same kind of picture.. but the angle doesn't make it look quite as hulk-ish

he is just in great shape for a 150lb guy... 6% bodyfat and hitting the weights to be able to play a long season as a grinder.
but in normal clothes and not hitting the ball he looks scrawny.

Sup - Thanks for setting up the mini-MAC meet this morning. Once I sweated all the alcohol out of me I felt pretty good. Thanks to Topaz, PPL, and Shcmad for coming out to hit as well... we had some pretty fun doubles matches with a lot of funny moments.

Thanks for stringing my racket with that new pattern too Sup. It feels like the strings pocket the ball a lot more which helps me keep the ball in play. Even on mis-hits my shots still went in and with some pace still on them. At first I had to adjust my swing. I tend to brush-up on the ball too much and those strings weren't working with that stroke... but after I started hitting through the ball they felt awesome. It was like I was using a lacrosse stick and I could just pocket the ball and aim it somewhere. It helped my serve too since I was able to put a lot more spin on the ball.

JRK and PPL, sorry you folks got stuck with the headcase double-faulting machine called the Sickmad.

Topaz, I think I should have put the camera on Program Auto mode instead of the Auto Adjustment. That way, the camera would have automatically controlled the shutter speed and aperture depending on the situation. I think the action shots would have come out less blurry.

Chipmunks are fast and by disney accounts pretty happy characters. However we cant have you super happy all the time. You need a bit of a mean streak on the court.

TWMAC doubles round robin

Okay guys,

I have a lesson break this Saturday from 10AM-12AM at Skyline. I can reserve 2 courts for a tennis meet.

I figure $30 bucks per person can cover the court costs, and I will arrange a doubles round robin. I will even video tape some of the matches and post.

Just like old times, except at a new brighter place.

So I need a quick headcount for those who can make it. I would love around 10 people to keep things going and give some a rest.

Afterwards you guys can go to Dogfish for crab soup (you hear that TheJRK?)

Recovering from an late night, due to a dunder-headed group member on my class project who didn't come through with her assignment. Claimed she counld't figure it out. It took 30 minutes to figure it out and about 3 hours to complete - the Prof gave us examples in a Power Point presentation!!!!!!! Assignment's due today so I had to create the missing piece (GRRRRRRRRR!!!!)

I have a rematch with the guy who beat me last week. Should be fun and tiring. Hope I can get a nap in pre-match. Wish me luck.

xisbum -- i think you were teaching me the secrets of how to hit a lethal serve. i needed to see the technique up close. and yes we made a good team. i believe we gave team skunkytoes all they could handle. although i think skunky was injured with some turf toe or something like that. and topaz was hampered by her old granny sticks. i'll be your wingman anyday.

Team Tennis Event Skyline Friday March 20th 6pm

Skyline is hosting another team tennis event. Different set up than last time. We will have 1 Mens Doubles, 1 Womens Doubles, 2 Mixed Doubles.

Let me know ASAP if you are interested. TWMAC is defending Santa Bowl, Turkey Bowl and Toilet Bowl champions. Well maybe not the last one.

Where: Skyline
When: March 20th, 6pm (30 minute warm up)
Format: 1 MD, 1 WD, 2XD (X = mixed)
Cost: $200 per team. @$ 25 per person.

Note: 40 minute time limit on matchplay.

Should be fun and its a great warm up event for the upcoming USTA season.
