mixed with tequila was the last drink we made I believe.

My neighbor is younger than me, she is maybe 24-25.

JRK, thanks for having us! :)

BTW, Running Warehouse sells those foam rollers we were talking about yesterday...on their injury prevention page here.

At only $14, I think it will pass the 'frivolous' spending test! ;)

Also...PPL, I was very proud to hear how you stared down temptation in the face yesterday! Stay strong! Less than a month to go!

I was curious...have you felt any different since cutting out soda? Noticed any changes?

Just trying to work them into the budget...but I've pretty much decided on them as my next shoe.

*is that the sound of Sup weeping in joy?*
