You know me too well, big buddy. Yup, Sandy K in 1966, his last year, and his left arm was already in advanced arthritic condition. Guess he was tired by WS time, and your Os did sweep. Koufax pitched once, against a very young Jim Palmer in game 2, lost 6-0. Drysdale lost twice, 5-2 in the 1st game and 1-0 in the 4th to Dave McNally. Third game was also 1-0, Wally Bunker over Claude Osteen.

Sandy retired after the series at 31 years old, was elected into the hall 5 years later on the first ballot, youngest ever at that time to be inducted (a few days past 36 years old). Most amazing pitcher I ever saw, and is still a gracious gentleman.

P.S. Frank Robinson hit two dingers in the first game and one in the fourth for the win. He never did like the Dodgers.
All games were day games, and I remember skipping class at U of Memphis to watch, much to my dismay. :-(

Koufax was ridiculous from everyone you hear about.

I wish I was around to watch him and BoB Gibson in thier primes.

Also the O's were stacked yet only maged to win 3 WS titles. Then Ripken came and destroyed the franchise with the most selfish record in the history of sports.

since we are talking baseball here, i recently read an article in espn mag that was about how when pitchers get drafted and go pro they lose mad velocity on their balls. interesting read

Hit with Fresh Prince Beast XP today.

I think I may be back on the poly train.

It's very stiff/low powered, but good control and spin from the baseline.

May give big ace another shot after this goes dead, or maybe go a to an thin 18 gauge poly for a try.

Plan to try the fresh global/iso string job on thurs for a comparison hit.

Still have a ton of multis in the bag though. Need to sell off these PDR's to get a third MGPP...

Auzzie, played JV tonight, I think he's playing you later this week.

Answered, dude, but no response from your cubicle yet. If you can't make it, I need to work on a twist serve so USTA can bump me to 4.5 next year. I think the computer is trying to match my rating with my age, so I'll be 7.0 in 6 years.

Back to you - To play or not to play? That is the question.

Thats because Brinkley was in those total gym commercials with chuck norris. I have from from a very reliable anonymous source that during the taping of those commercial Chuck was tappin it nightly.

And Im sure everyone know that Ckucks tears cure cancer, but all do not know that his sperm slows the aging process down on average of 14.65 years.

Nothing is more annoying then leaving dc winter for naples,tx just to hear it will be 70deg. Grrrrrrrr!
On the bright side, i am at a place with 36 tennis courts and for some reason they are all empty. Whole place is a ghost town... but beautiful. It is for sale for 5-6million..so temptedto take it over..just need 5.999.999 more! I paid for group lessons but getting private lessons with head pro. Sweeeet. Krush auzzie when i get back! James blake's patented " verticle drill" will make all the difference

    apparently i am a girl.
5/8 grip is making me slow on swings and possibly giving me wrist problems.
although i just took off the replacement grip and just using 2 overgrips and it already feels a little better.
the bab pst+ is a 1/4 and it also feels decent so i am insane. 13 years of tennis and i have no idea my gripsize.

day off from tennis tomorrow so my ankle, wrist, shoulder, and both knees can rest.. ahhhhhh thank god! popping aleves now!

well, i think i might like the AeroStorm GT better than the rest including my yonex mids. hrmmm. 4 1/2 gripsize strung with sensation. har
although it is kind of the perfect racquet for somebody like me that can't make up my mind. gotta check out similar sticks to see if it is time to make ANOTHER change. ay yi yi

Its a solid all around string. Just put it in my frame du jour for tonight, so I'll let you know how it works out... It seems really good at taking higher tensions while still having some comfort and playability. Kind of reminds me of a more forgiving Lux BBO if that means anything to you.

Hmmm..... I used to hit with Lux back in the day, but I can't remember which version they guy strung me with.

Anyway, I think I'm back to poly. I've been hitting with Beast XP (free 361 sample) and I like it - at least for singles. The gut hybrid is still nice and buttery though. Actually I like both, but it's a trade off. More power and touch at net with the gut or more spin and control with the hybrid. I need 4 rackets, two with gut hybrid and two with poly.

Another grueling training session today. Coach was impressed with inside out forehands but embarrassed for me on volleys and cross court forehands. But getting better. I have duch weak legs and arthritic knees...not sure how much training would.improve my strokes. Must run up mountains backwards until i have quads of steel.
Racquets are so frustrating. Aerostormgt felt great sometimes... but too stiffa lot of the time. Purestormgt+ felt awesome in hard baseline hitting and some volleys but felt like fiberglass was breaking on some hits...hard to describe. also felt very sluggish when doing quicker drills. have aerostormgt and head speed 18x20 for tomorrow. head feels decent, eady to whip around, but nothing special. need 11.7oz stick 66flex 100" and low swing weight with some perfect combo of power and control. any ideas? anybody play with davydenko dunlop? gotta demo10 sticks when iget back!

i think head youtek ig speed fits your requirements dats. i'm in strong like with my ozone tours which are a close fit minus the stiffness - 60 flex.

i've reached the same conclusion wookie. cept i want 2 of mine strung up with full syn gut and 2 with full poly or hybrid. poly when facing bashers and syn gut when facing pushers.

who strings your racquets tennismonkey? the only thing i tell my stringers are string it Strong or super strong.

strong for 5.5 and below while super strong is for anything from 5.5 to level 9000.

caring for string brand, make and everything else are for players of the WTA. def not for my 20 matched ps80 st vincints

Dats The Specs you mention sound eerily like a ProKennex Kinetic Pro 5G

    http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/ProKennex_Kinetic_Pro_5G_Classic_Racquets/descpageRCPK-P5G2.html

Or the 7G which is just .5 longer.

    http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/ProKennex_Kinetic_Pro_7G/descpageRCPK-P7G.html#spec

    And they are both cheap.

But I also know you like to tinker with silicone and lead and what not and they leave you no room to do so.

So the Head Youtek speed elite (the ones on sale for 140 each, but Im sure the new ones will be close to the same) may be one to look at. its 10.7strung weight would give you room to play. And the rest of the specs are pretty close.

Tried the head ig speed 18x20 today. Coach was impressed with my hitting right away but i think the diff was mainly full poly. I was hiitng 3ft above the net with good spin like he wants. but the racquet feels tweird and no plow. i volleyed great with it... but will still have.to demo 12 racquets when i get back. wish i could trust the specs on TW, but rdis100 was 12oz instead of 11.7..makes menervous to try other 11.7oz racquets.. guy at:confused: tennis place said i should try aerostorm tour..dunno. aaaaaagh...maybe extreme will be good enough..def cheaper!

Monkey..ive always liked ozone tour specs but not sure i would.like the ozone ports. Tried the o3 tour once and it had.no feedback at all. Mush. Maybe i try yours sometime..datsdemoday!!

    demo list:
    Yonex RDiS 200 MP
    Yonx RDiS 100MP
    Yonex Vcore 95
    Yonex Vcore 98
    Dunlop Biomimetic 200 Plus Mid+
    Head YOUTEK Prestige MP
    Wilson Six-One 95 BLX 18x20

How come you have to demo racquets that you have already owned within the last year ? The Prestige MP is a real sleeper frame. Awesome feel and control, only issue for me was kick on the second serve, but I only had one day hitting with it.
