Know what I said when we moved out of VA? F the MVA, F the State, and F the Judge. Let 'em find me.

LOL. I've seen that groundstroke somewhere. Now where was it? Oh, yeah, last time I hit with Sappy.

Uh, what kind of shoes is she wearing? :)

P.S. Grats on the newbie. Gonna name her Playa?

Well, baby #2 won't make his/her debut until October... no names yet.

Rio was wearing Adidas and she did actually trip and smack her face later on. That part I didn't catch on video although I thought I heard Sup's voice in my head like Obi Wan.

Nice racket, that's the same one Rio uses. I was torn between the Dora one and the Spongebob racket.

I thought "right to work" laws had little to do with your actual right to work and more with laws concerning joining a union?

That too. Also, i heard usually the judge usually lets a person drive to/from work only as well.
I had a friend who I went to court with on DUI charges in VA. His lawyer mentioned something correlated with this.

Nice. Well, the first time I took her out she grabbed my Ti Radical and handed me her Dora racket. The thing probably weighed more than her with all of the lead tape Auzzie stuck to it.

Question...I have to work that day, then have a dc match. If peeps are still around, probably eating, when I'm done I'll come join.

AQ? Are you out there? Thank you and little AQ for coming out today! We won 2-1 in the second match and thanks to a little help from another team in our bracket, we are once again in control of our destiny.

The cake was aaaaaaamazing!!!! Thank you so much!

And I'm in for 8.0 and out for 7.0 tomorrow. Want to be fresh for 8.0 match and 7.0 team is rolling along toward Sunday nicely.

    Out here!

Lil AQ actually yipped and yapped about how good a tennis player "mom's friend from Alexandria" was.

Sa-weet...on the team win. Now you've just got to skin the cats. Don't know a soul on that team. Most of the big guns from up that way play for Boar's Head...but your opponents must be an independent. Look out. That means hand-picked, all-star quality players.

Glad you ditched the lowly 7.0s. Dance with the ones that brung ya.

And...glad you liked the cake. Labor of Love...but licking the umpteen zillion bowls and beaters it takes to make...are morsels of payment.

I'm playing myself tomorrow...in a regular match at one of the tonier clubs in town: Westwood. Match starts at 4:30. If you're bored, ya know. :p Won't be with my regular partner, that's a thing of beauty, but it's our last match of the season. We'll probably finish third in a flight with two ringer teams. Not bad when half the team is/are 3.5s playing up. We'd like our chances next year but who knows what will happen with the 40+ thing. I ain't playin' in it, that's for darn sure.

sorry let me clarify. it was suspended because i didnt pay a ticket. so when i got pulled over it was already suspended. on top of that i never changed my address so. i did go to the court like last week and paid the ticket off, then went to mva and got my liscense reinstated. so thats a good amount of money already. the whole thing is just dumb

To play catch up with this thread since I've been gone for some time. Last time I was here:

Auzzie had moved back to the land down under.

    Dats got married.

    Xisbum moved to Graceland.

    Topaz had started nursing school.

    Hwood was defending the commonwealth.

Sup was soaking it up in FL.

TFM was asking "what's for lunch?"

Sappy was asking people to come down to H street.

JRS was doing the Tsonga dance.

Magma had a kid on the way.

Zap was being a responsible young adult.

    What else did I miss?

    That's a nice summary, JRK.

    Guess you can add....

AQ joined the Merry Band of Bandits. I'm the lone non-DC based fool here.

Topaz and Downs...way to throw the gauntlet down. Big fat 3-0, with all straight set wins ensures you'll win your flight, even if the Richmond team goes 3-0.

Guess that means you'll be on court again today/tonight. Good luck!! It's HOT out there.

Thanks! It was the good luck cake. That thing was ridiculously good so we'll need 2 or 3 more haha

We play the semifinal match tomorrow at 930am. It'll probably be hot!

Thanks AQ! We all came from behind to do it, too. My partner and I were down 2-5, with me serving! But we pulled it out! We knew going in that we needed all 3 and couldn't drop more than 2 courts because of Richmond.

