If its a Memphis vs Heat NBA finals you might see me very soon.

Ill drive the 12 hours go to game sleep in car drive home.

If SA makes it ill drive the 19hours to MIA go to game, sleep in car drive home.

Either way I think Im gonna ry to go to NBA finals. Unless its OKC or GSW and not the Heat.

Actually I would go to IND to watch Hibbert take on Duncan. But if its IND MEM or IND vs GSW Im out.

NP, we will do next week. We'll goto get Church comfort food next week? If you're a fan of meatloaf, i think they have the best there.

Can't believe I am loving poly on my PK Q15! I have Silverstring strung at 55lbs and it still has killer pace and spin. Took alittle lead off the handle. Timing is still off on serves. I think it's the extra .25 in that throwing me off. (at least that's what I am blaming on)

Could very well be a Griz/Heat final, but don't ever count out Coach Pop. Don't see Indy or GS getting through, and Oak City ain't the same without Westbrook. Durant is spectacular, but without Westy, Big D gets tired in the 4th and can't get it done against the Griz' D. Pop will be a different story, so we'll have to see.

I do think the Griz is the one team MIA would like to avoid. That inside game and in-your-face D give everyone fits.

    I'm down for meatloaf.

    -----

TennisMonkey - I made a run to whole foods after your harissa post. Did a nice Harissa roasted chicken and chickpeas dish. This one is quick, tasty and easy to do: http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/...-roasted-chicken-with-chickpeas-and-red-onion

If it's the heat.. you don't need to sleep in a car. You can visit HW.. bring J.O... and please please show them how to make a real crab cake down here. It's a sin what they call a crab cake down here.

Heck if Memphis takes on the Heat.. i'll go with you to visit Xisbum. See it in both towns.. epic!

p.s. We should of done that one day trip to eat the famous greasy burger.

I have JO. Ill get some crabs and pick the meat myself. bring it down in a cooler and make a couple crab cakes.

I did the trip and ate the grease burger it waas the 100 Year Old grease burger at that point. I also got mad at the Xman becuase everytime he took a picture it was of me eating some delicious fattening morsel. Either grease burger or BBQ nachos or something. Them guys know how to cook BBQ in Memphis.

He also probably still has the Natty Bo's.

Good to know about the pictures.

I have a couple pics of Dats with a buffalo wing sauce beard. Classic. I miss hanging with Dats. It's like a reality show but you're the only one tuned in. I hope they never cancel the "Dats real" show. Either way I wouldn't post a pic of food eating pic of Dats without his permission. I do have some really nice ones of him and Jwow at Honeypig.

If you bring the crab cakes that would be awesome. If you take a plane, please video tape what TSA does when you tell them what you are bringing on board. LOL. Another reality show.. "Hollywood de Grace".

The best food pic i have of a TWMAC member is Tennismonkey attempting to eat one of JRK's pitbulls. Don't think there has been one time I've met Tennismonkey without having a good laugh.. oh and he has humor too! Doh.

    Hollywood,

Just curious how Xisbum keeps his lip whiskers from not turning redish with BBQ sauce? Does he use wet naps or does he have a special way of eating. I always wondering how the long bearded ate without looking like a zombie after a feast.

    Just curious.

Why keep it off when dark 'tasche = 10-year-younger look? Plus you get to savor the ribs that much longer. :)

Would have taken more pix of HW in Elvisland, but he didn't want to try the raft trip down the Big Muddy:

South and Central Florida are loaded with tennis players. Our 4.5 team last year made it to Nationals only to get blown out by those young ex D1 players on the 4.5 teams. This year, we have the 40+ division to protect us from the young bucks.

    - Have you ever dated someone famous? or someone who turned famous? Or by sleeping with them they became famous?
    - Have you every owned a muscle car? What kind?
    - Have you ever seen a shark in the wild with your own eyes?
    - Have you ever seen a bear in the wild and survived?
    - Have you every hunted and killed your prey?
    - Have you every been on TV? What was the reason?

    Thank you..

    In order:
    1. Not yet; gotta save something for the 70s. Have been in a helicopter a couple of times, diving from 250 feet at a 60-degree angle to spray crops from 10 feet. That was a hoot.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes.
    4. Not really; prefer quick and agile to brute force. (Did break 115 mph a couple of times, but that was in a Dodge Dart with a 318-ci engine, hardly a "muscle" car.)
    5. Yes, from the surface. Plan to visit them underwater as soon as my son teaches me scuba diving. (See #1)
    6. Yes, obviously. I think.
    7. Yes.
    8. Yes, twice. Once in St. Louis when I was 7, went on a locally produced Santa show at Xmas. Once in Memphis, as president of Memphis Tennis Association went on air to promote MTA/USTA's National Junior Tennis League for underprivileged children.

    You are welcome.

