    Well at least she has the initiative and the concept down. Just have to work on location. Sounds like you'll be cruising through potty training in no time.

    I'm still recovering from our outing to the mall this weekend. I just needed a pair of pants but we packed up everyone in the car. Midway through the transaction, I noticed a severe diaper failure all over the stroller.

    Worse part was trying to fight off all the people who want to make baby talk and look at the twins and hoping they didn't see the large yellow puddle of baby poop while we made our way to the restrooms to clean up.

    Yeah, true. I dropped my coffee intake a while back so I still get a kick, but there was point where starbucks drip coffee was like water... don't ever want to go back to that place.

    Ill have to put my 80s on my scale but Id say strung they feel a tad over 12oz. Im liking them so far in the little bit of time Ive hit with them. The power difference to me was alot. I should be able to whip these light twigs around with no problem.

    Give me some string recomendations man. Im in experminet mode again.

    Those old School Texalium T Fights were legit good frames.

    tmonk: ur right. that pro staff 100 is very similar to the NYC. Only thing I complain about is for the stringer. Another one of them 7,9 skips. adds another 5 mins to the string job.
    But main difference is wilson will swing faster, more control, and flex more (more comfortable) but NYC should volley better, more power and more stable.

    Please enlighten me here. What is so bad about the 7-9 skip? And why are the other ones faster? Is it becuase if you only skip one hole you dont have to go worry about string blocking holes?

    My 325's skip 7T 9T and 8H and I havent strung anythign else in a while. So I really dont have a clue.

    I'm no jolly. I don't even play much. Been a month of sitting on a beach and hanging by pools. But to answer your question : I saw the balls three times. While serving, receiving and picking them up. Sad

    I got some super heavy players rackets he might want. Word on the street is fed has figured out the power of texalium and stole all of verdasco old stock and PJd some 325's.

    Please take the 325 out of that list. It doesnt belong along with those lightweights. Unless you are talking about the V02 Max junk they are trying to sell now.

    Ans which RQis 1 tour XL are you talkign about. Didnt they make a 95 and a 100?

    me not good with counting beyond one. Besides, use to have the traditional way of stringing racquets of one hole skips, no sharing of holes, no hole blocking, etc. etc.

    one of my co-workers is giving up his IG Radical S. i was wondering if anyone has played with this racquet before?

    I finally found a hidden location for the Prince CTS Graduate. So now, I can get 2 racquets. Thinking about a backup NYC and this racquet.

    Any thoughts?

    wow, found the perfect solution that works better than coffee. the smile to ur kid when u get home. =)

    the rqis is nice. amazingly stable racquet for its weight. found out that I needed higher skills before I can graduate to that stick. played with it after my rds003. actually haven't played with a yonex that I didn't like. still baffles me why they are not more popular.

    After I burst out laughing at your stories, my two (aged ~4 and just turned 6) wanted to know "why are you laughing, Mommy?". So I told 'em. And they laughed too.

    But it ain't always funny. I distinctly remember a day when I'd just about had it with my eldest's (lack of) success and I was scrubbing a carpet. When my dubs partner called to complain that her usually good-as-gold son had gotten himself into a little trouble in the school parking lot and that several mea culpas were gonna be required in the principal's office as well as the funds to fix some damaged property. That's when we both realized that our jobs, as Mommies, was to clean up ****; hers just cost a whole lot more than mine.

    And my two were completely different. Eldest required constant reminders and reinforcement and wore Pull-ups for months. Youngest just suddenly announced she was too old for diapers and didn't need Pull-ups either. Panties, please, Mommy, she said. Sure enough. I can count on one hand the number of "accidents" she's had. Eldest still has one every now and again (usually because she's over tired...and either wasn't reminded to go or didn't do so on her own).

    Keep at it, guys. It does get better. It's just one more thing in a long line of things we gotta teach 'em, things we all just seem to take for granted.

    OMG, we told our 3.5 year old son who has been peeing in the potty for months, this is the last time we would give him a poopy diaper tonight. He started walking around and somehow our kitchen tile was just turning brown. It was all over the floor, his legs, feet etc. I had to give him a 2nd bath. We were so pissed. He can hold it for a week, I don't care. Next time, it is going in the bowl.

