for what? the whole stadium was against her. there's no need to charge a lines person 100x smaller than her size with a tennis racquet. the verbal abuse was clear and the sheer number of expletives were echoing through the whole court filled with kids.

she has no grounds for behaving like a uber b!tch

Sappy, I don't condone her behavior at all. Look up some of my posts on the subject if you care to know where I stand here.

The bolded part is what I was calling sad.

PS...so, you were there? When do we get to see pics/vids?

JRK: didn't go today. however i'd totally dry hump the fed if i ran on court

topaz: serena is a buffalo any way you splice it. however i acknowledge that our views differ in many ways. maybe we can get sup to chime in to call serena a water buffalo so all 3 of us can finally agree. woot!! :)

    2009 TWMAC ladder winner

*Spots are still being reviewed, but preliminary winners are*

In conjunction with Sup Enterprises, the following prizes will be given to the following winners:

    1) final #1 spot (MrHan)
    2) final #2 spot (Auzzism)
    3) player who has played the most different opponents (PPL* -6)
    4) player who has played the most females or different opponents over 50 years of age. (Mega - 3)

*There can not be multiple category winners. For my amusement, the prizes will be selected like a "white elephant" gift exchange (see prize selection below for details).

Prize selection: The day after the USO final, after midnight, the #4 category winner will get to choose first. The #3 can select another prize or trump and take the #4's prize selection, .....where the #1 can select from any prizes remaining for a final switch.

    Prizes:

    - 1 TW $25 gift certificate
    - 1 Nike $25 gift certificate
    - 1 E Bay $25 gift certificate
    - 1 Sports Authority $25 gift certificate

Disclaimer. Sup can disqualify anyone, not give out prizes out of spite, and negate the contest if he feels not enough participants qualified.

    Topaz,

I thought you had played Alice? There was no score for that match.

Also I thought you played Skunk more than once.

If the above is true you beat out Magma by 1 match. I think you missed the deadline to enter. i have to go back and read my post about such matters.

Edit: Deadline: Conclusion/Last point of the Men's USO final singles match. (No scores entered afterwards will be received).

Can I get the "f**k it" prize since I have the most scores NOT entered? I think I have 4 or 5. :)

p.s. Remember I called del Potro to win the whole thing? I actually had him winning every tournament after last year's Legg Mason, LOL.

i went to Il Mee again.
i thought i was going to see a picture of me up and
not be allowed to enter after the damage i did there the 1st time.

it was like being the blueberry girl @ Willy Wonka's factory.
    i attacked the sushi mercilessly.
then i grabbed several lbs of Kalbi and bulgogi along with some spicy
chicken... had the waitress cook that shizzle up.

    got full.
walked around the buffet for some exercise.... but in doing so, i picked
up a plate of rice noodles, pork spareribs, Gen Tso's chicken, dumplings, etc.

then i was REALLY REALLY full.

got some ice cream for the ride home.
    -------- YUM!

this was last weekend, so i am ready for a return trip! Let me know who's up for it!

Question...is Magma's -3 all the matches he played against me? Because that is against the *same* person. You clearly have written 'the most females or different opponents over 50'. Does the 'different' only apply to the one person we have over 50? Or to the female thing, too.

I feel a bit taken...and here I thought he was willing to play me over and over and over again because he was a nice guy!!!

    ;)

JK...Magma is a very nice guy!

But, my question stands...can we have some clarification on #3?

Also, I have played Skunk three times total, but only once during the ladder 'window'. It is entered, and I double checked with her...it is correct.

I started to play Alice, but we never finished so they could go to dinner.

I played Shell, but she is not on the ladder.

So, by my count (and the scores should back me up) I am at 2 matches...I played both Xisbum and Skunk (who has been back from Peru for quite a long time).

That puts me behind the 3 times that Magma played me. If indeed, that is how you are counting it.

-Topaz, who has dragged a TV into her office so she can watch the final!

Yes you are repeating the rules correctly. Most female and different opponents over 50.

HW talk: Most matches with chics.. and playing Xisbum (since I believe he is the only legit over 50..not counting us elves).

