No pictures... to be honest all but one thing I purchased was for other people (friends, cousins, etc.) Mrs.JRK bought more stuff than me and she doesn't even play!

I just couldn't justify buying new tennis gear when I play once a month, if that. Sappy mentioned last time we hit that he actually plays more than me, that's pretty sad.

I did almost buy the Delpo shirt just 'cuz it's kind of an odd-ball item since he wasn't even there, haha.

Jrk, sounds like a blast. I'm surprised we didn't run into each other... But I doubt Gil Reyes and Nadia Petrova were staying out our hotel ;)

I think a lot of the players were staying at the hotel next to us, which is where my mom was staying. I would see the US Open Official Cars waiting outside everyday.

The funny thing about the USO is that I think a lot of people that go aren't hardcore tennis fans. Players would just walk by and nobody would give them a second glance (besides me). Unless it's Federer, Nadal, Roddick, etc. I don't think a lot people know the majority of pro tennis players.

Marat was just sitting by himself in the window and not one person besides us stopped to talk to him. Even after we went in, everyone was looking at us like we were crazy. The dude sitting next to him was just staring at his laptop, he had no idea who Marat was.

I talked to Gil Reyes in the lobby for almost 10 minutes while he waited for his daughter. Not one person came up to him or said anything. Just seemed strange to me...

I know, I was sitting watching Pennetta and Dulko v Peer and Niculescu. Then the whole row behind me, who had been sitting there for a lot longer than I had been, asked me after like 15 minutes who they were watching...

Not to mention engaging Barbara Schett in conversation when everyone else was flocking around Wilander after the two were done hitting and filming for EuroSport. Schett was hitting better than Wilander anyway

I was staying at the W Hotel on Lexington Ave. But I think a lot of the players were staying at the Marriott next door. I saw a few coming out of the Waldorf Astoria as well.

We didn't stay there 'cuz we wanted to see the players though, we just have a membership with W Hotels so we stay at them wherever we go. The new hotel in South Beach is awesome.

Did you get some subs from Sam's? Koren dude in his basement makes one of the best italian cold cuts ive had. Also the special ham is good, and they make good cheesesteaks.

The wind really maeese with peeps. That Wozniaki match last night stared off with more double faults than winners. Then I changed the channel. I can only see much yellow shorts to keep me interested in a WTA match.

Also feel free to edit out match tape and only show the good shots we hit. SHould be able to fit it into a nice 2 minute video :)

Any one want to hit in Ft Indian town Gap, PA Saturday?

Any time after 5 PM works for me.

In seriousness now some time in the couploe weeks. Would there be any kind of interest in maybe hitting bit then snacking down on some crabs?

This time of year is prime for MD crabs. Best crabs of year are caught after labor day.

    Jrprostaff,

Thanks for the hit yesterday. I play proportionally better with less alcohol. Just two Champs beer with Jrk during lunch made my game better.

Of course drinking afterwards was a blast. It's a nice bar. Stayed there until game ended.

    Hollywood,

I'll drive up. Give us some dates.

p.s. poor nando. poor wawrinka. jrprostaff witnessed the adidas joking during wawrinka match. poor adidas.

    things that stress me out:

    1. hearing jmac wet himself every time fed hits a winner
    2. leaving wonderland to spend the next 2 months in seoul with my mom & kids
    3. realizing that i never got around to losing the 30 lbs or so that would let me escape being called a "flower piglet" by my extended relations
    4. having been too lazy with the sunscreen/not getting my freckles lasered off, i'm going to have to be subjected to endless "tsk-tsking" from family & strangers on the street for my swarthiness
    5. no tennis
    6. no oven

    Sup,

Maybe the weekend of 25th? either sturday or sunday is good for me. I prefer saturdays for this kind of thing myself. But it doesnt really matter to me. Availability of courts around here are endless at that time of year(or any time actually).

Crabs are not evrybody thing so i can always fire up the grill as well.

On the road to the home of the world's best BBQ and, for the time being, the world's greatest grandson. Wish I could join you guys in hitting today.

JRK, wonderful stories from NYC. Unforgettable experience. Sup, hilarious play-by-play of TFM's finals. Side-splitting stuff.

Enjoy the great weather, everyone. It's still mid-90s in Elvisland.

Check out espns front page theres a video there of Ole Miss trying to get Admiral Ackbar as there new mascot. Since ole miss is the running rebels and Ackbar was part of the rebel alliance and all.

This is not, I repeat NOT a trap.

thanks for coming out to hit yesterday auzzie.
i can't believe how bad i was playing.
i just had no energy after 15-20 minutes.
i dunno if it is even worth looking at the video.
thanks for mercifully turning it off for me!

man the 4 1/8 size grip on those PPO racquets felt really good!
i could serve bombs and hit the best backhand in months with those
    sticks! dang it!
i just calibrated my crank machine... and it was 7lbs high.
i am sure it will fix everything wrong with my game.. har.

did you see my email about the Donnays???
are you buying a reel of ALU today???

(don't sell those Princes for a while.. best $30 sticks ever!!!)
