so what's for lunch folks? Hopefully with my broken glasses, I get to see double when it comes to food. Maybe this means I can get the feel that I ate 2x as much.

I saw that on tennislink. Funny, I didn't realize that if my wife & I had played, we could have played against you in the 7.5 Loudon league. I'm registered w/ the Dominators, but due to "child activity scheduling" haven't played a match, probably will not bother at this point.

In fact, has anyone ever had any luck getting reimbursed for registering then never playing?

    *yawn*

CB - you have coke bottle glasses? back in the day before lasik i had really bad nearsightedness. -8.5 in both eyes.

zapvor - i tried learning a 2 hander but i was awkward and tentative. kinda like you with that girl. how about we both bite the bullet and meet our fears head on? i get a reliable backhand and you get someone to shampoo your hot dog.

wookie - i'm looking at a used mdx with nav and that ceiling dvd. do you know if their are video/audio jacks to connect an xbox?

downs / paul - i am off for 2 weeks in the middle of december. i wanna hit. i'll even come out to the boonies of va.

i'm doing a wilson demo day next week for their new spin effect racquets. has anyone tried these ultra open string patterns yet?

TM - yes, my MDX has several inputs in the console for the passengers in the rear, just below the rear climate controls.

envy envy envy. just having salad. my highlight is some chickpea mix. I think even Buddhist monks on strict veggie diets would feel sorry for me.

Only do it if you are going get $30 in coffee. I always fill in 1/4 of the cup with milk when going to Starbucks to off set the dark taste. I guess I get my $$$ worth.

yeah, i have been warned not to look into the sun multiple times with my thick glasses. I blamed it on endless hours of studying. Or endless hours of screen time. =)

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out if I would end up drinking $30 on coffee. What is the cost of startbuck brewed coffee now days? Problem is, I'd probably cave and buy a pastry - so no money savings there.

CB- you should try the Blonde roast - great flavor, not so dark. Or get a Caffe Misto - http://www.starbucks.com/menu/drinks/brewed-coffee/cafe-misto

I still have some Hex left in black & a lil white too. Very good spin and control. In certain frames, they can feel really nice especially since they're cheap hold tension OK too. Some frames, they feel a lil "plasticky"... They felt pretty good in some old i.Rads I had... Let me know if you want some...1.18mm

Grande blonde roast is 2.05 in DC. My morning staple before heading into work in Georgetown.

McLovin, the Dominators have at least one more big match coming up. You only need two to qualify for Boars Head! ;)

Downs, was it 7.5 that did your arm in???

They're probably really helpful because they think you're joking when you appeal your rating every other week ;)

    Back home? You're Australian??

And no, I've never heard of that person. <Preparing to get burned> I don't own a TV, and haven't since 2009

When is the McLovin v. Downs showdown spectacular going down??? And where will it be streamed live??

That's nothing...3 jobs, full time nursing school, and tennis.

    I'm exhausted.

Tennis will calm down now that I'm a 4.0, lol.

(though...I should note...I don't work at any one of the jobs a lot...a bit here, a bit there...)

Looking at this weekend, but haven't firmed up anything yet. Still in talks with The Tennis Channel on broadcasting rights...
If its me, I'm hoping I can do better than 1 for 16 on break points. In my defense, you pulled out some killer volleys on 14 of them.

JRStriker: Prestiging now is not that bad now. We get to keep all our attachments once we unlock the guns. But I don't know what perks we get now? Do we still get an extra customizable class?

Something about these Exo Tours. I had a couple of killer drop shot half volleys playing dubs Sunday.

mikeler -- the exo3 tours do seem to make drop volleys easier. the mushiness / flex makes soaking up just enough pace easier. since my switch to donnays, i haven't quite dialed in drop volleys.

sapient -- that video is impressive. 800K views of a guy de-boning a chicken. but then again kim kardashian has a lot more than 800K views of her de-boning.

anyone wanna hit tonight -- i think it's like 70 degrees out.

what's for lunch -- i want chicken galantine now. where do i get that?

against Team America! need to finish them off!

going to watch the bolivian neck tie on Friday evening -- he told me to bring my racquets so we can hit when he finishes early...i like how he already knows the outcome of his matches before they start...

Does he call out where he is going to serve beforehand?

i played dubs against BNT (bolivian neck tie) with downs. he would tell downs he's going to blast a flat serve down the T. downs would be ready and blink. Ace.

and with me BNT liked to toy with me and hit drop shots at angles that defied natural laws of science and human decency. my favorites were the drop shots with me about 2 feet away from the net and he angles them in the corner by the alley. Winner.

i think the best part is BNT is prolly carrying an extra ullyses s. grant in lbs but he's pretty solid player.

true story - he actually called one of his serves out for his opponents, so he could be nice and hit them a soft second serve...they told him, it's their call and they wanted the point...he gets pissed, then serves 3 straight 120+ mph aces to close the game...

...this was for 7.5 mixed too...like the honey badger, he does not care...

HAHAHAHAHAHA. 7.5 mixed? i didn't know you could play 4.5 with a 3.0 girl in 7.5 mixed. that's awesome. he's like a 5.0+ playing 4.5. so the disparity between him and the girl is like:

wow... BNT looks like the type that eats 4.5's for a light snack.
Where does he play? Does he play in USTA leagues? Gotta check out this legend.

he plays 4.5...i played him in singles...i think i lost 2 and 5...

another good story -- then i'll stop -- back in the day when he was in his tennis prime -- he got a letter with an invitation into the US Open qualifying...his (now ex) wife hid the letter from him and he didn't find out years later...he cried...

How did he get his nickname BNT?

is this the same guy that plays at Fairfax Racquet Club that use to play nationals for another country? If so, I have of heard of this person from 3 other sources other than here.

Does this person giggle at ppl while hitting and violates all human rights rules by drop/lobbing while watching ppl cry in mercy and pain to retrieve the ball?

It looks like there is not much difference between the legend of Chuck Norris and Gary's legend in tennis...except an accent and a better forehand.

    The legend grows.

P.s. Most would tear a little for Gary regarding the us open letter. Will be a touching moment in his memoirs.

The question is what actor could play Gary in his movie?

    Chuck Norris?

Sounds like dude is off the NTRP scale. How does he avoid the DQ? Or more importantly why does he continue to crush your average hacker in leagues? Sort of pointless, no?

We played some 'fun' dubs after our last match. I asked for a 'third' serve. I still didn't touch it. He had fun toying with us.

He just loves to play, so he doesn't care if it is with a 3.0 or with Downs. I think he likes the challenge with the 3.0 (though, two of ours are now 3.5s)

Sunday he played 18 holes of golf, 8.5, then 7.5. His 8.5 clinched a districts spot, and he was giddy as a school girl about it. Nice to see someone so good get excited about beating up on us scrubs.

It is rumored that he played Davis Cup.

He is computer rated. Didn't get the bump to 5.0. He's kinda ticked off about it too.

I think the words Davis cup should qualify for an automatic bump to 5.0.

Guess some people just like to win, even if they crush their little sis at tic-tac-toe.

I've heard of him, before. Just wish I could see him in action, sounds beastly.
