Sup, very good to see you having a wonderful time down there in Florida! Wow, that's quite a list of things happening!

Key West is awesome. I've been there about 7 or 8 times visiting a buddy stationed there at the Naval Annex. Of course, do the Duvall crawl down there late into the night and early morning hours. Check out the tourist train ride for some good historical tidbits. Great fishing down there, if you cared but probably not much different from all of South Florida. I just go down there to fish, play tennis, and drink - maybe not in any particular order...just with close friends.

When are you going next? Maybe we can coordinate.

I was told about the bar crawl. They also have this Mardi Gras type festival in OCt that is suppose to be insane.

Deep Sea fishing was on my agenda. I should of listed it. However, the idea of going out for three hours to fish and drink seems fun only with a big group of your friends.

Tennis is everywhere here. However its like living in DC. All those great museums but really how many times do you visit it. It's right there! I keep pushing off training to do more exploring. I shouldn't take it for granted.

Camping was suggested, but I don't think it sounds fun without a mountain side to camp on.

Oh and happy birthday. You are as old as you feel. My wrist feels 80. My body feels 25.. my brain feels.. um.. feels.. um.. feels .. um.

Sup, I probably won't be headed to Key West for another couple years as my buddy is no longer stationed there but at Eglin AFB, near Pensacola. He'll probably retire soon though; he's done his 20... We will definitely go back to Key West one of these years as those were some of our best vacation trips. I was always down there during the summer or at latest early September, so I never got out to the famed festival you speak of. Please do tell us how it goes!

Yeah, things you take for granted because of location... We just played lots of tennis cause most of us love to play...much more so than going to museums! lol

Agreed, fishing, like drinking, is best with good friends.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I usually feel quite young, maybe not 25... just the one knee and back at most times feel 60...lol Enjoy life!

P.S. when doing the Duvall crawl, be careful to protect yourself if you ever bend over! KW, in particular Duvall Street, has one of the highest percentage of the rainbow folks...lol

    oooh key west.
i've spent some time in the jail there! w00t
i've also worn an orange jumpsuit and cleaned up the island
after a hurricane after staying up all night drinking.
hard labor! but if it wasn't for that, i wouldn't have found
the best cuban sandwich place on the island!
(i had a romantic experience with j-woww there... "hey baby,
lets go check out the cuban sandwich place i went to in my
orange jumpsuit! she must've been very impressed!)
i've also almost been killed at The Bull by 2 ex-cons
    named Chilli & Roy
(don't mess w/ chili and roy!)

weird stuff happens to me when i go to florida.
like the time when i should have been in the hospital
cuz i was so sick, but i promised my brother i'd go out
"for a little bit" and i ended up playing pool with sebastian bach
and watching him get in a fight and almost jumped in his limo
which i think would have led to a totally different life path!
    ROCK ON!!!!!

man, i think i am having a huge hangover from not playing 3 hours
of tennis everyday in Florida. perfect 80deg every day i was there!
i wonder if i can go back.
gotta find my new stick though.. or make sure i can serve w/ XxXtremes.

maybe i'll go down march 24-30th and catch some pro tenniz and do a little more training myself. i never did make it into the ocean, which is sort of a shame.. spent most of my time in the hot tub. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

hey... some of my best friends are rainbow folk. they rarely poke people just for bending over. the jail in Key West was a different story. again, stay away from chili and roy!!!!

Snow crabs are good. Not as good as blue crab IMO but still good. You get more meat with less work which is pretty sweet.

Ill hit up this all you can eat joint and we demolish the snow crab there. Ill take my can of JO in there and dip the legs in it.

Dats, I hear ya cuz I have a few rainbow friends too but saying they "rarely poke people just for bending over" somehow doesn't feel that confident inspiring!

Funny, don't remember playing you. But the mind does strange things "at my age," you know.

Did you say you were 39? What a coincidence; your age and mine are palimdromes. Small world. What were we talking about again?

When the weather gets nicer I'll make my way down there.

Ans when you say sell some POGLB, does that that you mean you want to buy more? Do you like them that much? Are you going to hack them down to 27 inches?

