I saw this pic and thought of JRK. Now if it was a martini instead of wine!

p.s. even the fact the baby's feet are near a hot stove .. reminded me of the JRK.. weird?

Haha, alright, we'll see about that...

Oh the fun tonight, just about play tennis in Green Spring, a friend call, her car stalled in the middle of intersection. Raced up to help her push the car the down road, getting nailed by hundreds of ice cubes, then play tennis in soaked clothes, socks, shoes, & undie...the fun money can never buy...

And we missed your smiling face and sterling tennis, good buddy. But kudos to young Mr. Chris for stepping in at the last minute. He and our soon-to-be Masters Degree guy beat our butts, too.

Maybe next time, Mr. T. And take care of that foot. :)

glad you guys found a replacement. and a good one at that. downs has more game in his left pinkie than i do in my bruised left toe and the entire body it's attached to.

where's the pics from the season's first tennis meet?

Sappy and Dats were there early! We played doubles and they weren't at the top of their game!

Not to say I didn't take my bruises from Sappy's blind squirrel forehands.

Apparently Topaz was hungry.. but we weren't getting the hint..

and lastly, went afterwards to see TheJRK and Rio

Come on, it wasn't that bad. I don't think there was a difference on more than a break maybe two max in the sets. Nothing was easy.

But it was fun playing Xis and Young J. The weather was great too.

Thanks to Chris for coming out.

After you guys left I stayed and hit with my buddy L and another Endorian FS from the sup-clinic. I stayed until 7pm. Man, I'm sore!!!! Glad it's raining, I had a singles match tonight....

Yeah, I know, but the way you guys were hitting the ball - and my partner young J, too - it sure felt like it was worse than it was. And I'm a writer - I get to take some poetic license every now and then to spice things up. :)

It was much fun, though, and that always makes a day in the sun worthwhile, win or lose.

But Carrot Cake isnt the State dessert of MD.

    You know what is

    Smith Island Cake

And if you order a black eyed susan one from the originalsmithislandcakeco they donate 15% to Komen boob resarch.

And they sell carrot cakes also.

    Welcome to the TWMAC.

    Haven't played at Fairfax HS.

I may be up for a hit in the evenings or weekends. There are a fair number of courts in the area. You can e-mail me through my profile.

If you're up for a short drive, I know some decent courts (lights/hard-tru).

I've never had Smith Island Cake... kinda looks like tiramisu.

Have you ever had dobash cake? I used to eat it all the time in Hawaii. Basically a chocolate cake, but you use 7Up instead of water (to keep the cake moist) and you use chocalate pudding instead of chocolate frosting. It's usually 3 layers or so. :)

zapvor!! yes!! haha...i am not match tough yet and lost to a guy i should have beaten...lost the first set, 6-1...was up 4-1 in the set and i had him huffing and puffing...lost it in the tie-breaker...i mean, i was physically ready to keep running! my serve is inconsistent as of the past 2 weeks...but it was actually fun to see a big mix of talent there...the tennis center at college park is a nice facility! (never been there before)

did you play in it too?
