JRK, you should just send it to me considering I live right down the block hahah! And as a college kid I don't have discerning tastes, so I should be able to resist the quality hah.

See everyone there tonite, I am hoping to go without hurting anyone with my serve...but I can't make any promises, it's a final destination sort of scenario when i start serving in doubles, taking out people in a specific and chaotic order.

That sounds like a fool-proof plan... like hiring Sappy to be your pizza delivery boy.

The following conversation (which we had last night) basically sums up my goals and my wife's goals.

Me - I need to figure out how to be a billionaire.

Wife - Have you seen my Shrek cup?

that's right. i went from sucking absolutely to just absolutely sucking.

as for my dream team, here's a bit of schadenfreude for you: i lost 4 players because of the rule that prevents more than 2 players from playing up, and i lost my stealth weapon college player because when he self-rated, he got rated at 5.5! he appealed but the lowest rating he qualified for was 4.5.

Anyone ever watch the show "Three Sheets"? It's a show devoted entirely to drinking alcohol.

It's basically the best show ever invented.

Haha, oh, I don't need *fancy* vodka, but I do like those boots!!!

I would like to say it was nice seeing everyone last night, but I really only saw Sup, JRS, and my partner for women's doubles. LOL I couldn't move real well by the end of the night!

How did we do? Sappy, I saw you for a moment, right? I do remember TFM cheering and watching a bit, as did Hdub. And I briefly warmed up with PP. Oh, and I saw Shcmad taking pictures! *eyebrow* And I said goodbye to magma. Ha. That's all I got.

Sorrie Toepeezy but I deleted all the pics as soon as I came home. Partly because quite a few of them came out blurry and partly because I was pizzed so I didn't feel like uploading them.

Not big on vodka but scotch whisky and fine cognac is right up my alley. Really enjoy sipping on some fine Pierre Ferrand XO early today... Great value, but more importantly, delicious XO for $73 a bottle. :D

Cincy were frauds. The worst part about the TCU vs Boise gane is that we cant see them play big time opponents to see how they would fair.

FLA vs Bama was the real Title game

I think Boise may be a bit overrated also.

But TCU has played some decent teams (BYU and Utah) and I would have like to see them play a Major Conference team.

to Put Boise and TCU in a game I think was stupid

all i know, is that I saw TCU give my UVA the BEAT DOWN...probably the worst game i've seen...we had 75ish yards of offense, late in the 4th quarter...TCU defense is ridiculous!

i can't remember the last time we had three repeat games from week 17 to the first week of the playoffs in the NFL. does anybody have a stat on this one?

    jets / bengals
    packers / cardinals
    eagles / cowboys

I was wondering the same thing... the funny/sad part was that the Packers left their starters in the whole time and the game didn't even matter. The Cards were like 'f**k this I'm taking a break'.

I dont like the "lets rest our guys and be healthy for the playoffs theory"

In the Cards case it wont be that long of a break and maybe they didnt want to show GB any gameplan. But GB has great D and I think the pass rush is going to kill Kurt Warner early in this game. Warner will be skitish and throw a couple INTs maybe possibly a TAINT (Touchdown After INTerception) or two.

The Colts will basically have a month off from playing a full game. Peyton will be prepared but the team is young and not used to it yet.

But recent history will suggest you are better off playing everygame and not tying to stop and restart mid season.

yeah thought that was odd. i mean i understand you wanna keep your guys sharp i guess but how sharp can you get when you're essentially playing the varsity high school squad?

what's for lunchies today? sappy sent me a pic of oysters on the half shell over the weekend. it looked effing good. this isn't the pic but it's close.

OK, boys, so help me out.

I had thought whoever won yesterday's game got a bye for the first week of playoffs? So, why do the Eagles and Cowboys play again, in Dallas (*grumble*)???

Who ended up #1 in the division if neither of them did? The Giants?!?

It's not so much about resting, it's risking injury before the playoffs. Look at Wes Welker and Boldin... those dudes probably won't be able to play now that they are injured, and for what? Because they were essentially playing in an exhibition game?

I don't think the NFL can do anything about teams sitting their starters when they have a lock on the playoffs. What the league needs to do is not charge fans so much money for those last 1-2 games in the season that end up as exhibition games with third-string QBs throwing to third-string WRs. How much money did those Arizona fans pay to see the Cards get blown out in a meaningless game?

Negative ghostrider... only the first two seeds get a bye. If the Eagles had won and the Vikes had lost then Philly would have gotten the bye. If Philly won they would have won the division, but since they didn't...

If the Cowboys and Eagles tied, Philly would've still been number one in the division.

The Giants couldn't win playing sudoku with all the numbers already filled in.

If a guy is banged up then sit him. But hes is healthy you acnt be skittish and scared of injury.

in 2007 the Pats were killing everybody and locked up the season early. they decided to go for the gusto and run the table. in Week 17 of that year the Giants new they were in the playoffs and couldnt improve thier postion. DId they rest thier guys? Bo they played the Pats though and eventually lost by 3 points. That game gave them the momentum they needed for the playoff run (the players have said as much) they ended up winning the SB because on the sickest catches in the history of football (and joe buck he was not wide open). But they played that final game and learned how to grind it out.

nope. wookie and i played saturday night at this tennis social at fairfax racquet club. $26 for 4 hours of tennis. probably closer to 2 hours or so total court time but still a good deal. food and drinks included.

who the heck would play outside in this weather? oh auzzie. but his body temperature is about twice that of an average human.

I would play outside... if I were playing doubles... on Auzzie's team... and I got to stand next to him the whole time. He's like a walking space heater.

All I know is I had to watch that movie "Shorts" on the plane ride back to DC and all I could think about is how I'll have to watch stupid kid movies from now on... like Santa Buddies, or Space Buddies, or Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel.

I thought his sweat glands were twice that of an average human?

P.S. That picture still doesn't do justice to auzzie's sweating abilities.

So, in failing to win yesterday, Philly went to #2 in the division?

And now, next week, we get to do it all over again?!? Dear lord, there better be a different result! *shaking fist*

One of my coworkers got me an Eagles Santa hat and scarf...because of the storm I just got it today. At least next game I'll have some swag to wear and hopefully will be able to *watch* the game.

Dallas won the division, the end.

Yes, Cowboys vs. Eagles, in Dallas.

It was on TV, just not on regular TV.