Xisbum, your memory is absolutely correct - we have not played or met yet. It's just your reputation precedes you! Your fellow TWMAC players have told me of your on court prowess. Plus any man at 63? who can still run around and play 4.0 USTA is a winner in my book!

You flatter me, sir, as do my TWMAC stalwart and sturdy students. Would that I could see 63 again; that grand year seems to have vanished in the haze with my independence (bonus points for the stalwart who IDs the song reference). All that's left of that glorious year when my legs were still swift and my eyes still keen are whispy memories of my last days without Depends. Been adrift in the River Styx ever since, with n'er but my trusty Wilsons as paddles, slowly living out the strings, so to speak (currently Wilson 17 ga Syn Gut).

    Pretty water colored memories, indeed.

    Sap Man,

I just spoke with Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong and he wanted me to post this as response to you mocking the Ghana Ski Team and your insult of Strikepieces Hip Hop Knowledge.

Plus there's lots of booty in the vid.

TW has a current deal on Lux Alu Power and Alu Rough strings. 3 sets for 11.30 per set. You guys think this is a good deal?

Been wanting to try Alu Rough forever....

just got my demos.. which of course brought torrential rain with it. bah!

why does yonex make several 98", 21mm players frames. ti-80, rdis100,rdis200?
that seems like overkill to me. i haven't hit with them yet, but i have feeling the 100&200 play almost the same.

gotta restring the rdis100.. old, low tension multi. not going to cut it for my complex 7.5 combo style!

p.s. - have u seen that tw has 1.27 gauge Wilson Enduro pro in silver, black, and red? i still think that string is a bargain. oh, and cyclone fans, don't forget to check the bird.. they still have old pricing. might have to get me some b4 its too late.

come on out on sat (wake 11am) to help dats pick a racquet.
got the igspeed18x20 and prestigepro with polys too. woo woo

dats, considering that you are 18mains type of hitter.. i wonder if u may also be 18 racquets type of player.. but we prob need some 6.0+ players to chime in as my advise already stands at rating of 5.5

I have to start saying no in my late night tennis program, but I'm too nice.

I'll hit with anyone, but a few guys want to get on my schedule all the time, and I've kind of lost interest in hitting with them a lot. We finish a hit and they're like:

Can you play tomorrow...how about next week?.....the week after that.....how about twice the following week....?

What's a cool way to say - we can only hit once a month?

Its cool they want to hit, but I found myself in kinda foul mood on court with these guys. I *almost* started arguing a call in a recent "for fun" match.

    1st playtest w/ 3year old balls.
the RDiS100mp feels the best on serves while the igSpeed feels best for volleys and droppers. (i think i might play better with 1/4 or 3/8 with only 2 overgrip and no replacement grip... like guga!)
rdis200 is very plush and solid but i don't think i like that feel. serves nicely too though.
rdis100 is crisper. feels like a lamborghini vs a range rover

hopefully i will get a real test tomorrow. hope 1 of them plays noticeably better than the rest! i want to settle on a frame so Sup shaves his head!

whenever I hear or read the names for yonex rackets, it justs sounds/reads like:

    RDiS2000000010101000101010101010101010101010100101010000202010-A

    -Me talking to tennismonkey:

    TM-Oh I picked up some RDiS101010101010101.
ME: Huh? didn't you just have those?
TM: No Those were the RDiS10010101010101. Which are slighly heavier than the RDiS1101010101010
    Me: Oh..... okay.....

This is the reason why I will never play with Yonex. ;)

pop quiz from this highly ukraine rated tennis player to the US players..

what does it mean in terms of playability if i have 2 sticks, same make/model. one is 16x19 and the other 18x20..

don't give me math either b/c my ukraine math is out of this world.

    ukrainian racquet expert opinion:
u would play better with a
    Dunlop 300 Tour (11.3oz, 18x20)
easier to whip around when footwork is less than stellar (check!)
18x20 for extra control when swinging out.

my experience with different string patterns:
16x19 gives plusher feel (more dwell time) and loopier shots.
18x20 gives more solid/crisp feel and tighter spin (possibly lower clearance over net)

i'm an 18mains kind of ukrainian.
i was deciding between YY200(16x19) and igSpeed(18x20) and i think the igSpeed is winning the race by a wide margin now.
