i'd wait unless it's a low ball bid. we might be looking at a bit of man made slump if the gov budget doesn't come through. logic says that we should but than again the current state of politics defies logic and/or reason

I had the same feeling too about the bid. but the way houses fly in the areas in certain parts of Mont County is crazy. who thought in these times of economic uncertainty there are still bidding wars on houses.

30 yr IR is crazy low. I I think I saw low 3's.

    Rates are low.

I just refi'd my house. 30 yr fixed at 3.25. That was after the lender paid a 2.5 % credit. No cost to me at all.

I just let my buddy call me up when the mortage deals are their. If you want his info I can pass it along. Charges lowest fees of any mortage broker I know.

Thanks. gotta decide on whether to place a bid first. But need to move before summer for kid's kindergarden starts.

Zap: For one piece stringing, how do you measure the long side again? two piece is taking up to 45 minutes. i think i'll be fired at your shop if i strung that slow.

So I'm back from Tri-Level Nationals at Indian Wells -- it was definitely hot the entire time i was there! 95 pretty much everyday (average high was supposed to be around 78 ). Our team finished 2-1 in our bracket and just missed making the semi's by 1 court. In the match we lost our 4.5 court had 2 match points, and my partner and I lost in a close 3rd set tiebreaker. Lame!!

Still had a great time -- they put us on side stadiums and practice courts. In one of my matches I was playing and 2 courts down was Maria Kirilenko -- slightly distracting. But yeah, I had a great time. Got to see the men's doubles finals, and the men's and women's finals on Sunday. If you get a chance to go to nationals, tri-level is the way to go!

My problem is I keep putting all my eggs into one basket. I need to take the Downs approach, cover my bases, and play for pretty much every team in the section...

if you need help moving i am in:)

for 1 pic its easier to measure the short side. you basically pull so you have enough to do the half, either 8 or 9 mains depending on racket. then whatever is left is your long side. haha 45min isnt bad. just practice thats all

thx. in short, measure 9 mains + enough to tie knots. I still start from the center, right? Also, I should use a sailor knot because it can hold tension?

went thru some youtube vid's, but wanted to confirm.

trying to decide whether to get some BB strings? really good price right now. I still have alot of packages.

    what's for lunch? i'm hungry.

also tour bite soft both bites and is soft. would string again.

luxilon m2 pro is soft and not so spinny and trampoliney. would not string again.

thinking bout switching sticks again. it starts off like a little gnat in my head and soon it will grow and i will have no choice but to buy new sticks. somebody throw me an intervention. or buy my old sticks.

    I'm thinking Fish and chips.

I wonder tennismonkey. If I gave you the same stick with a different paint job, would you find them more interesting and not lose your love for them? Basically is it a matter of aesthetics or is it really performance?

    Cool blue,

Ill ask drakulie at the Sony, but do knots really matter if its a hybrid, one piece, or two piece? I can maybe see it being effective if you don't use a starting clamp...but can the Parnell knot be your universal go too?

sup -- i would not be fooled by a new paintjob. i have however not bought sticks because they offended my sensibilities and my retinas. mostly all the super yellow racquets even if they are in my wheelhouse of what i think are good specs for me. i just pulled the trigger on a blx tour 95. 10.7 ounces strung. pretty much even balance. slightly extended length. i've demoed this in the past when it was orange and blue and played great. but didn't pick em up because they were hideously ugly and offended my retinas. i am going to give the ugly girl a chance because maybe she has a great personality and has low self esteem and will bend over backwards to please me.

I'm eyeing the TaKorean truck outside.

Seriously? Did they do that to the Vette? I've seen photos, but I don't recall it looking that station wagon-ish.

Dump the Vette and pick up a Merc E63 AMG station wagon. That thing would give almost anything a run for the money.

Good to hear the Tour Bite soft is good. I've got to give it a try, but I need to clear out all the string I have already, plus the gut I"m picking up this week.

Not bad. The audi S7 is a good looking car too.

FWIW - Merc gets to 60 in 3.8 and has almost 57.8 cubic feet of cargo space. Plus you get the sleeper element of the wagon. Cops prob love that Red "S"badging. ;)

Still wishing for a CTS-V station wagon.

He's working for priority 1 stringing for the tournament (guys who string for murray, federer and some other of the big names).

Without federer and nadal the tournament doesn't seem to have as much worth. Del potro will be who'll ill watch. Maybe another verdasco melt down. Also Friday night I'm tempted to do the Miami heat game. Maybe overkill ....tennis +basketball= long day/night.

46 pounds. the softest full bed poly that i've tried so far. a lot more spin than any multi i've tried. thinking bout trying even lower tension. i hit with it last week and i didn't like it much. hit again last night and noticed a lot more comfort and a lot more pocketing.

any of you local folks been to oyamel in DC? i wanna try chapulines tacos. bonus points if you have had this before or you know what it is:

I'm toying with the idea of trying it full bed at 30 pounds after reading through the low tension thread.

I need a PJ on my nCode. It's lookin' kinda ratty. But I'm still lovin' it. Swung it with success on Tuesday. Looking forward to my Ladies-Who-Lunch-But-Play-Tennis-First league and (shhh) USTA Spring season in April. Probably have to play more singles than I wanna but, eh, whatever Cap'n. Just put me in the lineup!

On a side-note, I'm excited about the "+" provisions of the highest NTRP in an area. We've got two ladies of the 5.5 category who will get to play USTA again for the first time in a few years. While its only a 2-team "flight," I just might make it a mission to go check out a few of their matches. Hmmm, women who can hit the ball....and not sound like an adult film. I tried, I really, really tried to watch the IW Finals. Couldn't do it. Shriekitova is just too much for me.

AQ, you didn't miss much in the final. Both semis were better matches IMO.

The nCode is a sweeeeet stick!

Had my first day in the ICU for my preceptorship. And HOLY COW!!! Totally insane!

    I kinda liked it! :)

Got out of sushi taro about an hour ago with a deep hole in my wallet. The food is still good but way over priced. A tiny bow of rice for 2 bucks pretty much sums it up. Oh well was trying to check out little serow operated by the Komi owner bit the line was too long. Next time but no more sushi taro for this poster

I watched a bit of the final with the volume down low. I wanted to see Sharapova crush a moonballing pusher. ;) Okay, maybe not a pusher, but moonballs? Seriously?

I'm constantly surprised by how some are so negative of what is obviously a winning tactic. Moon balling to kerbers bh is what got wozzie into the final. Which is worse? Wozzie using a smart tactic to make her opponent uncomfortable? Or kerbers inability to deal with a high ball?

As much as I like Kerber, I think it is the latter.
