Dang nabit! I shouldn't have watched mid atlantic wrestling when I was a kid! It used to be based in NC. Anyway, if you want to get technical, we New Yorkers are also part of the mid atlantic chapter.

I know PA is 'middle-states'...I would imagine DE and NY are included in that.

VA, WV, DC, MD are 'mid-atlantic'...this is according to the USTA, of course. Those are the areas that make up the mid-atlantic sectionals, though.

Edit: NY is 'Eastern' section, north of that is the 'New England' section.

No, just expressing a bit of frustration! The 30th had been set for quite some time, and Shintan knew from the beginning that he was going to the Ravens game instead. Sup, along with the rest of us, has been waiting to hear from *you* for a commitment and a time.

That depends on one very important factor: what kind of backhand do you use?

In other words, one hander. I will not root for a 2 hander.

Ha! Well, then I guess that settles it right there, as I am a 2 hander.

Why? Why must you resort to using the 2 hander? Damn you, Chris Evert and Jimmy Connors for creating modern day warriors.

Alrighty. To say that this hasn't been difficult coordinating with you Zapvor is an understatement. Please email me your contact info so I can call you directly,.. for your responses and commitment level is below par.

Thanks to late responses and I will mutter the word: avoidance. Rock Creek Tennis Park and Herndon are now booked. I was holding a spot at Herndon for a week, but they had to finally let it go since I couldn't get a commitment.

So I regret that we cannot have a tennis meeting this weekend. I apologize to anyone who was hoping to attend.

If anyone has indoor time anywhere else, let me know. I'm open for any assistance at this time.

    Thanks
    "El Jefe"

    I wanna hit!
Lately its been warm out, I played comfortably today in shorts and tshirt. Though that is midday.
We should see if we can't have an outdoors hit this weekend or in the next few days if it stays around 50 like it was today???
I just got a shipment of strings and lead. So I am ready to go!

hmm. well i guess the whole holiday week thing meant i wasnt at a computer. i went on a ski trip, then crashed at a friends house for couple days, so i only chcked my email like once the entire time. also almost got myself killed on the slopes, haha. (but thats another story) i did neglect to check on here knowing the 30th meet was coming up. so thats my fault. i wasnt trying to avoid it though. i think everyone knows how much of a tenis fanatic i am here...i dont care as much for winning.

you should have called (although my phone died because i forgot my charger anyways). also i still dont have your number (you wouldnt give it to me last time i asked after i gave you mine;the last time i f**cked for the first match) but i guess i am just posting an excuse. i did reply too late. i appreciate your effort though sup. you did so much to put this thing back together, and i didint give you a time in time.

i did get court time this sunday at noon at haines point. but its only for 1 hour.

Nice hit with Shcmad, HB, and ZapMAN!! at the Nottaway (nice courts, by the way)...it was fun!!...I actually enjoyed the trip there because I haven't gotten on the train (metro) for like 4-5 years...reminded me of back in days when I was in Japan.

ZapMAN was playing unbelievably well today....and I think he is definitely ready.

We will definitely do it again soon when the weather permits and next time we all go to the hooters after the hit, ok?

Or we can always play indoors, Cheers.

Shintan, thanks for buying us dinner. It was great. We appreciate it. By the way, did you guys hit after you left us? LOL, you guys are insane. Mainly, zapvor.

Zapvor, thanks for the little christmas present. I didn't think you were that cunning. Although, I think PP would have cried of joy while opening the wrap. Thanks again. Sorry, I didn't get you anything. I promise I'll get you something special for your birthday in April. By the way, yesterday you were hitting the ball so hard I thought I was being overpowered! Keep up the good work, zapman. And, good job Coach Shintan.

I laughed so hard on this one. I'll give you some clues: First of all, you don't like sunlight. Second of all, you aren't the big one.

No problem, anytime bro. Yeah, we hit for maybe 30 mins at the court right by the GMU station. Nice place, though. My stomach was killing me so bad, I had to quit...hahahaha..

Yeah, no doubt Zap was hitting the ball VERY well...probably the best I've seen him. He doesn't recognize the talent he has. He will be a good one with a few years of hard work....and you, too. I don't even wanna think about when you start hitting heavy balls in all the time. A great job for both of you guys yesterday.

And...yeah I will upload the video later today, at megaupload...maybe.

2 Peeps sound interested. Anyone else?

Topaz, Upper M. is between 495/95 North and the Wilson Bridge. I would think about 40min to 1 hour away.

Lets remember there will be heavy traffic in that area due to the Redskin game.

    Proud of Shcmad

I'm proud of you Shcmad. We grouped up again (I had to "el jefe" Shcmad to come back out), and we took Patty and KoreanHB to the limit, taking one set in a TB. Shcmad played cool, and 100% better than last time. I think more match play and some thoughts on playing strategy and he has potential. Patty, it was nice playing you afterwards and sorry for wearing you out. You did make me work a little bit and I hope you had luck with Miles. Thanks for getting us time at Burke.

So Happy New Year guys and happy returns (and serves). :)

P.S. Next meeting I'm brining out the radar gun. I am also bringing out a vision test for Korean and Patty.

OK, I finally got tickets and am officially going to the Ravens game tomorrow. I've got pretty good seats lower section front rows around 35 yard line!! :) The weather forecast is not promising at all as of now which sucks, though.

Therefore, I cannot make it to the meeting tomorrow even though I desperately want to go... Good luck to both Topaz-San and my best-ever student ZapMAN tomorrow And for those attending the meet, have fun and make sure to tape the match, please.

By the way, it's nice out today. I am pretty sure kids are out playing tennis, and I will as well later on.

Thanks, Sup. I very much appreciate your kind words, and thanks for sticking with me even though I'm a headcase, and may not the best doubles partner out there.

P.S. I like how you used "el jefe" as a verb.

Also, Happy New Year, TW MAC!

Hey SHintan, I saw Zap's rally video last night. It was funny as heck.

I don't know which part was funnier: Zap showing frustration or Zap's tendency to overrotate on every shot. ;)

I love how Shintan shouts out words of wisdom: "Camera's on. Come on. You have to play seriously. OK?"

Zap: Well, look who was talking about me being a ditz last night. I wonder who the headcase is...shaking his head all the time. :)
