Sap you can try to convert to AVI and then use movie maker.

AVS Converter seems to work. I have never dealt with MOV before though. And its free.

    http://www.avs4you.com

Also I think quicktime pro will convert and probably just let you straight up edit. but its 30 bucks.

Knee injuries make me cringe, well that and harassing jerk-captain stories. Try a lot of ice, elevation, and start to test out your range of motion. Give me a call for any questions/concerns/opinions.

never play for that team again.

I loves me some electric blue!

I kind of think it may be something else, but you should still get it checked out by an orthopedic surgeon. Regular doctors probably won't tell you much.

Brgr and I didn't play yesterday, but I will definitely play you whenever you like. We don't need 5 sets to register scores on tennisengine though

If you can come to arlington, I can do something. I got Mother's Day stuff I have to do.

dr. Auz, unfortunately it is my MCL. besides the ligament "pop" that i felt, now, if i ignore the pain, i can totally wobble my leg back and forth like it isn't connected on the inside anymore. :(
i have an immobilizing brace on it and i am going to hope it repairs if i keep it locked down. didn't get much sleep last night... couldn't move without hurting it.

you guys have fun playing tennis.. see you in late June hopefully.
from Swine Flu --> Poison Ivy --> torn MCL it appears "year of the cabbage" is not 2009!

they could diagnose an MCL tear that quickly? Shoot, well, what do they want you to do for it? Therapy? Whatever you do, wait until the doctor says ok before playing tennis again. Don't play in an immobilizer like I did...

Sappy - can I get the cliff notes version of the last 5 pages please?
Oh! and scores. Have to have scores.

As for my fun weekend wrap up. After having a fever and a non-stop, blinding headache for about 10 hours straight, went to the emergency ward last night.

Turned out, the headache was mostly caused by a sinus infection. Gave me an antibiotic horse pill and some Tylenol and I was out of there in about 3 hours. Head still hurts a little bit though, but I'm on the road to recovery.

One thing that's great about living near Reston is their emergency ward is NEVER crowded. They had me in a room and with a doctor in about 15 minutes.

Oh Skunk, I wish I could! I had a singles match Friday, then played a few hours yesterday, had clinic this morning...and have another singles match tomorrow. I think I'm 'done' for now...and I'm contemplating a nap! :(

Next weekend, though, I have a DC match on Saturday, but it is only dubs, and at 8am! I *may* have a singles match on Sunday (but unlikely, I think, unless they really are short people), so I could be good for either later on Saturday or Sunday? I could reserve some Wakefield courts maybe?

Let's check back in a few days, ok? I should know by then if I'm scheduled Sunday or not.

New Star Trek = AWESOME! Love all the characters; they pretty much nail the quirks and foibles of the initial cast, except Uhura, who is more assertive and aggressive in ST 09.

Loved Karl Urban as McCoy, my favorite character because he reminds me of - me? Also loved Eric Bana, another of those Australian actors, as the bad guy.

Two thumbs up from his corner. :)

Semis? Are they box tickets? If so, then yes...as a box ticket for the semis is 70, and your price breaks down to 63.75.

It isn't bad, but it isn't great. If you want 'em, get 'em! I would assume it is for a good cause right?

We need to get you in a league!

    *or*

Maybe you should sign up for flexleague?

I did, but I haven't heard anything yet...hope I get my money back if nobody else signs up!

I just woke up, and now I have that afternoon 'nap' after-effect that stays with you for a while. Oh well, the laundry won't care!

ppl, thanks for organizing a lovely day of tennis despite the:
    • swarms of suicidal caterpillars
    • gale force winds
    • abuse of my choice of pizza topping that the majority considered to be morally deviant and unaceptable
nice playing singles with you...let's not ever do that again, ok? it was much more fun to beat you & spry cricket in doubles, since i got to have spry cricket's sandbagging husband as my partner! but then hollywood and i beat spry cricket and mr. spry cricket, bc they were bickering about how he needed to go home and finish his homework.

now i have this urge to go on a walkabout 'round my property...i'll be back in a few days.

Tennis clinic this morning - check
    Mothers Day duty - check
Visit old coworker on way home - check
Drool over his car and hearing how I should get one-check
Wishing I never got in the car - check

To be honest. I really want an old Bronco. Something that I won't get kidnapped over or car jacked.

HW, help me find one. I know they have restoration ones online, but I know nothing about if its a junker or not. I could pay a mechanic, but I'm sure you would enjoy mulling over the truck yourself.

Sup, just promise that if you ever get a Maserati, that you will use it for its intended purpose...to go fast.

I passed one (in my dented and scraped up Mazda3) on the Beltway yesterday...what a crying shame! If you're going to go that slow, get a Yugo!!!

Sappy, I believe you have at least won some games, right? So, that puts you ahead of me. I would win 'last place' right now.

Sup, you should add a 'last place' award...kind of like a 'stinker' award!

