good luck zapvor! we believe in you. but if you can be the better person and make things right.. go for it. i understand how idiots in the references section can jump to conclusions without knowing all the info.. so i feel for ya buddy. but the facts presented do not make a glowing case for you. so mitigate the damage.... or get banned and come back as vorzap!

I'm not PaulMan, not even close, but as a die hard Wilson acolyte, I am curious to hear your comparison of Babs to Wilsons.

zap, you mean well.. but it doesn't always turn out well. like may other things i don't defend, i'm not going to string together a mess of threads unless there's entertaining value. as for what ppl say about you on a internet forum. it doesn't define you.. unless they said that you are a crazy mofo.. in which case it just may define you.

Sorry Topaz, whoever gave you that idea misrepresented me! I'm not gonna name any names but I'm thinking he just arrived down under a few weeks ago...lol Or maybe it was my former teammate who is now on your mixed dubs team?!?!

Lol! Actually, I got that idea all on my own from the posts here. I can only afford one new racquet right now. Was just thinking that when I get a second, it would be nice to get them matched. Auzzie and Downs were not implicated at all!!!

sigh... i fear the internetz might be imploding. it was good while it lasted.

only sappy can save talktennis.. either by way of food pRon , lolcatz, xzibit toenail lulz, or some cartoons from 4chan that distract all trolls and instantly return the "double rainbow" effect to all users.
    save us sappy!

i will be on va-cay for a week in FLA, so y'allz take care now, ya hear! 10-4 good buddies!

dinner tonight: Ginger-lime & buffalo wings and thai cucumber salad

    bless u all.
p.s. - 6465 posts might be considered a lot of time on talktennis.. just sayin. w00t

Hey X! Sorry, I didn't see this earlier.

I had tried the APDC a few times, but always came away with arm pain. When I tried the GT version (go figure, maybe it was the initials) I was able to finally use the racquet without any arm issues as long as I did not string with poly (which I learned the hard and painful way). The things I like about it over my Wilson kTours:
    1. Better maneuverability. Which isn't always a great thing, as I found it was easier to 'arm' and 'wrist' things successfully. But it greatly enhanced my defense in singles matches immediately .
    2. Though the kTour is supposedly a 'powerful' racquet, I had more zip and definitely more spin on the ball with the APD GT. The improvement in all areas of my game was immediate.
    3. Larger racquet. From a 95 to a 100. A little bit more doesn't hurt!

Now, as far as the difference between the APD GT and the new PD...it isn't much. In fact, the specs are identical in almost every area. And this drove me nuts. Why would Babolat even make these two racquets if on paper, they appear to be the same???

Except in swing weight. While the PD is slightly stiffer (like we need a racquet even stiffer than the APD GT?), its swingweight is considerably less. And maybe that is enough for the difference in feel, because they really do feel quite different from one another.

And in almost every review you read or watch, you'll hear the person remark about how stable and solid this version of the PD seems. And for me, it definitely feels more solid and stable, especially on volleys. And yes...a bit more zing and pop on the ball! I haven't put it down since I've been demoing! I used it in a 4.0 team practice, a practice singles match, and practice mixed match. I liked how it performed every single time. Dialing in the power will take a bit of practice though (and more spin)...there is a LOT of power in this racquet!

Let's hope with my own strings, it will be the same happy story!

    *crossing fingers and toes*

Edit: True story. As some of you know, my housemate travels to Africa regularly and takes used racquets with her to give to the local kids and teens. At one of my matches tonight, a lady I knew gave me three perfectly nice Head racquets. They were her daughters, who had been sponsored by Head, but the daughter gave it all up....for the new PD!

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. It won't be for a while, though...I shouldn't have spent the money on the first one, so the second one won't get ordered until I've sold a few Wilsons, Babolats, and least one Prince.

All I know is, one moment someone is undecided about a frame. Then after you touch aforementioned frame, aforementioned someone contends for a national title! If this happened on the pro tour, we'd all assume someone was juicing!

Oh so you're planning to rip more people off and then coming back here crying for TWMAC support when the **** hits the fan? lol Good to know.

What guilt? Why should I feel any guilt to cover you f'kking the transaction up and then coming back talking like a dooshe?

wow its one thing to be harsh, but now i see you dont even have the facts straight......you know what i will back out of this since you dont care enough to even read up on the facts. oh and you were the one bringing up the guilt. interesting how noone else in the MAC even mentioned it.

i personally introduced our old TWMAC member TFM to laotian hot recently. if you guys thought he was quick on his before then you should see how quickly he side stepped to the crapper while lugging a 50lb tennis bag.. (visualize a crab running wile trying to cover its *** with the big claw).... anyohw, laotian hot is not joke, you'd prob could of bottled what ever tfm's byproduct and sell it as sriracha sauce.

    Anyone going to the Sony?

    Paulman, Downs, Sappy.....anyone?

Just curious. A coach here for dushevina, sweeting and some others said it would be okay if I tagged along and helped. So locker room, practice court and the infamous players lunch section.

Things I could snag for tw guys:

Zapvor: Marie kirilenko. I'll send her priority mail and f@$&! it if the box is empty like said promise.

    Geoff and Bhbh: anything Federer.

Chris downs: any racquets laying around the stringers room.

    Paulman: see Chris downs above

Jrstriker: a mold of serena's assets.

    Sappy: Anything Wolfgang puck cooks

Tfm: anything free, delicious and untraceable.

Auzzie: Jmu sweatshirt. Demos. A session with priority one.

Topaz: anything kimmy. You have her stick, you have her as your avatar and perhaps you're practicing the splits at the hospital (emergency!!!).

Dats: Hewitt, Nalby or anything team candy cane.

I wondered how long it would be before someone put together the avatar and the racquet change.

First I need to learn to slide. Then the splits. Baby steps.

    How about:

    Ana's serve under pressure

    Nalby's discipline for dieting

Andy Murray's calm demeanor at his coaching staff

    Serena's humbleness toward defeat

    Rafa's command of English

Federer's ability to repell a crowd

    *yawn*

did i miss anything amazing over the weekend?

my latest food obsession is tortas gigantes - available at your nearest mexican taco truck. i've tried three different trucks in my area and the dirtiest truck had the best one. i think tortas gigantes translates to giant tortoise. it's basically carne asada in a sub sandwich. it's the mexican banh mi.

so.. if there is one gadget i wish someone to invent is prob a inter dimensional internet posting widget. i would create some aliases such that zap can buy/sell to himself. i'd act as the medium so that they can see each other's communication.. i'm sure 80-90% of the transactions will go smooth and without a hitch.. but that 10% will surely be bundles and bundles of hilarity.

i tried both over at the gburg mva. not so good. they make great tacos and other stuff. the korean korner over by viers mill has two taco trucks. the one at the bottom of the hill makes the best so far. nice soft fluffy subs, much better quality steak meat, avocado and no refried beans. winner.

i saw that truck but my mouth never waters when i hear corned beef. i likes me some corned beef hash with eggs but corned beef sandwich on rye doesn't really put a fire in my britches. is it really that good?
