I take you to the Druid Hill park...Sharapova used to play there when she was like 12-13...for the open tournament in Baltimore.

Yeah...I am actually planning to hit with Gael Monflis "like" later in the evening. If you wanna meet up somewhere, I can let you feel my spins are NOTHING compare to his.

Great score against Miles. He seemed a little rusty and the fact he split sets means either he warmed up or you got sore from our play the day before. What did you pick on? Was his serve off?

Yeah Patty. Impressive since Miles was, I believe a former college player. Not sure if the Blue Hens are a tennis powerhouse? Are they?

How old was he? I like thinking I'm the oldest still putting you wippersnappers in their place. There can be only one as Patty knows.

OMG...just came back from a hit against Monfils.

I probably played my best tennis in a long time, definitely best in 5-6 months...lost to him 7-6(5)...against a 4.5 player like him, I was VERY happy the way I played tonight...hopefully I can keep this up. It also gives me so much more confidence of my singles game.

I really like the new combo of SPPP/PSGD now. So much more power and better serve, though the backhand is not as good, but I will take my better forehand and serve anyday. Screw the OG Micro. It's junk....if anyone is curious of trying.

Is the MAC Meet happenin today with TopZap match and all???
I'm eager to test out my PD+ on some MAC members. If I can make it, if there is a meet lol.
I feel like zap being so clueless at this point :)

Yeah, PP, you are very observant. Alas, the deal fell through and there will be no official meet today.

It's a shame. I had trophies ready for both participants!

    Shooooot.
I tell ya this much. a PP vs. Sup match would not have this many problems. I think we should set that up, I am playin the PD+ lately, so I won't feel awkward getting bageled by a K90, Roddick does it all the time.

I'm anxious to get a hit in with some MAC members, I haven't had a real test with the PD+ yet.

Sounds like fun. Can you make the this Roddick face as well?

If you are having problems making that face. Please see Shcmad as he has perfected the Safin look as well.

I am watching it right now. Man, if Lopez ever had a decent backhand, he would easily be top 10-15 player if not better.

*eyebrow* The problem was one-sided. I'm ready to play.

Yes, isn't that your bronze ball in the background? Good for scale comparisons.

    *thinking* Are they pencil sharpeners?!?

I would, but my DVR is already full of all the Aussie Open matches they've been showing!

^^^Shcmad! Why did you take all your other videos down? I loved the one of everyone serving, and now it is not there.

Thanks for recording Zap by the way...very helpful!

One night, I just felt like taking them all down for no particular reason. But you know what? Let me re-upload the TW MAC "Official" video with everybody hitting serves. I still have all my other videos saved on my computer, so I watch them from time to time whenever I need a boost in my self-esteem. Kidding!

All credit to Coach Shintan for recording us with his video camera. He filmed us solely with the purpose of helping us analyze our own strokes. However, it seems like a certain turncoat is leaking practice videos of Zap.

Ummm, I found it on *your* youtube account...so would that make you the turncoat?

Take Zap down, but put the serves back up! :) Please?

Don't worry. I had Zap's permission to upload it under my account.

I also just finished uploading the 'serve' video.

In the middle of the video, Shintan makes a remark about the mystery player: "He has Roger Federer-like talent." There is only one player in the TW MAC who fits that description.

It's ok...In two months, I am heading to the "Sunny and Burning" place. I feel so sick after watching the game in the cold and wet weather. This is not good, but at least the Ravens broke the losing streak of 9 games...LOL!!

Yeah...THE GUY has Federer-like talent..he can hit any kind of ball...short, long...side spins...whatever...but the problem is we don't know which one is coming, and the guy doesn't even know which one he is hitting.

Anyway, we should get together and do some SERIOUS meet (instead of just fooling around) before school starts.

    Happy New Year...TW MAC!!

    Okay TMAC,

Please tell me someone taped either the Fed vs Lopez match last night, but more importantly the Becker vs Lendl (91 OZ open final) as well.

I really want the DVD of either. Please please please!

    Thanks

    Funny Story

Just a funny story to share. I was playing one of my buddies on Friday at Haynes Point. He had not hit in over a year but he still wanted to play some tennis. Anyway, I beat him 6-1, 6-0, 6-0. I dropped that one game becasue I was trying to hit winners on every other service return then I dropped an easy ball into the net. We also had some deuce games on his serve, but it was mainly because of the same reason. It was pretty bad, I was hitting my second serve with just spin and he had a hard time returning.

Anyway, after it was all said and done, he says with a straight face, "Well that was more competative than I orginally thought."

I'm like "HUH?" - I just beat you one, love, and love. Hard to get any less competative than that.

I think he's planning on getting his revenge later this winter as he's invited me to go out skiing. Don't be surpised if I show up to a TW-MAC meeting with casts on all four limbs.

    TW Mac Meeting idea

Before the college kids go back to school (Jan 14th), we should have one more meeting. I would like to organize but need some feedback on what days are best. My goal is to get max participation.

Also, I would like to throw out the idea of having a brief "wood racquet" exhibition. Bring your wood racquet or borrow one, and we will have one quick super tiebreak tournament.

    So when is everyone available?

    Topaz versus Cindysphinx

    Sup2Dresq –

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter tennis highlight for the New Year could be a showdown between Topaz and Cindysphinx. Prediction: Many people will show up to see this event.

First, Cindysphinx may say that she prefers doubles. If so, then invite her to pick the male doubles partner of her choice, and you'll team up with Topaz.

Second, Cindysphinx may point out that she has sundry time constraints and distance issues. So you could suggest that you and Topaz would be willing to play anywhere in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.

    Think about it. :)