    TWMAC camping trip

Any interest in doing a one night camping trip. Fishing, food, tent, stars, drinking... etc. Maybe a Saturday .. return Sunday.

I was thinking near Front Royal. about an hours drive. Or better.. we can camp behind Alice's house. LOL.

    Dats.. bring the puppy
    TFM... bring the older kids
Sappy .. bring REI and the android
PPL .. bring a Mcdonalds happy meal
TheJRK .. bring the misses .. especially since she's a nurse
Xisbum .. bring your special eye medication for your glaucoma (totally kidding)
PP .. introduce us to the other bigfoots in the woods.
HW.. be the keeper of the campfire
JJjosh .. be the keeper of the wood cutting .. an axe bro!

I must insist on just one night for several reasons.

I need to shower, I refuse to go to the bathroom in the woods and three.. 24 hours with you guys is more than enough fun. The front royal spot i know has a canoe rental place about 10 minutes away, a river to fish from, and a shower/bathroom at the canoe place.

The canoe trips are fun. Fishing is boring but i figure some peeps like that stuff. I really go for the liquor, getting back to nature and the large amounts of good food. Like kabobs, rice, alice's cookies or muffins, ...etc.

Right now is a good time. Before it gets way too hot.

    Thanks
    El Jefe

P.S. If we don't feel like roughing it. There is always the opportunity to rent a place in Lake Anna (where the nuclear plant is). water is always warm and I have some connections up there.

    Edit:

A link to horseshoe point, va .. the place I was thinking.

Sup Enterprises has thought about giving out some sportsmanship award. We'll consider it at the next meeting set for Thursday 11:00 at an undisclosed bar.

I would be interested...are the gals allowed? I didn't see any of us on the list!

I've seen Alice's back yard...that would totally work.

And I love canoeing and kayaking...whatever...have done it my whole life, grew up that close to the Delaware. Actually, last time I went kayaking, I was on the ocean! I miss it!

Anyway, would need at least a week's notice.

Ah, that sounds much more 'PC'. 11am or pm? Lol, doesn't matter, either one sucks for me!!!

    Xis...you will have email soon!

    TWMAC wine/beer tasting event

    Anyone and everyone.

I know I just put out the camping trip, but along with that I thought maybe we can have a wine/beer tasting event.

Bring your favorite beer or wine. We pour it for everyone to sample, without letting them know which is which and you judge. I find it humorous (usually at my own expense) that the cheap wine wins most of the time.

Maybe a Friday evening. Again in Alice's backyard. Kidding.

I could host? TFM? Sappy? Dats how about you? You mentioned a happy hour/bbq. Maybe this is perfect for you. Have it all at once. Quick early Friday evening. OR we have it at the camping trip.

I just thought Dats place. This way you can show the TWMAC how your puppy already loves beer.

    See. I wasn't even joking.

I've done the friends, out in the backyard, camping thing. Bathrooms, drinking.. it was the best of times. TFM can unload his kids and sit there and drink in peace. I can talk to Sappy's android.,... and we can end the night with PurePrestiges infamous Frank the tank!

Seriously folks. I think its a grand idea. I will go if Xisbum or TFM goes.

tfm/X: honey, i thought that we'd go camping at this chick alice's house in mount airy.
    wives: what's this "we" lindberg?
tfm/X: oh, you don't want to go? cool. so i'll just go alo---ow! oh no! not the knees!

    Looks like Rivendell. Cool.

Beg your pardon? You've seen who wears the multi-colored pants in my family. If I say I'm going to O-Ren's palace, I'm going. And I better hear "yes, dear," cuz I've earned it. ;)

Sup, how does Friday look? Think I'll pay Reston its extortion money for access to those clay courts, but I will allow one session a week on hard courts. Nottoway will be fine if that's where you'll be. Gotta get more court time so I can stay up with all these young guns.

Lady Topaz. no e-mail yet. Assume it's about a weekend match; would you mind playing it on clay, after I join Reston? I'll buy some visitors' passes while I'm there.

Everyone should see Star Trek; I hear the Aerospace Museum in Chantilly has it on I-MAX, which would really blow my mind.

LOL. Guess Reston is kinda like Stepford, right?

Glad you are okay. How's your car? Could your hurting head and the car crash be related?

Decided to pay RA its extortion money, probably by Friday. Let me know when you bite that bullet.

Gotcha. ;) No chips allowed on my watch.

So you want to be Elle Driver/California Mountain Snake in the TWMAC Deadly Viper Tennis squad? Done. Here's a recommended lineup:

Elle Driver/California Mountain Snake = Skunk???
    O-Ren Ishii/Cottonmouth = Alice
Beatrix Kiddo/Black Mamba = Lady Topaz
    Budd/Sidewinder = TFM
    Bill/Snakecharmer = Sup (who else?)

We need another woman for Vernita Green/Copperhead.

I volunteer for Pai Mei. :)
