Question 1: Any TWMAC'ers picking up Halo Reach for the 360?

Question 2: Any TWMAC'ers enjoying the rain in NYC? Time to throw a roof on that mother sucker.

I've got Reach coming from Amazon on Tuesday... might have to call in sick, haha. Actually, I'm supposed to be doing proposal work for the next two weeks which means 16 hour days.

    :(

The Approaches were a good deal.

Got your email about those old as heck Donnays going for $225. Those have been on auction for prob more than a year.

Didn't pull the trigger on the full reel. Wasn't the most comfortable during my singles league match today, so I am still going to test other strings. I still have a couple more sets of both BBO and ALU Rough to play around with though.

Sidenote, anyone have any experience with Tour Bite yet?

tour bite is good stuff...plenty of spin, decent pop, decent tension stability and seems to play well for a while...i've tried it both in full bed and hybrid form -- i think i prefer the full bed slightly over the hybrid...the downfall, it is a little stiff, even at 54 lbs...kind of made my arm sore / tired...

i've only tried the solinco revolution once, but like tour-bite it has the same square profile with comparable amounts of spin...probably has a little more pop than tour bite and is a little more comfortable...i didn't have the same aches as i did with the tour bite...

i've strung up barb wire once a few months ago (got to play test it)...also a good string choice from solinco...like tour bite and revolution, it is comfortable with a lot of spin...i would say it has the least amount of power of the 2 strings above (tour bite and revolution)...definitely worth a test...

outlast was crap to me....too soft and too unpredictable for me...i just felt like i had no idea where the ball was going...

I think I can take you sappy in these suits. I've seen your balance on court, and figure the first time you fall will be much like an upside turtle.

Downs, Thanks for the review. On string forum someone compares MSV to the Tour Bite. Is that what it plays like? Does it play at all like ALU Rough?

So, did you guys do a home-invasion on Dats' place?

I was really pulling for Novak to win but it looks as though he was just ran outta steam.

p.s. OMG... Halo is probably sitting in my mailbox right now and I'm stuck at work.

Sup - Get an Xbox and get that game!!!

JRK - did you play the demo? How does it compare to MW2?

I think MW2 is my fave shooter of all time. Found Bad Company multiplayer to be boring.

    Xbox? PS? Wii? All three?

Seriously ....which has the wookie up all hours of the night playing halo and creating Sims waffle houses? I must know.

p.s. I'm glad you aren't home yet JRK. I'm surprising you and the Mrs.JRK with a bedroom make over.

    Hollywood,

Did you get invited to the JP housewarming party? If not.. sorry dude. The good news is that I saved a bunch on my car insurance. Oh and if you want, I can stop by on my way back and we can hit HdG.

    It's this Saturday.

I have all three, you just need the Xbox and Halo. Then it can be you, me, JRstriker, and Hwood.

Yeah the Skins are an offensive juggernaut and they are Super Bowl bound for sure.

    Wookie,

Are you still looking to buy a stringing machine?

This pic made me laugh. Instantly made me think of the wookie pic trick, where he would either move closer to the camera or stand next to the ewoks to look shaq like.

That won't work now jedi poser. Your text said "its was God taking pity" on the skins. Well for the decade or so of games going your way.. we're the favorite now! The DOTC is over!

I guess I should've put a [/sarcasm] at the end of my statement. McFlabb for 0 TD passes and your offense putting up two field goals. God does take pity on the Skins and DC sports fans in general, lets see...

    1. Skins
    2. Nats
    3. DC United
    4. Wizards
    5. Caps (for totally blowing it in the playoffs)

    Hey!

DC United was a decent team for a while.

D.C. United is the most successful professional soccer organization in the history of the United States. United is four-time MLS Cup Champions (1996, 1997, 1999 and 2004) and winners of the 1996 and 2008 U.S. Open Cup, the 1998 CONCACAF Champions Cup, the 1998 Interamerican Cup and the 1997, 1999, 2006 and 2007 MLS Supporters Shield.

What god did is punish DC United for not jumping ship when the DC gov. screwed them over for a stadium deal.

If I had friends I would own rock band and play the heck out of it. But I dont have any friends that would be remotly interested in playing rock band. All my friend does is golf. Shot a 74 the other day.

And my other friend is too busy rasing kids and making movies with roxio, but wont do anything with my high school video that gave me my nickname.

    Hollywood,

Is there singing? I have a hunch that with enough jager you may either sing like Ac/dc or Christopher Cross.

    I'll call you by Thursday.

    Jrk,

Get a night off and let's go to the russia house. Bring cash for kgb.

Grandson? Oh, yeah. That's why I drove 850 miles on bald tires with bits of steel shining in the dark. I forgot; having too much fun eating my sister's country fried steak with biskets and gravy and corn-on-the-cob and green beans and mashed potatoes, topped off by gallons of sweet tea. *burp* Don't need no beer to get a buzz on in The King's country. Love live The King!

Working gradually on actually holding the tyke; afraid I lost my touch cuz it's been so very, very long. Kinda scary. Pix will come, though, promise.

TWMAC sign? What sign? I don't got no stinkin' sign. Wha cho you talkin' 'bout, Willis?

My old stringing buddy retired, so I left my sticks with a couple of nice young Southern belles, around 22-23. Didn't have your recommended hybrid in stock but said Wilson's Ultimate Duo 16 is just as good. At least that's what I think she said; sounded something like this, between the gale force winds coming off those batting eyelashes:

"Sugah hun, ewe know I'd nevah, evah liii to ewe, doncha?" *bat, bat*

Had me clicking my black ASICS heels and chanting "There's no place like home. There's no place like home."

Memphis sounds like fun! I should of gone. I'll re-convince Hw to make the 90 year old grease burger trip.

Please a pic in memphis with twmac sign. maybe with newborn.

    Jrs,

I fear your gaming ability. Not saying you...but back in the day..the bigger the belly the better the gamer. Now its pre-teens. Lets play tennis very soon...even if its wii.

And now for the rest of the story...

My mama had a unique way of describing two people fighting - boys or girls. She said they "went to Fist City."

Well, my sis went to Cook City. She puts on a spread at Thanksgiving that's worthy of national monumenthood. She starts everything from scratch and bakes 6 different kinds of pies (pecan, apple, cherry, peach, banana cream and sweet potato) and at least two cakes, one of which is always coconut. Her dressing has been known to melt professional wrestlers and move Republicans to kiss Democrats.

All I can do is occasionally hit a decent tennis shot. Very humbling.

    Topaz,

Yup, like I said. Doubles this weekend. Hopefully you can find a partner. Mixed is another thing. Made it to final vs Mr.Han which was cancelled. Don't make me quote Goran again...we've played three times already. May I suggest Mr.Han, Auzzie or Jrs....

    Xisbum,

Eager to see grandson and twmac pic. Oh and bbq stories. yummy.

Beer flowing tonight boys and girls.

I'll be in hdg this weekend and out of town next.

    Auzzie -

Have you experimented with BG at low tension? I think I'm liking BG again... or maybe just month-old BG.

I have a racket with BG that's been sitting in my bag for about a month that I haven't played with. I hit with it tonight and it feel plush - lots of pocketing and spin.

Feels great from the baseline and the ball just drops and kicks.