When I can get 'em; those you brought didn't last very long. My Grizzlies are looking good so far; Griz/Heat just might be in the cards. Beale Street really rocks after a Griz game; would be a fun trip for youse guys.

Out of that last batch of racquets I demoed, I found a winner!

Yonex VCore 89 - Solid, yet still very maneuverable. Its easier for me to hit flat serves with Yonex for some reason. Kicker very good with this one too.

The other racquets I tried we all good, but nothing that I would have switched for.
Yonex VCore 98Xi - Served flat great, but lost heaviness on the kick. Groundstrokes not as heavy as the 89.
Wilson Steam 99S - It was ok. I didn't notice a huge increase in spin. Served great.
Head Graphene Speed Pro - I like this one too, I will probably give it some more time before I send them back. But I'm loving the Yonex.

In other news... I am now playing singles on my 3.5 team. Got beat badly last night in my first singles match due to inability to deal with a loopy ball to the middle of the court. Grrrrrr.. I started serve and volley second set and that helped, but the other guy was solid baseliner and was more consistent than me. Great learning experience. I will definately learn more patience at this level.

So anyone have a hook-up for the Yonex VCore 89s????

Good job finding a stick Fly.

Youl get the hang of 3.5 and find out how to compete.

And if patience aint your game screw it. You always have to think attack. Once you start thinking patience you miss the oppurtunity to jump on that one chance you may get to take over a point. Experience will come and you will figure it.

just have to endure the growing pains.

Check out this article about our baseball game the other day.

    http://havredegrace.patch.com/articles/havre-de-grace-warriors-baseball-advances-to-region-semifinal-perryville-mpssaa-may15-2013#video-14383905

These kids were so fired up. I dont exactly get it because we have to win three more. But the game was exiting. was tied in bottom of 6 (high school plays 7) lead off man gets on. Steal 2d. Bunt to third, squeeze play gets go ahead run home.

Top 7 two outs tie on 2d. Short fly ball, left fileder was hobble earlier but somehow makes a diving catch to end it.

Earlier in the game our catcher made on of the greatest plays on a popup Ive ever seen. He lost it off the bat he found it late and started busting towards 1st base dugout. Dives like 5 feet and grabs it.

Watchthe video and see me go to give the pitchers his props. Instead of the dap he grabs my hand and bear hugs me.

Thx man. These kids really are making some strides as players. They aint where they should be for thier age IMO, but the others teams really aint either.

Never been a fan of mattingly. Then it all made sense when i found out him and ripken are business partners in some regards.

We were paying a hittinggame in practive yesterday. I had some of the kids on a team and the other 2 coaches had teams. One coach said he would treat his team to McD's if they won. They asked if I would buy them anything, and one of the kids asked for a 30 pack.

Had an epic comeback in my first ever USTA league match today playing 40+, 4.5 line 1 without our 5.0. We were down 6-2, 3-1 in the 5.0/4.5 versus us two 4.5s and we eventually got up a break, only to go down a break and then play a TB.

Saved 3 match points at 6-3 and then another at 7-6. Won that set on an ace from yours truly then dominated the Super TB. We played line 1 dubs as the sacrificial lambs to win the 2 lower lines and pulled it out. Epic win followed by epic drinking...

So guys, I'm going to be moving to Fort Belvoir around August and wanted to stop in and say hi. Once I get moved I'll definitely be looking around for some hitting partners, leagues, etc. The Army is good at taking my time but I always enjoy good tennis.

    Just read this article!

Great Whites off the coast of the keys.

    http://www.wsvn.com/news/articles/l...otographer-gets-close-up-shot-of-great-white/

I'm going to Key West this weekend!

It would be beyond awesome if I could see one in the wild. Trying to get a charter boat.. though the last one was 10 miles out. Maybe I can rent a boat.

What's for lunch? Hopefully not me this weekend... but it would be a telling story.

I know we had this discussion a few months ago, but I'm too lazy to go back and look for it. Looking for clay courts in or near Reston to play Mr. McLovin.

What Sup said (North Hills or Glade: https://www.reston.org/ParksRecreat...c=HzT9ACzZbNs=&fqenc=yC3nvofbR52lm8YBgQxwXw==)

But are either of you members of Reston tennis? If one at least one of you is not a member you may get the boot if Manny the court monitor rolls around.

Is that the guy we can pay $5 to leave us alone? Just answered my own question:

    https://www.reston.org/ParksRecreat...c=HzT9ACzZbNs=&fqenc=PW/SEWQLv6Kx08RQhRx7IA==

$5 for a clay court, I'm all for that! McLovin, which of those 2 locations is closer to your work? They are both about 15 minutes away for me. See below:

    https://www.reston.org/ParksRecreat...c=HzT9ACzZbNs=&fqenc=yC3nvofbR52lm8YBgQxwXw==

Oh snap, I reread an earlier McLovin post and it looks like at least 1 person has to be a resident.
