so after hitting with the monkey friday, i've decided to dust off my now infamous cloth hanger and do a racquet. before you all post to compliment me on glorious work, i'd like to point out that bottom main port was intentionally swapped with the cross to:

    1. bring the sweet spot down from the top of the hoop
    2. have more room for my custom dampener made out of solid rubber.
    3. make it a tad more balanced in term of weight, swing weight, flex and influx
    4. to create a unique stencil similar to babolat but 100x better.

after some air swing in the room as well a phone conf to **** of DC, i can confirm that this will be a winner string job and most likely will add 17.5 to 33.25% more spin on my FH and around 25% to by BH.

Yeah. I'm playing w/ one of the high school girls. Not sure which place, though. Probably in the lower range ( 5-8 ). John (the pro), Derek, Seth (the other pro) will likely play the top spots.

Do you know what position you are playing?

Also, did Derek ever contact you about the 4.5 team? I gave him your e-mail.

i'm not sure what court i'm on, or who i'm playing with yet...

Derek didn't contact me back yet -- I was going to respond to your email but got busy and forgot...so it looks like there are a few more teams this year? are you guys playing in the fredericksburg league? did i read that right?

i want to hit with your pacific frame! haha

Yes, we look to have at least 3 teams this year, which is good. Playing the same team over & over gets monotonous.

Well, I'm free later this afternoon (after 3) if you want to hit.

OK, but high school tennis starts this week, so things are going to get tight for me soon. I'm planning on holding practice only 4 days a week, so hopefully our schedules will coincide & we can get a day here or there.

    There's always the weekends.

I believe two matches in one day is called a 'rest day' for downs...

yeah that's her, small world. Hope you have lots of bad things to say about her! Haha no, I just like to give her a hard time.

Do you play at Ida Lee a lot? As a Leesburger I've probably ran into you either there or the weight room.

I know Maria too...played on her summer team last year, and we've been on mixed teams together. About time she gets her butt moved up!!! She has more National titles than Downs I think!!!

Mine flares up on and off...lately its been pretty bad. I've OD'd on aleve. I'm too broke to go to the guy who fixed it last time. :(

JD beat up on me in Moco the other night. She was playing awesome. Very clean.

So Vinnie/Lu, Matt/? I think I know who Matt is playing with as he played with her at our county championships, and they beat Vinnie & Lu in the finals.

It was one of the few times I've watched mixed doubles where the plan was 'hit it to the guy'...

Your team will likely sweep the #1 & 2 spots. I don't think we have any women that can match yours. Hell, I don't think we have any men that can match your women...

Middleburg had a top player from George Mason (Jorge Osuna) who worked there over the summer, but I don't know if he's still there. They also have a top junior (Noah Fenton) who's already accepted to Richmond on scholarship, and his younger brother Adam who's real good, but I'm not sure how strong their women are. 'Red Bill' has defected to Middleburg, and we're not too happy about it.

If you're playing 7th I know the team you are playing against from CFAC. Sorry, can't say more than that. Team secrets...

Apparently he joined recently, mostly for business contacts (he's in the mortgage lending business). But his decision to play for them wasn't received well at our club, mostly because it was a short notice decision.

Bill has been a member of CFAC for almost 15 years now, and has played for us in both this tournament and the Morgan Dennis Cup for all those years. There's no argument that he's one of the best doubles players we have, and to see him switch after being a member for only 2 months feels like a slap in the face to Derek.

But, he's got to go where the business is, and if playing for them helps his business, then who are we to argue?

I will also add that everything I typed above I've heard second or even third-hand. I try to stay out of the rumor/gossip mill that is Chestnut Forks, and haven't spoken to Bill about it.

However...Bill dropped his racquet off over the weekend, so maybe I should ask Derek what it's worth to him for me to string it at 38lbs :)

    (I'm kidding, of course)

    Day #6

In a room of drunks the sober person laughs less but usually last.

    Sober = funny. Drunk =hilarious.

Like watching topaz light a cigarette by the wrong end...funny sober but hilarious drunk.

Watching sappy go to restroom at guapos (?) restaurant , only to come back to a sombrero birthday ...funny sober, hilarious drunk.

Watching dats being hit on by crack drunk Gina, ....ok that's hilarious either way.

    Lunch today...whatever...hunger alludes me.

I hope Swingers feels the target on their back. Especially their captain. Did you play that match? I think so...she was hollering about CB and then she was hollering about JD (notice, there was noooo hollering about me?).

PF is better today, and was ok last night for a singles match. But I was very hesitant on it, and on clay, that didn't go well. Got beat rather badly, though it was a long match. I guess I like to draw out my beatdowns? Still felt so good to play singles!!!

    *bigsmile*

    When/where is this tournament???

Thx for asking about my demos! Well i tried a bunch of $189 racquets and i think i might just get a few $62 frames. I probably play the best with them but they might permanently damage my wrist and shoulder. But hey 62 bucks.... I can afford surgery and physical therapy with the money i save on sticks!
Plus they will still match my blx bag...bonus!

Cheap Enduro pro has been playing well in this frame so i am excited to try black code and rqzor code in them too!
Blxproopen on sale JRS... I give big twmac discount and 1 slightly used overgrip!

To Sup: I don't always drink whiskey...

Sometimes its vodka, other times its rum, and during the winter months, its a mix of whiskey, brandy, honey and sugar, heated in the microwave for ~ 90 seconds.

We call that a "hot toddy" in the deep South. My mom used to fix it up for us kids when we got a cough or a fever. We were a sickly clan, if I remember correctly.

To me: NyQuil is only for those who need it...it's not a shot!

Jack Daniels makes me angry, turn green, and run around only wearing cut off purple sweat pants.

I've not had a hot toddy but it sounds good about right now. It's been in the 60s the last two days. Back to 70s today.

Not giving up on the prestiges yet. Plus there's no reason to get new sticks if I'm mostly playing 1x a week.

How do you accidentally win something on e-bay?

Oops! I accidentally signed in, searched on something, clicked on a result, entered in a price, then clicked 'confirm', then clicked 'confirm' again!

Damn I hate when that happens :)

Was it the demo model for $90, 4 3/8 grip, item #390542218303?

I may be living in the "union" according to tennis monkey, but I was thinking the same thing. From now on I'm all about accidents.

    - "officer I accidentally went 120mph"
    - "usta I accidentally self rated at 5.0. "
-" fund manager, I accidentally put too much money on a dud stock, please refund me"
-" I accidentally fell on your girlfriend several times and can't find my pants"
-"bartender I accidentally have been ordering top shelf vodka all night. I meant the cheap stuff. Please bill me accordingly".

But we all have a problem or we wouldn't be on this site.
