    Hi all!

I am new to the area and just wanted to pop in and say hi and see if any of you have advice for how to get involved with USTA and find a team in the area (DC, NoVa, MoCo). I know some teams in HoCo, but that's too far of a drive for me to do regularly. Are there any clubs in the area where lots of the USTA players practice or hit around where you'd recommend I go and try to meet people to play with?

Also for some reason I got a taste to eat some Zippy's chili spaghetti.

    JRK can attest I'm sure.

If you're looking for USTA teams in NoVA, check with Ingrid Clark at Homecourt Tennis - http://www.homecourttennis.com/
She's the NoVA coordinator and put you in touch with captains looking for players.

There are a few clubs that run teams. I know RJ Tennis (http://rjtennis.com/) at 4 seasons runs a few teams. Try doing a few drop in clinics and you could also contact Rob at RJ Tennis and see if he's looking for players.

I don't play in DC or MoCo - so can't help you there.

In elementary school I would sell those coupons for Zippy's chili for the school fundraisers. I never had a person tell me no, haha.

That place was awesome. I would get the chocolate pudding pie that had whip cream on top.

I would also eat at the Yum Yum Tree... oh snap didn't realize they closed the last one <sniff>.

So I am going to be near DC (actually Silver Springs, MD) for a month (all Feb) and am looking for a people/place to play since I know noone. Have you guys heard about Georgetown Prep Tennis club? Is this a good place to play?

    Any suggestions?

    I'm a 5.0 player played a little college tennis.

Also if anyone wants to play hit me up

I was there 03-06 maybe played tennis 3 times the entire time I was there.

Also that Bravo place under Anna Millers was mediocre at best.

I think his girl goes there and he doeasnt want anyone else tapping that until he mans up and asks her out.

The longer you wait Zap the more time someone else has to sneak in there and hit that.

Anything is possible I guess. But he has had her racket for like 6 months and wont even call to return it.

Somone may have already pulled an M.C Ren and found her Fckd her and fleed.

Or maybe Zap M.C Renned her @$$. Its hard to tell.

For the record I have never M.C Renned anyone but may have to if Zap doesnt pick his game up with this tennis chic.

Tried out the Steam 105S yesterday, a buddy of mine had the stick as a demo. Nice spin stick. Feels solid and heavier than it's 10.5oz weight. You get decent spin from it but IMHO, it's not a game changer in my hands. Also way to tempted to rafa-moonball everything.

For lunch today, Basil Tyme Two stopped by with the beef brisket ravioli - yum!

it seriously snowed every single day we were there...best conditions of any trip...i think they got 50+ inches this past week! haha...it was ridiculous...but i do love me some powder...no lift lines either...which was nice...

the skip "town" wasn't all that...so if you're looking for nice places to eat, there weren't a ton of options...

Thats like a ton of powder. I dont even think rick ross could sell that much powder. You guys are like good to push weight like that. Most people would measure in grams or ounces, maybe kilos for the true baller elite status. but to measure powder in inches. You must be like every rapper who ever lived combined. then youi sell iot all to Flavor Flav and DMX.

For the record Ive never been to COL or Utah skiiking. I went boarding once with some chic I worked with in hopes of MC Renning her. But then she got tired and i wanted to board still.

But I hear the chances out west of MC Renning broads exponetially increases relaint on the anmount of aforementioned baller elite status powder.

No, moonballs in your hands are all good. Moonballs in my hand just lead to more running, I'd prefer to end the point early rather than run like Rafa and moonball for days.

Decent stick though, still not switching from the Prestiges, I think I get a more penetrating ball with about just as much spin with a full bed of tour bite. Maybe I need more of a western grip to get a bigger effect.

No, it was a tent when he posted it. Steep & Cheap (as well as Whiskey Militia) change products ~ every 20 minutes, depending on the sale.
