right. how about sunday? i'm planning on improving my alcohol tolerance on friday night, so i may need saturday morning to "recover."

jjjj, i'm sorry you guys won't be able to come--i know that urbana is a pain to get to, if you're not near the 270 corridor. but i think that columbia is even farther for xis. maybe columbia next weekend?

Dude, you coming out Sunday? To Urbana? I think it's in Illinois.

Be good to see you again.

Think I figured out where Sup is - he's out there slinging $ in the financial world, trying to buy GM. Or maybe the Cubbies. :)

Hahaha... I'm not kidding, this morning I was driving my usual 5 minute commute to work and I see this guy jogging on the sidewalk. He was wearing a karate gi and he was running along, throwing punches ala Rocky. When I got closer I saw that in addition to wearing a karate gi, he was also wearing the RexKwondo pants!!! I almost wrecked my car, I was laughing so hard.

    Bow to your sensei!!!

Ha! When I jogged, I took imaginary tennis swings. People laughed at me, too. Response: Bite me, fat boy (girl). :)

I need to create a thread on shadow swinging in random places... LOL!

I was walking out of the parking garage and I doing my forehand shadow swing, and people were looking at me like I'm mad.

    Hey, shadow swinging/boxing is fine.

Shadow swinging/boxing while wearing a karate gi and RexKwondo pants is just wrong. ;)

It's ALWAYS the shoes, Dats, ALWAYS. Well, almost always. Good to see you back; been on vacation or helping the Sup man buy GM?

Speaking of shoes, Auzzie, just ordered a pair of ASICS Game 2 - the blue ones, of course. Didn't you try those? If so, how do they compare with the Res 2s? I know they're cheaper and lighter; hope they are just as cushioned and gentle on decrepid old knees.

Dats, it takes me about 10 minutes to drive from my office to Kenmore Middle School; I typically leave around 3:30 and pass KM by 3:45. Seems like a waste not to stop and hit a few tennis balls. :)

TFM - Sappy - passed by the bulletin board and there looks like there's another 3.5 on base. Looks like he's a member of the College park tennis center too - red clay anyone?

I'm going to drop this dude some e-mail.

The 23-year-old Frenchman, who was cleared to resume playing after completing a 2 1/2 -month ban Wednesday, convinced an independent anti-doping tribunal that he ingested cocaine by kissing a woman he met at a nightclub in Miami.

Would you like that pigeon with a side of soy sauce?

I'm pretty sure Sup's cave has both cell and internet reception.

@JRK: I think Sup had demoed the KFactor Kobra Tour at one point...said it was Wilson's version of the Babolat APDC.

Something about the name 'youtek' just bothers me...makes me think of Tibetan monks for some reason.

When I first met Sup all those years ago, the first thing he said to me was "I think you would like hitting with the APDC..." and I said "really, it looks like that thing would break."

And I never hit with it. I've also never hit with Feds racket so at least I'm not being bias.

Jrk, those are all interesting demoes. I must say I am curious about the Wilson and the gamma. The t7 is supposedly a lighter version of my g325s. I'd def be curious to hit with those. I actually demoed 4 frames for a friend (seriously) this week. Got an mspeed 98, liquidmtal rad mp, donnay pro one intl, and a babolat pure storm tour. They are going back Friday, so if anyone wants to hit with them, let me know.

Xisbum, I tried the challengers, not the game 2's. I do have a friend who just bought game 1's and he likes them.
I can do a challenge match/ demo session tomorrow after 7 prob, and Friday anytime after around 4:30.

auz... you get that YY mid racquet?
auz, u still gotz some o that Plasma Pure?
i'm gonna start demoing strings in the XXX2damaXXzs.
i wonder if it was just pulling twice on each main
(or using a sythetic gut o the crosses)
that made the difference, but this string setup BBO/gosen is much tighter at 58lbs than my full poly at 62lbs. hrmmm.
i definitely like not having a trampoline for a racquet.

JRK, why don't you get this???

I didn't get the Yonex RD Ti 70 88. I just saw an auction for it. I do have one set of SPPP, but I am probably going to be stringing it up today in one of my Gamma's. I may give that 2x pull on each main a shot, because I always like tighter strings. Not quite sure what to string SPPP at, because I don't know exactly how it responds or plays for that matter. Anyone have any experience?

oh and p.s. I have always wondered myself, why JRK never got that 105. Its the same frame that he likes-just the older version. I guess maybe he wanted it in yellow/green/black.

If JRK can't play tomorrow after 7, is anyone else interested? I could also possibly play in Reston/Herndon area at around that time.

Auzzie - I can play after 7pm tomorrow, the demo's probably won't arrive until Friday though. I can hit Friday as well though too. Let me know...

Dats - I demo'd that racket as well but it was just a tad too heavy for my liking. The newer 105 is basically my Ti Rad with an open string pattern. I'm not sure why it hasn't gone on sale when every other Fischer is on sale, even the yellow M-Comps are on sale.

ok, jrk, so tomorrow at 7, where do you want to try? I just strung a gamma with platinum blue gear mains and sppp crosses at 66/68, double pulling the mains. really curious to see how this works out. i have been reading reviews that sppp is prone to snapping like cf, so hopefully this lasts me a while like my other setups. Not a big fan of the white mains and orange crosses :(. but i guess playability is the deciding factor.

    back to the drawing board

xis, my tennis mommy homies are busy doing suburban mommy things like renovating their showers and stuff this weekend. and i alone am totally not worth the drive to urbana. jjjjjjj/ppl/nitefly/sappy, would you all be more likely to show up if we met in montgomery county? or howard county? i liked those howard high school courts: that half-fence was weird but more importantly, it was close to slurpees & a good thai restaurant!

I should be getting the new PDGT, Aero Storm 08, 3D 500 Tour, and Becker Pro soon. Hopefully by next week. We should have a demo session!