    So for you Topaz.

You had 7 matches, 5 opponents and 2 (female/xisbum) matches... entered.

Magma has 6 matches, 4 opponents and 3 (female/xisbum) matches. All three with you! So sorry. Seinfeld party of 4!

So if we went with different female opponents and over 50 players we would have a 3 way tie. Xisbum has played you and Alice, Darrick has played Xisbum and you, and Nitefly has played you and Alice. I have to double check the above is right. Looks right.

    So again no Soup!

Since there is time. I suggest getting Shell in and entering the match. That would tie you with Magma. Since I made no mention of a tiebreak. I would have to think of a clever way to break the tie. Rock, Paper, Scissors? Guitar Rock Band contest? Guess Sappy's weight? or perhaps since its football season one mean game of paper football.

Yup; very unFed-like. But the man don't like Hawkeye, and has expressed his disdain for it many times in the past.

He did give Delpo his due in his gracious loser speech. And bully for the young Argentine for not letting the TV guy dictate what he could and couldn't say - in Spanish.

Pretty cool Open, all in all.

Sup - Looks like a chance of rain Friday; want me to check on some indoor time at FRC?

Text between Sup and I during last night's final.
    -------------------------------------------------

    First text...

Me: JMDP's forehand reminds me of my forehand.

Sup: Maybe when he uses his left hand.

    Me: That's cold.

Sup: Well, you do have his hair.

Second text... (at the end of the match)

    Me: Whoo-hoo!!!

Sup: You missed what he said in Spanish, he thanked everyone for sticking by him.

Me: No, I heard it, he also said "Thanks to TheJRK for helping me with my forehand."

Sup: Yeah, by showing him what not to do.

    :(

Congrats to JRK..... errr I mean JMDP for winning the US open.

Yeah - where was the point penalty????? ;)

Best part was where he was like - "don't tell me to be quiet" - what was unsaid was ".......... because I'm the mf-ing Federer."

How can you no love JMDP??? I like how he kpet insisting that he say something in spanish and got all teared up.

So does JMDP now own the most dangerous forehand in tennis????

What I found funny during last night's match was this:

Fed was complaining to the umpire about "el enano" taking too long to challenge line calls. He even let out the s-word. But, later in the match, he took about half a minute to discuss something with the umpire, then 20 seconds later, he decides to challenge the call. Setting up a double standard I see...

Btw, I think I have a new favorite umpire now. This Jake Garner guy doesn't take crap from nobody. From what I've seen since he busted into the scene in 2006, he doesn't simply ignore players' whining like all other umpires out there. He actually fires back at players. I can't believe he told Fed to be quiet. He's got some pelotas. jajaja.

jake garner is the absolute WORST chair ump.
there are always problems in his matches... and the final
was probably the worst job ever.
(uh.. fed, sorry it was a fan making the out call... uh.. fed, sure even though
we've been talking for minutes and i've been warning delpo about taking too long to challenge, go ahead and challenge now...
uh.. wow fed, the fan was right.. it was out... i guess it is a second serve.. uh sorry delpo, that should've been your point but now i guess just cuz i've made a mess out of it.. go ahead and take a 1st serve." WTF?
it is pretty obvious Roddick, and now Fed think he suXorz too. but i guess he was doing the final match because somebody thinks he's good.

i thought Delpo's game would cause Fed big problems, but also thought
Delpo would crumble on the big points and Fed would shine, as usual.
I also thought Delpo would need to hit his 131mph bombs to win.
Turns out he could just spin his serve in and Fed would be the one
    double faulting in tiebreakers.

JRS... Best part was where he was like - "don't tell me to be quiet" - what was unsaid was ".......... because I'm the mf-ing Federer."
LOL..you are right.. in fact i was waiting for him to just come out and say it... don't put your hand in my face.. i'm the freekin Fed. i pay your salary.
without me you are nothing. i'll have your head chopped off and carry it around in my purse at wimbledon... (well, maybe not the last part!)

    Fed's serve was strangely off.......

Seems like he'd good 2 games at a time without making a first serve.
