Ahh, wish I could Dats, but I'm about to head onto court then I have a verrrry exciting paper to write. It has to do with the body system you will most likely be abusing tonight! Have fun and for goodness sake even the pay as you go phones have text these days!

I just remembered *smacks forehead* - sometimes Mrs. Wookie has to work late on Tuesdays - I might not be able to get to the courts until 8pm.

    I'll double check.

Big shout out to Lady Topaz and her friends B and C for braving the heat and traffic this a.m. for some good tennis and fun exchanges. Made my day - an old guy surrounded by young and attractive women.

Have to do it again sometime. Next time, you shoudl stick around for lunch. I owe you a glass of Sangria, remember? :)

No problem X...B and I are both teachers and play regularly together over the summer. She and I just played singles yesterday, then I played last night, and I think I just didn't have much in the tank this morning...at least we made you guys work hard for the first set!

Can I charge interest on the sangria?!?

In other news...Topaz is being signed by Prince.

I may not look as old as gandalf...but my tree rings are up there. That said, my 'feel old moment' just happened. My three eternal bachelor friends all got married and are xpecting.

    Surely 2012 is spot on.

What next...Ppl gets hitched, Sappy runs a marathon, Auzzie sticks to one racquet, Dats goes uninjured, Tfm has another kid, Shcmad becomes a gigolo, Jrs denounces Serena, Jrk says no to a poured martini, Shintan sings soprano, Alice acquires 'eye of the tiger', Xisbum wears jcrew religously, Zapvor settles down with a proper girl and keeps hotdog/shampoo fetish, Paulman doesn't spoil tennis scores, TheQuestion buys a SmartCar, Hollywood works for WNBA without a lawsuit or paternity test request, Drakulie stops cursing and smoking, and Sup gives up on Nike to become Nando stunt double?

X don't do anything religiously; I do it secularly.

    Well, maybe...

BTW, while quieting finishing off the cooler of Old Dominion from last weekend, just saw the sexiest thing watching a cable show called Covert Affairs, a woman driving a stick shift, REALLY driving a stick shift, in 6-inch heels. Wow.

for the price of those new donnays, I could probably buy a couple 3-4/10 condition originals (which might actually be more worth it). But no, there is another frame on the market that has the feel I am looking for. Not going to jinx it though.

That's...that's terrifying...if that day comes, I may have to put on some pink polo, pink bandana, pink wristband, pink shoes, and dig my butt every chance I get... :-?

Really? Just port holes and no string holes, yes?

WTF??? All the packages of white Big Ace I ordered are textured like Blue Gear - even though they are in a Big Ace labeled package????

went to see "i am love" last night. sexiest cinematic use of shrimp & homegrown zucchini i've ever seen. x, being a fan of cate blanchett, would probably like it...tilda swinton is actually conventionally pretty in this movie. i left the movie smiling and starving, but mr. wonderland was horrified. something about the wife suddenly declaring, "i'm in love the chef" at their son's funeral put him off, i think.

    It was the depot.

But I'm cool now. They are shipping 3 sets of Big Ace to me and I'm returning the 2 remaining sets I have. I asked for red to make sure they didn't mix it up this time.

JRS, I had thought you liked the red Big Ace on your Prestige Pros anyway?

FYI, if you don't care for the middling points from the depot, getting 3 sets or less from TrappTennis on the bay is cheaper shipping and they are really quick and responsive on your orders. Never had any problems with them. Highly recommended if you need a couple of small things/sets of strings.

I wanted to do one red and one white so I could tell them apart easier.

I do like the red though...

    I'll try Trapp next time.

JRS & TFM, many thanks for letting me join you guys for the hitting last night! I had a lot of fun and wore myself out during that 2 vs 1 drill and serving out that bucket of balls to JRS.

Late night hitting, though, takes a toll on me as I can't get myself settled down to get a restful sleep. Mo' coffee plz... lol

    *YAWN!!!!*

    *Slup coffee*

I hear you. It took a while before I could fall asleep.

No prob Paulman - we were glad to have you out. I like the 2 vs 1 drills - a lot of running and plenty of balls to hit. We should try to get some dubs running soon...

BTW- you have to teach me that top-spin lob. You had that thing working!