    so... the Dats is totally out of shape and needs to get some other kind of exercise.
    ~~~~start long story of yadayada...sorry!~~~~
    the Dats gets a call from a neighbor to show up at the basketball courts so i pull my socks up way high... strap on some Yonex shoes.. and head out.
    I was terrible. Couldn't shoot at all... you know the guy thats so bad they don't even bother guarding you anymore. Yep, that was me.
    I of course was given the 6'4" legit jumping young guy to guard and I did a decent job on him until somebody would shoot and he would jump and tip it in before i even left the court. But he didnt score too much when i just guarded him and i knocked the ball away a lot.
    So... it was fun full court ballin and I was gettin an incredible workout.
    Then, the guy I showed up with (who is 6ft and 225lbs and very awkward on the court... he is all elbows and shoves and half the time picked me while im trying to guard my guy or would just leave his man all alone under the basket to come double team somebody out top) gets in an argument with one of our opponents. We had a mixture of chinese gangsters (all kind of chubby and smoking cigarettes between games but despite their height disadvantage they were pretty good at getting buckets even down low...)
    and some black guys that were younger and taller than everyone else.
    Well my neighbor gets into it with this chinese guy who said he kept fouling him and i actually thought they might start punchin any moment.
    All of a sudden, another chinese dood comes runnin across the court with a cigarette in his left hand and ran up behind my neighbor and tried to sucker punch him in the side of the head. Dunno when I actually did it, but at the last second i saw him and just shoved him as he was in full on "Kermit Washington vs Rudy Tomjonavich" mode.
    He still got off a decent punch but i threw him off balance and messed up his tko. Then there was a bunch of yelling and people holding people back... etc. Meanwhile the black doods were just ready to keep playing.
    A couple guys looked like they wanted to fight me and told them I wasn't going to let anyone suckerpunch anybody and basically called that dood a biyatch. He then tried to say he was coming at my neighbor straight on which even if it was true is bizarre cuz he wasn't involved at all.
    ~~~~ end long story of yadayada~~~~~
    anyway i was hoping to come out there every Monday but i don't think its worth it to deal with that kind of stuff.

    one of the only shots i made was a bizarre hook shot from the foul line and its never good when the other team spends 5 minutes joking and calling me Dan Majerle. But I wish I played like Thunder Dan. But I used to be able to play. I thought they were gonna say Kurt Rambis though... so I guess Ill take it as a compliment even though they were totally mocking me.

    Im wiped now though...

    p.s. - yall gotta try this:

    i tried to get more today but gran mart was out. dang.
    i shoulda told the asian gangsters about it!

    ok, Thunder Dats signing off

    Haha Dats that story brings back crazy memories of bball playing at Jefferson Park back in the mid 90's. So much fun but also tons of craziness like that. I wasn't there at the time but my homies said a couple dudes pulled a couple of 9mms onto the court cuz of some argument. SMH!

    Best days to run back then were Saturday and Sunday mornings. Everyone knew all the regulars there and there were always 3-4 teams waiting for next game. If your team wasn't any good, you'd only get a game in and go home cuz waiting for another game was gonna take forever. We'd come with a stacked team and win at least a few games. Lotsa good memories!!! Can't play worth **** now... Haha

    i am very pleased that no glocks were pulled over this cuz the basketball was pretty terrible. but i am pretty sure there was at least 1 gun in their cars.
    my neighbor invited another guy there too.. and it was pretty funny how he stayed completely out of it. turned invisible. i didnt want to get killed but i couldnt let my buddy get jacked up.
    neighbor owes me a 12pack of beer im pretty sure. ill have to consult the "bro code"
    i was gassed after 1 game and was actually trying to hide but i got picked up to keep playing.

    watching Drive Ins & Diners and the chicago place bopNgrill is looking like da B.O.M.B

    umami burger and bulgogi/philly cheesesteak egg rolls

    dooood..

    p.s. - i have a secret Salvadoran-mexican restaurant.. its mainly tacos and enchiladas but they have some other stuff too. but why bother.... the freekin chicken tacos and beef enchiladas are CRAZY good. but i've never told anybody about it and the only non-latino i saw in there today just ordered a cup of ice and left. it is highly authentic as judged by the clientele and they pretty much demand you order corona with your food.

    i will NEVER divulge where it is, but if we do a TWMAC meet around here sometime... i MIGHT be willing to take the participants for the ultimate food-fest.
    tacos are like $1.65 too and enchiladas are $3.50 for 2!
    and for some reason the Coke i had here was the best EVER. they use
    crushed ice...dunno.. but it was awesome. refills are a $1 tho.. grrrrr
    ok... im not telling u where this joint is... its all mine. mUHAHAHAHA

    --- just watched D,D,&D
    and it looks like we should head up to HW-land and hit up the R&R taqueria off i95 in elkridge! looks good!

    wow... looks like we could of used JRK's MMA services in this incident.

