    Dats what did you get?

Hit with auzzie yesterday - he hasn't lost a step. If anything, he's gotten way better. I had trouble keeping up.

Even though last match I played great and more importantly no wrist pain with blxproopens, I got IG speeds cuz they are so easy for me to use. Maybe less winners but way more control... It would be great to test them against a worthy opponent to see which I feel better using.
Probably blxpros on serve and IG on returns. Har

When will the USTA learn?? Downs is still razor sharp but has added a bigger first and second serve and sicker forehand angles! I predict triple bump

Dats, which IG Speeds did you get? I switched to the 315 16x19 ones a few months ago. Loving them!

We should hit at Sport & Health.

    ***THEY HAVE A DAYCARE***

Seriously, sometimes I go there even when I don't feel like working out just so I can drop Rio off on the weekends. :?

Severn repurposed half of its courts for other indoor sports. There was a big exodus to Bowie SportFit. I am a member there now in the winter time.

Yes, I was referring to the handle on the disc brake. It sounds like it should be something simple, but it is not working correctly with the multiple ways I tried to assemble that thing! I haven't contacted Alpha yet for assembly instructions, but that is probably all I have to do. I don't really use the brake though, so just haven't been motivated to do it yet.

Nitefly I got the IG 18x20.

JRK, sounds good to me... How old was rio when u 1st left her there? I don't think I could do it until 6mo or more. :( Maybe never, I don't truzt nobody. But we should still hit there... I'll have my mom or dog watch her for a while.
Gotta go today to Dr to get her a bunch of shots. Not happy about it.... Just hope it doesnt melt her brain. Geezuz, I just want to eat my breakast but jwoww is yelling at me to change and dress he baby. Fark, when did men become such wimps? Sigh.
    .....
Ok baby changed...off to Dr. Sigh

I don't remember how old Rio was when we first took her there. I've never seen more than 5-6 kids there and they are usually much older. The sitter just holds the babies while the other kids run around.

Alternatively we could just park the kids in the stroller and leave them courtside and pray that we don't nail them with stray tennis shots.

LOL, it's funny hearing you guys talk about "childcare" (arrangements) and tennis. It ain't easy, I tell ya.

And, Dats is probably right, most places won't take kids until they're 6 months old.

Hope all the vaccinations go well. For the short crying they do in the doc's office, it's usually nothing a quick feeding (or treats, depending on their age) won't solve. And...mine usually spent the afternoon sleeping it off. Plus they're protected from all sorts of really bad germies. I know there's a bunch of hoopla about mercury-this and autism-that, but, in the long run, for most people, I think it the right decision.

Doesn't the daycare charge an arm and a leg now though? Used to be free.

Don't worry about the shots Dats. They are actually not going to melt her brain. They'll keep her from getting really sick with other bad stuff though. Immunizations are not actually evil. And I say this because I know I used to be skeptical myself. Good luck! And good job listening to Jwow!

I think we had to pay an extra $10 a month for our membership when we added Rio. In total I think we pay $60 a month for two people plus a kid to use the gym.

Now, across the street at the day care Rio used to go to, it was $2k a month. Now we pay $600 on base.

i had two kids in daycare for a while. it was more than our mortgage. FML. now i got one in kindergarten which should theoretically be cheaper but it kinda evens out because they just need more stuff now.

JRK -- i was on the waiting list for base daycare for over 2 years for my kids. because i'm a dirty contractor - i have the absolute lowest priority. we have dogs at my building that help the wounded warriors who were shot up in afghanistan. contractors are lower on the totem pole than these dogs.

CB -- i have donnay silvers if you like to try. with the donnay customized weights too. works really well. so far i'm in heavy like with these racquets.

topaz -- good playing last night. that first set you and C looked well nigh invincible. that second set we either picked it up or you guys got bored and took it easy on us.

nitefly / dats -- i should've tried the 16x19 ig speeds. i had the 18x20 ig speeds courtesy of downs. but with full poly at downs preferred tension of 275 pounds (which not coincidentally is his preferred fighting weight of his womenz) ruined my arm and wrist and shoulder and any joints in between. BUT - they also make a super awesome THWOCK sound when you crush forehands and serves. it makes it seem like you're just destroying the tennis ball. in retrospect it's probably the sound of my joints though.

lunch today is a gyro. made by people who look decidedly not greek - so it's gonna be amazing.

Wut childcare at the gym is no longer free....aaaaargh why did I wait so long. Dang it.

Looks like we park the babies in strollers and hope JRK doesn't hit his nasty wide serve on the deuce court.

I'm not convinced these shots are necessary or safe, especially at this age,but I don't have the.energy to fight this battle.

Cmon mailman deliver my sticks.so I can string them up in case sumbody wants to challenge the data for mac supremacy! (must beat me in tennis and drink more beer while eating buffalo wings all at the same time.)

I think I'm going to Plaka this weekend. Omg, been to long Mr.Gyro!
Crap, I can't remember a good wing place around here. Buffalo wild wings sux ill tell u that.

Man, sup has an awesome bar with best dang wings in ftlauderale and I bet he never even goes there. Can't believe I played tennis after that pigout! I prolly ruined that bar for him after going there and covering my face in wing sauce. Does not attract the chikzz like u would think. Well, not the kind u want to see on the beach in bikini.

i was thinking about parking the strollers on the service line and see who can knock it over first with their groundies.

I guess I'll pick another drill..

are these the extended? I thought they will be too light for your specs?

Great choice about having non-greeks preparing your gyro. At least your meal won't be subjected to austerity measures and get only half of ur meal.

CB -- no the extended version is only on the silver lites. mine weigh about 11.3 ounces strung up. with the possibility to add another 19 ounces or so with the customization kit. i've noticed most of the arm comfort as the exo3 tours, bigger sweetspot though, similar spin and control. really maneuverable. i likes em so far.

all sounds yum except for veggie and salad part.

@tmonk: thanks. was looking at the extended. How does the thin beam work out? Does it whip through air pretty fast?

I'm hooked on mixed green salads with trader joe balsamic vinegar dressing. Their Tuscan balsamic dressing is amazing. Throw on some carrots and sweet grape tomatoes and I'm good to go. Might toss in some red peppers if I have them.

TM...C and I have a habit of doing that, getting a nice big lead, and then squeaking out sets. We switched sides for the second set...just to try it out. And then went promptly back to our original set up. Thanks for coming out...we have a Big Match coming up!

    Right Downs????

I think Auzzie is temporarily in Maine.

Yeah, well...that isn't hard to figure out when considering the results last time.

I'm pretty sure I know the lineup. We will have to see how close or far off I am on Sunday!

(you mean you don't want to team up with the same person as last time?!?! Though you still made it awfully close considering!)

Oh no, that would mean I would have to find a tennis court with pickup truck access. When you say demo, it usually means a truckload amount of racquets.

Got any donnays? tmonk and u got me really interested. I shall bring my lonely three racquets for demo'ing as well.. LOL...

If you guys do Monday drop me a note ahead of time. I'm trying to see if I can get out on hit on Monday. Figure it's a holiday so I'll try to squeeze a bit of tennis in or McBail if the wife gives me the evil eye for asking.

LOL! There's a time for putting your foot down... when you have two infants at home is generally not the time.
