you tall freak of nature. you have a bad sense of distance. it was 10 inches from my head!

in either case - it worked. we never broke you. i was too busy wondering if you were going to hit an ace, double fault, hit the ceiling, hit me in the head, hit yourself in the head. your philosophy must be: "if I don't know where the ball is going to go, THEY don't know where the ball is going to go."

    genius. pure genius. :???:

I've always wanted to check that place out. Friday noon or early afternoon should work. We should be able to get court time! I do have an appointment that morning, but I should be freed up by then. Shoot me an e-mail and Ill send you my phone number so we can coordinate.

SoBad and Zapvor: Outdoor tennis next weekend?

Down Dog and I are near Bethesda. She and I trade circumlocutions across the net, so I'm guessing that your articulate soliloquies should provide truly worthy challenges.

Mind if we join you and Zap for some baselining? All four of us are outdoor winter players (assuming high 40s F, no wind). And we prefer to follow your advice to “hit harder – control is for pansies.” :)

How about next weekend – Saturday or Sunday afternoon (January 26 or 27)?

Zap – I’ve promised you for weeks that I’d come out and hit with you – this could turn out to be a great session. :) If you have any logistical concerns, I could pick you up halfway.

    Oh Schmad.

Oh Shcmad. If only you had less belief in Safin. Perhaps your tennis life and possibly your personal life would elevate. I was feeling a bit sorry this morning for you, since it was such a close match. However, all that trash talking you did that last day 1/2 has killed that feeling.

So prepare the bottles, towels and rubber gloves. Shcmad is going BLONDE! I expect pictures or validation soon.

Good luck. Forecast is for 1 - 3" of snow. Right now, everyone in the DC Metro area (meaning a 100mi radius from DC) is making a mad rush to the store for milk & TP, then barring themselves in their basements or Nuclear Fallout shelters until the roads are cleared...

    Hi NiteFly,
    No, it's indoors.
$36/hour. (Split between two people for singles, it's $18/person.)

i just had a thought Sup. is it really punishment for losing a bet if changing his hair color is something he would do anyway?

if Schmad is kinda fruity from the get go -- wouldn't that be like "punishing" the Artist Formerly Known as Prince by making him prance around in a tight leotard and go go boots?

    just a thought.

I thought about that. For me it's a punishment, but perhaps the deed will open up the inner Shcmad. He may start wearing it all the time, plus tights and go go boots. Anything better than counting on Safin.

Overall, who cares! We all want to see him go blonde!

Neither snow, nor sleet, nor hail will stop my tennis service delivery......

The indoor time is for next week. Hopefully the weather is okay.

Sup, I plan on being at the bubble tonight as long as it doesn't collapse.

there's nothing you can do to him that is worse than the punishment he gets tournament to tournament by being a safin fan. the guy just brutalizes his fans.

in my much younger days i did the blonde thing, the red hair thing, shaved it all off shaolin monk style, frosted, crew cut, flat top. i think the best is bowl cut. i'm going back to it. :)

My shelter is getting prepared now! Wow it's coming down here.

Peeps be careful. I can see from my office window at least 2 people spinning out in the parking lot. You may be a good driver but for ever 1 in this area there is about 20 bad ones.

    Take care.

JRK, wish I heard from you earlier. Another one of my tennis buddies
e-mailed me earlier so he got the slot. Sorry about that.

However, let's try to hit within the next 2 weeks - if I can get spot time at Haynes Point again. Sometimes you luck out with spot time and sometimes you don't.

Looks like the baby/wife friendly schedule gets me some tennis time most Thursday nights. I am trying to play almost every week.

hmm...did someone fill you in from the beginning? i would check the facts...first, it was a joke (but i knew sup would get a rise out of it liek he always does)

i already said in my previous post he's the organizer from now on. he's a great guy and a great member. and if you go back further you will see that i dont want to run the show. sup does. he's the one saying how big his chair is at the round table and how it's hard to fill in his shoes.

now i am not saying everything i did was right. i will be the first to admit i have screwed up. but i didnt start the drama.
