You were hitting some bombs yesterday. I think you had a couple aces as well as those serves which I framed backwards into parking lot (which was behind the kiddies playground). But when we do our real match, no First Ball In for every other game ;) With all the wind yesterday, it was hard to go for shots. The wind always seemed to be gusting in different directions. So the slice was working; I just wanted to get the ball back. I also made a point to hit some of those low slices as soon as you switched to the Extreme. HECK NO! am I giving you pace in your strike zone with those spin, power monsters. Maybe Saturday early afternoon we could play our official match...

tell you what. i'll invite you out when i think i have a shot at beating you in a ladder match.

    don't hold your breath.

also i believe the city of bethesda has banned you from coming back. not enough liquor.

oh and come by next week. i want you to look at my forehand again. hit yesterday with wookie and sappy for a bit. did my best to keep my wrist locked on the forehand side.

haha. sounds like my kids. last winter, we cancelled our ski trip at the last minute bc my daughter was complaining that her ears hurt, and the doc said that flying and denver would make her ear infection worse. well, that night my son cries for a few minutes, and then his ear drum actually bursts bc he's had an even worse ear infection. but my son is the one who's going to send me around the bend, when he begins to systematically break every law, "just to see what it's like."

glad your babies are feeling better. good luck over the weekend--all babies seem to decide to get sick on friday nights, after the doctor's office closes!

<---packing for cleveland now for 10 am flight! sup, wanna come too? there are LOTS of bars in cleveland!

alice -- thanks. my rugrats will be just fine. daughter sounded healthy enough to put back on her sleep on her own schedule. she cried for about an hour. lots of snot, sweat and tears. fell asleep at 8pm and woke up at 5am for milk. slept again til 8am.

all you fools without kids. don't have em. go get snipped. otherwise your tennis game will suffer.

    what's for lunch peeps?

today is my day off but i need to get to office to catch up on some of the slack

next day off is 2 weeks from now but i'll be using that for a wedding

xisbum: tfm clearly suggested that having kids is a division rather than a subtraction to your tennis game. (i understand that mathematics might have come much later after when the flintstones beat you in a car race) however, dividing anything by a 0 yields errrrrrorrr on the calculator and sadly that's also where my tennis is at now as well

LOL! Well maybe you should clear you cache, delete all cookies, defrag your hard drive, reboot, take two advils, then call me in the morning. ;)

Anyway, just trying to share my previous tennis engine pain.

Didn't think you'd want to make the trip to play with the scrubs. Feel free to drop by.

Sup - If we meet up Sat it will have to be after 6pm. I'm being dragged to another wedding. Tried to McBail (cause I have a crap load of schoolwork to do) but Mrs. Wookie is not having it. Otherwise, maybe we meet up sunday.

Avoided math classes like the plague, too. And those hillbilly Flintstones never, ever beat me in a car race, when my knee was strong and healthy. Which, of course, it ain't anymore.

Wasn't TFM alluding to diversion and not division? Just askin'.

BTW- I sort of like hitting with the Dunlop AG 300 tour. Good control and feel. I'd need a bigger grip though.

I was thinking of hitting around 6-ish... followed by some beers somewhere. We can play at my courts, Pentagon City, or somewhere else nearby. I really want the tennis to be a prequel to beer drinking. I have to be nice and hungover for kendo practice on Saturday morning... it's a Japanese tradition. ;)

You VA peeps let me know. All I have at my house is a case of Miller Lite that someone brought over Monday night. I don't like drinking $hitty beer by myself.

PPL -- if it's a temporary thing i don't mind you being a racquet mooch. but that's officially MY title. i have a yonex mp tour 1 mp strung up with poly. it's about 12 ounces and 6 pts headlight. very low powered. you probably will hate it. i also have the dunlop aerogel 4d 300 tour demo which i think you would like a lot actually. you are welcome to play with either.

**edit** oh yeah you could also stop by tennis topia on rockville pike. yes they overcharge like mad. but they have demo racquets from all the major brands for $5 a day i think. and if you don't like that place -- there's a place called sport world in wheaton off of georgia avenue and he also has demo racquets. probably $5/day charge as well. sup and i know the owner of the shop and his prices aren't a total rip off. :)

**edit edit** think we're having lunch in rockville in about an hour. email or call me if you have a list of racquets you wanna demo. give me a couple of choices and i'll go rent them for you.

i would not dare to take your title, master mooch. okay lets do it. what time do you want me to meet you guys at the courts?

i probably wont have time to swing by tennis topia. the other thing that gets me about them besides the eye gouging prices is that they close so early. something like 7pm. i do have my original racquet, a head tour xl, but it has 0 tension on it.

the trick is to ship the poo and only bag it when it has arrived in the US. that way you'd be able to market it made in USA grade A poo.. 200% markup for sure

ps. did you find the village in the island 30mins off the coast of chinqua? if so i may need to relocate my bat cave

pss.. do you have a clinic sunday? my serves are flaming poop

that's not even a broken string. my racquets come back from sport authority fresh like that. remind me to tell you how i string 03 racquets now.. 2 pulls and all the mains would be done.. ~sup cringes~

on a side note.. turned out that the wookie is the lone brother eating with a female korean brigade that tfm has secretly trained from shores of north korea. brave man.. take one for the country

JRK, can we have some analysis as to how far the chopstick intergalactic missile will be lodged up the wookie's behind after the meal?

Hey Sup, sorry for the short notice, noon to 2 is perfect for me. PPL is on board, I am still trying to get a hold of Nitefly, but I am pretty sure he will be there also. We can have it at the same place we had the last meet if that is good for you.

Depending on engine burn time, velocity, launch azimuth... I'd say about 3 days.

I have a very good foot-to-mouth avoidance system. Thus I can operate in female korean brigade space without triping launch sensors.

Fuggggggg!!!! I hate my job. There is always some last minute $hiz that pops up and I get stuck here, while the rest of my co-workers just scurry out like f***ing roaches.

When you're a little kid you're taught that getting a good job and making a lot of money will make you happy... nowhere do they say, "oh BTW, you'll probably get screwed more often than not as well."

    PPL Match Reminder

Started playing PPL today. Won first set 6-1, then at 2-1 (30-40???) On PPL's serve, his strings snapped so we have to finish up at another time.

Hacking and coughing, TFM stepped up to finish out the rest of the second match. TFM won it 6-0 - he basically found the big gaping hole in my game and kept going there - very savvy.

PPL - please confirm the score so we can finish up. I'm on travel most of next week, but we can try either Monday or maybe Friday if I come in.