My 7.0 team made it through too. It is them and 3 other Richmond teams!!!

    Haha downs!!!

AQ, we made it!!! 7.0 and 8.0! It was an all nova 8.0 final, which made us wonder why we drove two hours and went away for three days to play people that most of us are teammates with! Ha! My male opponent is one of my 7.0 teammates!

Oh and what a match! So happy the team made it through, but that was a heartbreaking loss.

Is there an emerging Team TopDowns dynasty brewing?????
I'm not positive, but I believe no TWMAC folks have been harassed by homeless, shirtless tennis playing hobos (with PB10 mids) at any Pentagon City tennis courts since you've had Rio...

OK Whats non-DC. I have to pay tolls to get to DC. Im sure you have no tolls. You are like 20 miles further away but I have to drive through two cities and cross two bodies of water. So I would say Im not DC based, Nor is the question, though he is a sporadic poster who I will crush at Ping Pong :)

OK here is what you gotta do man. Either act like like a crazy lunatic when you get locked up so nobody messes with you. Or walk in there to the biggest baddest looking dude and roundhouse kick him right in the face. They will think you are like a BlackBelt karate man like Billy Ray Valentine (Capricorn) and probably will just leave you alone because either way you are a crazy lunatic.

i tried the extreme again and was hitting some sweet kickers... so i think i am finally saying goodbye to the 95D.

definitely going 11oz and 100"... but maybe i should demo cuz i can't find my 09 extreme mp teflons anywhere. sigh.
i should prolly just buy the original version but the whole pre-strung thing scares me... i guess it is same quality. dunno wut to do. of course everything i want to demo is out of stock at TW like always. FARK!

congrats to all those that actually compete and even better those that win!
i go from aces and winners in practice to double faults and errors in matches
so it is best for me to just watch tv and swing my racquets indoors.
sapient and tennismonkey have accurately diagnosed my game. mental midget i guess.

    VAMOS RAFA!

p.s. - if im going on demo-fest 2012, auzzie needs to travel back here asap! come on! who else will play for 4hrs in the heat while i switch racquets and play like krap for 3.5 of those hours????? :p

finally got 15 minutes with my EZone XI 100 yesterday with RIP Control 17g.
Solid Stick. Very Stable even on off center shots, which was easy because i can only walk to the ball. Feel was pretty good even though the stick is alittle more thicker than my London. OHBH extremely sweet. It just hit through the ball very smoothly. My two hander moved alittle slower than I like. Slices remains hugging to the ground.
The thing I didn't like was the beam thickness. Stick moved through the air quicker than I thought. I took out all the lead and it played alot better! Paulman mentioned the racquet was pingy. I was playing with the yonex vib dampener so I couldn't hear the sound.
I was being ghetto and put head tape all around the racquet. It probably added some weight.
I think I have a love for thin beams now. I'll see how the NYC goes, since it's 23mm. Gotta goto zap's shop to demo.

My only gripe with RIP Control. I wish it was more crisp.

If you like thin beams go with the Donnaly's. Or find a couple old hammer 5.5 witht he spin cross sections. I got a 27.5 incher I can bring with a 5/8 grips. That thing was awesome at generating spin. I never liked it becuase it didnt serve rocket laser beam flat shots like my other frames. But in retroscpect I should have been using the spinny thing to hit wicker kickers.

That's what it came with (except mine's was it blue). Hit with it for 5 minutes. Liked it so much, cut it out on the court immediately! It was like hitting with first gen poly with less spin. Very harsh, and no feel. One of the very few Yonex products I didn't like.

why yellow? Just send me them yellow string. =P

Just changed my order from RIP control to Hexy Fiber.
Gosh, them Hexy's only last two hours and i don't hit hard.
Once the outer coating frays, I will be lucky to finish the set. But man, it's as crispy as a box of Popeye's.

Does Hingis use the XI/polytour as well? Gosh, she reminds me of Giada from Food Network. Besides Hingis doesn't need poly, she hits so soft. (at least it seems like it on tv)