    I thought I was a ramen snob. I like Shin, Nissin (Tonkatsu, Curry, and XO Sauce), and Mama Brand Thai Instant Noodles (although i need to have at least 2 for a snack).

    I'll try making the ramen noodles. I got the noodle attachment bonus when I got my kitchenaid like 10 years back (still haven't opened the attachment yet, although my kitchenaid is used all the time) Always scared on how much of the Sodium Bicarbonate to use. Heard if you eat too much of that stuff, it causes kidney stones and some effect that warns we should call our doctors if it lasts more than 4 hours. I've always added neck and back bones. But didn't know we needed trotters as well for the broth. Great find!

    hey zap, do you play at Sligo Creek tennis courts? If so, is it still lighted? I think it's right off of Dennis Ave? We used to practice there because my middle school was right up the street. I used to play there so much, I remembered it was dangerous playing during fall because of the wet leaves on the ground. I remembered we had to literally kick off a group of seniors that always play there. For some reason, these gentlemen lost a sense of time once they step on the courts.

    I remeber the lasttime I played basketball I was also terrible. I used have great hands and incredible touch around the rim. I could finish with thebest of them, get a bunch of and-1's, all that jazz.

    But last time I played, I had passes bouncing off my hands. My hook shot was gone and I was brikin layups.

    But I could still hit jumpers and rebound. I was thinking the other day about gettin a run in HdG. I saw all the brothers out there playin adn almost stopped hitting against the wall to geta quick run in. But now I gotta let my hair grow out and channle my inner Mankind.

    Stick with tennis, dood. Then all you have to worry about are shirtless old guys at Pentagon courts, and JRK can take care of all of them with one hand while serving bombs with the other. :)

    I saw you run out of water but not eat baby food. Did you actually do the jarred stuff or something like pedialyte?

    I kept mixing up the MD and nova teams.

    Ironically I was using my MD championship towel in my match against the Baltimore team (the MD champions!).

    And, I'd like to announce, I broke a string! It was a Fh in my fourth match. Must be the massive topspin I was hitting.

    stringers of twmac -

    i'm getting a 15 pound discrepancy between what my drop-weight machine says and what a pitch-based tension tester says

    i strung at 60 and i'm getting 44.8 or something based on the tension tester.

    wtf?

    Have you tested the calibration on the drop weight?

    Also Ive noticed on the testers, their readings can vary depending on string type....I would measure against the previous and future string jobs to confirm readings.

    hope this helps

    baja's torta's are good. Just like the fact I can control how much of what I want. =) more meat more meat.

    did u measure right away? I heard we can always expect an average of 15 to 25% tension drop after the first 24hrs and after the first 15 min of play. This depends on experience, type of machine, temperature, etc. Important part is to get consistency on your machine so you can adjust your tension accordingly.

    schap and CB, i tested right after i strung but i have never tested w/ this particular device before.

    another thing i was thinking - the actual clamp that the frame rests on is on a sliding X axis and i'm wondering if that will make a difference.

    Chipotle is aiight. It depends if you want to house down mexican food.

    Chik fila basically wants all homosexuals and lesbians to die. As a man who had an intimate relationship with a lesbian I cannont support such a stance. If you dont think they should get married fine. But wanting them to die by closing on Sundays. I just cant support that stance.

    Plus Chik Fila is vastly overrated.

    Go with Chipotle. Even though Qdoba is better.

    You can check the calibration of the Drop weight, but if you are simply stringnin for yourself it aint a big deal. The tension will drop over time. But if the weight says 60 and its closer to 50 just move the weight to 65 or something if you want it tighter. As long as the weight is in the same spot and you get the weight to within .000025 degrees of the perfect horizontal plane and wait the same amount of tie between clamping it should be the same. If you want to know for sure get a scale and see it its pulling close to what the bar says. If its a sticker with numbers simply take the sticker off and move it. If its etched on like maybe mark it with a sharpie on what the actual weight is.

    Another weird thing.. The strings I put on this morning snapped while just sitting there while I went to shower. i tied my mains off at 6T and crosses at 5t and both mains 5 and 6 (on that side) snapped at the point where the knot was. Never had that happen before.

    I normally tie Parnell but I did double HH this time. I have read to pull extra tension on the strings just before the knots, is this BS? I don't remember if I did that or not when I would string back in high school.

    I'm not sure how you intend "do you use a clamp to tie" to mean.. I clamp off the string at the inside of the frame and then tie w/ the slack part as the bitter end and the string as the standing end.. I use a starting clamp to start crosses but I don't use it in my mains at all.
