Edit to add...only he was sporting some nice Nike threads last time I saw him...not exactly Walmart.

sappy buys his nike gear from walmart. if sappy cared more for tennis, he'd have a wardrobe to rival xisbum. instead he buys ski gear and camping gear.

how often does he go skiing? not often. how often does he go camping? not ever.

his harris teeter tennis combo bag is pimp though. it holds 3 racquets or milk, eggs and a loaf of bread. versatile.

    Gentlemen and lady!

You must answer this burning question for me!

I want to know...who among you are cereal mixers? As in, you mix two or more different cereals together?

I am. In fact, this morning, for a snack at school, I had 1/4 cup each of four different cereals...Kashi Honey Sunshine, Trader Joe's Ohs (their version of Cheerios), Trader Joe's organic Honey Crunch and Oats, and Uncle Sam's original. I thought it quite tasty!

I also enjoy my cereal on top of yogurt or oatmeal. And yes, I've even put Grape Nuts (one of my all time favorites) in a salad!!!

It has come to my attention that some people think this is no big deal, while others think it a bit bizarre. How about you? Are you a cereal mixer? If so, what do you mix?

I wish I had the patience to mix cereal. I am trying to lose weight; and as you will soon see, it's quite a struggle.

USA! USA! - just got back from the final US World Cup Qualifier. Fun game, we tied in the 90th minute, but should have won easily if we could hit and open net

    Weather was better than expected.

I have mixed cerals, but I don't go too wild - such as mixing Kashi Vanilla Shredded where with Kashi Cinnamon Shredded Wheat. I don't eat much cold cereal so ,y mixes are not too crazy..

Actually, I'm intimately aware of the struggle, but the most valuable tools for me were #1 - my measuring cups and spoons (measure those portions!), and #2 - this website:

    www.caloriecount.about.com

It is free, and you can track your calories *and* nutrients. It was eye opening for me, too, as I found that if I adjust my macronutrients in a certain way, it makes a bit difference (for me). There are some great recipes on there, too, and the mod in the fitness forum (melkor) is very helpful and knowledgeable!

Good luck! It is hard, but worth it!

I'm a big fan of the Kashi cereals...cinnamon shredded wheat? I'll have to look for that! Sounds yummy!

I was watching the Blake - Nadal match last night... they had some insane points! I like that green polo Nadal was wearing, I didn't really like the shorts though.

Sup - I'm gonna be late for the clinic tonight, I'm picking up la familia (not the drug cartel) from the airport at 6pm.

Sport and Health has a social on Friday nights starting at 7pm.

If you want to hit at 4pm, I can check to see if there is an opening, but I doubt you'll get more than 1 hour. Juniors take over.

Now I do have the morning open, I think. I have to work with some juniors, but I think I can pull away, since most will join the afternoon group.

    Xisbum/Jrs/Dats/TFM... morning doubles? 10am?

I kind of liked the shorts, but I think that's from hanging around Xisbum. Did you notice the previous Nadal shorts had the bling/dots you were looking for from the australian open.

Picking up anyone at the airport, unless its a curb side pick up.. will not go well in your favor.

At 4pm, the juniors take over the courts.

    Let me know.

P.S. I need to know who is going to show up so please post. Also anyone else interested let me know.

P.S.S. Its so freaking cold outside.

I'm clear from 2-4pm. Don't hurt me too bad, I have a 7.0 mixed at 9pm @ World Gate - Frak! I hate the greasy World Gate courts. Of course I'm playing with the capt in #3 dubs so she can check out my game.

BTW - I'm feeling the green polo/plaid shorts combo. Been looking at the Nike plaid shorts for a bit. May have to spring on it.

watching the shanghai tournament, i can't help but to think that we small asian women are a genetically modified super-breed of ballgirls. that level of obsequiousness doesn't just happen by accident.

What team do you play for in 7.0? I'm assuming you're rated a 3.5. I'm always looking for new people to hit with. I'd consider myself a very strong 3.5.

This is what I am wondering: those ballgirls are cute; how come the players just toss them the towels like they're nobody, and don't even smile? Is there some ATP rule against fraternizing or something? Seriously, some of them are nice enough to be a major distraction....
And I do not know ONE Asian woman who is obsequious. That is quite a Western myth. On the contray, if it were not for the women of Vietnam, America would not have lost that war. They are tough ladies. I admire them tremendously.

But Women still cant play Basketball. oh :)

Maybe since these guys play tons of tourneys they just get used to huckin the towel at whoever. Plus Madrid kinda ruined any chance for any other ball girl to get attention. I mean the madrid ball girls basically get paid so people look at them and most of the pros still ignore. Ball Girls are kinda like Pizzorn, once you you have seen it a few times its not that big of a deal. Unless its some hot lesbian ex girlfriend action (had to insert that one for Sup)

    Praise be to Allah

topaz, my son must be reading the boards: this morning, he requested a mixture of Cinna Bunnies & Honey Bunnies (something that sounds like it would be illegal in louisiana). he's already planned tomorrow's combo: Amazon Flakes & Panda Puffs.

Sup - Interesting clinic last night. How much longer are those other dudes gonna be in the clinic? They're driving me crazy. I only come now because I've already paid.

    1. Old dude with f**ked up knee who stands at the baseline only and subsequently gets drop-shotted every time

    2. Old gypsy looking dude with two bad knees who lobs everything and then tries to put the gypsy curse on me when I hit his lobs back

    3. Old spastic dude with 1970's tennis apparel who plays f***ing line judge for everyone, calling balls that land in and out...WTF?!?!?!?

At least the one asian dude is cool...

Sappy! Super glad you can make it.

I tried the jedi mind trick on Magma last night, hoping he would show today. Apparently those tinted glasses he wore blocked most of my suggestions.

I just joined up - I forgot the team name.

I'm rated a 3.5 - we can try to set up a hit... though it's harder to do in this cold-rainy weather.

E-mail me through my profile. BTW - Where are you located? I'm near Reston/Dulles.

The three dudes are moving to Monday. That was their last clinic with you guys. I broke the news to them last night. It went something like this:

Sup: Hey guys. I would like to move you guys to monday?

Guys: Why? Are we not having clinic on Thursdays?

Sup: No, its that there is room on Monday and I want you guys to take it.

Guys: So we can't stay on with Thursdays?

Sup: *waves hand* You don't want to stay on for Thursday. You want to go to mondays.

    Guys: See you monday

So conclusion. Moving forward, it will be TheJRK, JRS, Magma and HUNG (begin the joking.. but remember he is asian lol. jk..)

IMHO - most of the players ignore the ball kids (at any tourney) for the most part. Basically the kids are there to:
    1. Give players the ball
    2. Give players a towel
    3. Sometimes give them a drink or hold an umbrella.
    4. To be ignored...

Honestly, smiling at and talking to ball kids isn't going to win any matches and could be a distraction. I also don't think the WTA players are all that friendly with the ball kids either.

I don't feel too bad for the ball kids as they get the best seat in the house. Forget Front row, what's better than having Roddick's serve bounce about 5 feet from your head on the back curtain. I'm sure that on occasion, either before or after the match they can get autographs and stuff.
